Surprisingly, I've never had problems with second hand gpus. I purchase used (or preferably via retail open box) frequently. I don't think I would purchase a full rig second hand - especially off of ebay. I always personally inspect the used items before purchasing.

Fun fact - I've had to RMA several new parts - never a used one.
Lucky I guess...

Next time, with your next brand new account don't be so aggressive, making posts just to increase your ranking. I wonder why do you need so many accounts?
Anyway, make sure your next posts either answer the OP question, colaborate or add value or better refrain from posting.
P.S. luck does not exist, have a nice day

As a general rule I do not like buying second hand electronics, be it ASIC, GPU, rig or laptop, ...

Second hand mostly means no warranty and that is if you receive something that works, are not fake, ... in the 1st place.
Very true.
I think that's the first and most important point to keep in mind.
Other than that searching locally, I  can have access to gaming PCs second hand that some boys sels because they need money, and theyr cheap.
I guess that  if I get good deals I can lose warranties but earn economy.

As the title says, what are your thoughts about buying second hand mining rigs or GPUs. I've checked on Ebay and lots of options are there to get cheap -or at least it seems to be, mining rigs or nvidia GPUs and  even antminers for altcoints.

I know that mining Bitcoin nowadays is not very profitable in the short run due to costs involved to get proper mining equipment. Getting  second hand hardwares might be an option.

I've also listed some almost-new chinese GPUs.
Please post your reasons why it is or it is not a good option.
