Sorry for the late response but  I am Joe Morgan not Aaron Wendel. I know Aaron and in fact started hosting with Wholesale Internet in 2007. I'm not sure we really look that much alike. Maybe someone has too much time on their hands Wink.

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending
In response to most of the comments above, you do realize that at least one of the two pictured above is a Bitcoiner, don't you? Therefore, able to pay the meters with bitcoins if such a system were in place. But even having a thumb drive full of bitcoins in pocket, doesn't mean the meters would be fed. Same true for fiat. If you watched the video, you would have seen a screenshot of addresses where his (wife's) car was parked when Officer Friendly dole out the winner tickets.

Bitcoins could solve this problem so easily, cause I know sometimes I am just too far to put money in a meter, and with bitcoins you get an address as soon as you pull up, then you can just keep depositing into that address to keep the meter filled. I wonder if anyone has explored that?

It depends on the purpose of the meter. If the meter is there to collect money for the city, then that should work fine. If the meter is there to encourage people to move their car within a time limit, then that defeats the purpose.
