It is pretty normal if your Ledger generates a new wallet address every time when the address received a transfer. But this is not normal and I do not understand how your hardware wallet could be infected. Because it should only store your private key and verify the transaction, so how hackers caused that Ledger is compromised and works differently?

That seems like a weird issue .If you update your nano to the latest firmware it will display the address to which you are sending in the device. Authorise your transaction only if the address matches .

Cool, that you have realized this issue! Because so many people believe technology and do not care about other aspects such as malware in the hardware wallet.

Where did you buy your Ledger? Did you try to completely reinstall the hardware wallet - factory reset?

Hi, I've been trying to send XRP from my Ledger Nano X to an exchange to sell it.  Every time I do so, I enter the address and memo from the exchange, and it shows up correctly on my desktop, but I'm getting an unidentified address that doesn't match on my Nano X.  Needless to say, I've declined the transaction after several attempts.  I even uninstalled and reinstalled the XRP app, and it didn't correct the problem.

I did a test on another crypto currency, and everything matched there.

Any idea of what could have happened and how I can correct it?   It's worked great until now, but this is not making me feel very good.

Thanks in advance for any insight!

I have no idea how a ledger wallet works (never used one) but, a while back I heard about a malware that was able to change the copied address. To be sure install Malwarebytes on PC and check if that's the issue.

Most of the time the transaction on the blockchain go congestion problem due to high transaction volume and thus the transactions either go delay or declined. So, try your sending of the XRP coin sometime later or refresh your Nano X wallet.

Check if your firmware is updated. Could be the problem why you're getting that issue. Ledger used to update from time to time through their Ledger live.
If it's all updated, then address the suggestion of semobo that it could be your PC got a copy-paste address malware not the Ledger Nano X. But if you are unsure of our suggestions, it's best to get to their main subreddit.

Its not an issue with the wallet, seems your device is infected with some kind of malware.Did you tried to login to the wallet on any other device if it works then the system is the problem here,

Try to check first the wallet you are copying, just make sure you are not adding another character when put the wallets. Could be space, special character and other things that's was also effected to for the trasaction.
