Thanks, bud. I may or may not be using Bitcoin, depending how many disposable coins I have at the time of registering. I rather not tap into my investment fund. I guess I could purchase more, though, to further the velocity of Bitcoin.

I've stated that I'm not price shopping, but do keep seeing the same ballpark price point of about $11.95. Is this the norm?

For this project, the only TLD I'll be purchasing will be .com, .net and .org--nine in total. The first part of the domain name will be ur, your and my, with ur......com being the one I will paid for 10 years. The other 8 are as follows:

  • ur......net
  • ur......org
  • my......com
  • my......net
  • my......org
  • your......com
  • your......net
  • your......org

The word missing consists of five letters (obv), with the added dot self-explanatory. At first glance, the name I chose will look foreign ('cause it is), but does have branding/marketable attributes, which will become apparent once more is revealed. Currently, Google has indexed only a handful of my main name choice, ur......, but all results are mundane in nature. The reason for opting for the ur beginning oppose to using your, is that with ur, the overall word looks and feels like a real word, whereas your..... would come across as contrived, as it should be. What's even more fascinating is that the five letter word incorporates not once, but twice, the letter i. Therefore, the user of ur......com subliminally says, "Look at me! Look at me!" because of the power of the two i's. (or it works something like that)

It will not matter if a user of the site is a Bitcoiner or not, but will bring awareness to many of those who are not in a unique way without trying to cram it down their throats, so to speak. One of those ways I've already touched upon, namely to offer the products/services at a 50% discount when Bitcoin is opted as the payment option. There will even be a option for users to enjoy the benefits of the site for free, rewarding them a micro payment via Bitcoin just for joining.

Damn, I just had another epiphany on how to make the free accounts more profitable, but will share that at a later date.

Hi,
My brother runs a domain registration and web hosting business based in China (http://www.nihao.net). They have being in business since 1998 and offers .com, .net, as well as other TLDs.

If you're interested PM me - it really depends on what TLDs you want and the price.

What TLD's do you need? I can offer 36 different ones.

When Coindomain.net closed down, i got a reseller account I may offer it as a courtesy service to other bitcointalk member, because i don't expect to make money on it.

I know i'm not going anywhere and money losing small projects are my specialty.   Grin

Do you want an actual domain registrar or someone to register the domains by proxy for you?

A domain registrar like Godaddy. I'm not too concerned about the proxy aspect.

I take it from the lack of responses that all the domain registrars on this forum have me on their ignore list.

I'm aware that Zhou Tong is a domain registrar, and in the spirit of good faith I'm leaning toward to using his services to register a couple of the domain names.

Once again, I'm seeking names of domain registrars who are fellow Bitcoiners.

I'll be seeking a hosting company next.

I've always used Godaddy in the past, but for this order I choose to use a registrar by a fellow Bitcoiner. I may even break up the purchases in 3-4 parts. I'm not price shopping, but I do desire to explore my options by seeing a myriad of domain name registrars in one thread.

I will be purchasing a total of 9 domain names, one of which I will register for the max of 10 years (correct me if there is a longer time frame). The other 8 for only 1 year, but will extend all 8 to equal the max set for the main domain name next year if all goes well. I'm not planning on using a proxy for the main domain name, but may opt for that option if it's free for the other 8.

The project I have in mind can be viewed here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/business-venture-that-accepts-bitcoin-desire-input-118178

Thank you in advance,
