I agree that it's a great solution for exhausting air out of a warehouse but think about the security problems. It's not that safe to have the door secured only with those chains, so better try something else. Maybe it would be better to ask a professional in this sphere although I'm not sure they can help you with that. Whenever I have issues with my garage doors, I reach out to Garage door services in Calgary because this is where I live, and they always solved my problems. There are many robbers nowadays, so make sure to secure everything properly.

Any ideas at all?

This is such a perfect solution for exhausting air out of a warehouse, I just have no clue how you could possibly secure those fans to the door, and all of that to the ground to make it safe.

Looking for suggestions on securing drum fans to a roll up garage door. The fans will be ventilating bitcoin miners within the room. Naturally that makes me worried about security, as the garage doors would always be "open" with the fans underneath them. I'm not looking for a solution that would allow me to pass under the door as I will have a second door to enter/exit from, so it doesn't have to be able to easily be taken apart. What first came to mind was some sort of heavy metal chains that I would simply weave through parts of the fans, securing the chains to the door, and the ground. I'm sure there are better solutions than that, but I haven't been able to come up with any.

I'm going for this type of solution, but it must be more secure than simply setting some fans under the door, rolling the door down to the top of the fans, and hoping it doesn't get broken into. All suggestions are welcome!
