Hi guys,

yesterday i erased my history in safari so i couldn't connect automatically to https://waveswallet.io.

The thing is i also lost my seed like a fucking moron.

As i was able to connect without it before erasing the history i think i might be able to access it if i could get back the data cache files ?

If someone has a solution and think that might work...

I'll give 0.1 btc if someone is able to help me recover my wallet.

ps : i don't have time machines saves or any cloud save.
I downloaded minitool data recovery to get the data cache back.

Thanks guys.

I have these kind of problems in Firefox and able to recover some of the history I want.

Different procedure obviously applied because you are using Safari in this case. Maybe try this if you using Windows:

-Go to drive C:
-Do search (I think fast results will do if directly at %appdata% folder)
-Search for WebpageIcons and note of it's file location (if Webpageicons doesn't work, try it letters by letters until you saw a related term) (also it should be obviously on Safari folder)
-Open SQLite browser (you need this) and click Open Database, choose now the WebpageIcons.db file.
-Click the Browse data tab in the SQLite window.
-Select PageURL from Table menu. A list of visited URLs should appear in the window.

I lost my waveswallet.io seed too and I was using google chrome. How would the procedure differ in my case? I am not able to find the Webpageicons.db file. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

You're in luck, because as far as I know if you're using Safari as your browser, you can still recover your history and even recover your cache files. The only thing you need to do is go to "Start" (if you're using Windows) and search "WebpageIcons" and look for the pathway there with "Safari" in it. Now next, download SQLite 3.10.0 DB Browser or SQLite Studio and then open their database and look for "WebpageIcons.db" file. Finally, open the browse data in your SQLite and then select "PageURL."

Now since you are using https://waveswallet.io to store your coins in a web wallet, just click Control + F and copy that address and then paste it into the search box and click enter. It will automatically give you a direct search of that website. If you can use this procedure to log in to your account, then just create a backup copy of your SEED and write it down or save it on a notepad and have another copy of it and save it also on a USB drive. This will ensure the safety of your wallet if ever you accidentally delete your browsing history again.

This look like an impossible mission but as difficult as it may appear, i think there is a way around it if you can remember your wallet address, the registered email and password but nobody can help you if you d not remember any information about the account.

Your biggest problem with regards to data recovery is that I assume it was on your main harddisk... which you are currently still using. Any new data you write to disk may overwrite the deleted files and make recovery impossible.

If possible you should stop using that drive immediately... and connect it up via an adapter to another machine. But I suspect that, given that you're talking about Safari and Time Machine, you're running Mac OSX. Which probably means the drive isn't easily accessible and/or removable.

As for the recovery itself, sadly, there isn't a version of "Recuva" for Mac... but apparently PhotoRec is supposed to be OK. Check it out here: http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/PhotoRec

Best of luck.

I think its impossible to recover the cookies and cache of your browser except if you login in chrome you can be automatically save almost all your bookmarks and cookies and cache to sync automatically to your new browser but if are not logging in your email it is impossible to recover your account there if you forgot your seeds.. only seeds is one of the key to recover your wallet anytime anywhere..

Thanks for your reply.

i'm gonna try though.

I have 17k wagerr on this wallet + a few waves.

Maybe in the future with the quantic computers lol
Its nearly impossible to recover once those cookies are gone since you cant really access it without those seeds. Have you tried out already the steps been said above ^ Its worth to give a try even youre on safari, you might able to see those folders listed on the system and might resolved your problem.
You do have lots of coin there and such a waste for them to lose up.
