Have you ever worked past a beggar who looked hungry and in dear need of help and although you have the urge to help the person, you refuse to do so because you've been told about the number of ritualists and diabolical people who will come in such guise just to tie down the destinies of those that have helped them?
The involvement of fetish practices have harmed the normal compassion we have on the less privileged, most times they're used as tools to carry out these ill practices and they can't say no because that's an opportunity of filling up their bellies.
But that shouldn't stop you from helping out especially little children, just don't give them your money, you can purchase food items or other things for them and pay the vendor yourself, that way, you had no personal contact with them, you just transacted with the vendor and still did the charity you intended.
This is not just peculiar to beggars, their are so many people that have lost access to getting help from people just because of rumors and what has happened to people in the past.
When bad things are the order of the day, good people suffers too. I personally don't like beggars, especially those that are grown up and aren't deformed, even deformed people now do business and gets good patronage because people love to encourage them. When healthy people begs, I'm not moved at all cos its a sign of laziness and there's no food for the lazy man.
If you even chat up a random person and introduce a business idea to him/her, the first thing that comes to their mind is that you are into internet fraud and that you're trying to extort money from them, even when in the real sense, it might not necessarily be so.
People still help others, but first you'll present yourself in a way that you don't look like scam. You got a brand, register it with the government. Be sure to have some level of success or work history before asking for support. Your work history and your authentic and verifiable data will convince the investor that you're not scam. Provide as much information as possible about your business and in what areas you need help or investment. Offer to hire the services of legal firms if the investor feels more comfortable that way. Whatever you're doing and doing well, it will be easier to convince someone to invest in it to increase revenue than just convincing the investor on a business you're about starting. Most investors see new businesses as a mere gamble. Some investors will still invest in new businesses if the idea is very sound and practicable.
