Maybe I haven’t worked with server hardware for a long time, but I have seen an extended warranty of up to 5 years for server hard drives. Maybe such indicators are for hard drives with a large amount of memory, because the data in this article seemed too sad to me.
If you belive in this coin now you can buy bunch of it for 100tb hdd price that you will never mine with 100tb.why bother mining it when it is much cheaper to buy the coin itself

You said it right,there are no green coins and in fact the CHIA damaged hard drives are more of a pollution to earth than it is GPU mining which have a much lower fail rate compared to hard drives used for mining.This is a total failure from the green standpoint of CHIA,claiming something to be not true and demonstrated by data of an impressive number of failed hard drives in mining.
I don't think that the energy used in Bitcoin mining and other coins,is energy intensive as most claim,in fact it is less than 1% of all the energy consumption in the world but the corrupted people are doing all they can to bash on Bitcoin mining in specific and mining in general.

Never get involved in chia mining. It's a waste of time and money to waste. If you are considering mining instead, do GPU mining directly. You can get your income in less time and you will not be disappointed. Do not engage in chia mining.
Chia mining will test your patience 
the troubleshooting alone is worst than that of crypto mining, spend those money on two-three graphic cards and start mining Ethereum, GPU mining is more straightforward, and the ETH 2.0 is probably not coming this year.

I have 450 TB of plots sitting in my mining shed I stopped mining because I got tired of dealing with all the drives and rebooting the rig and trying to figure out which drive isn't showing or has to be remapped.

Is it something that can work on a raspberry? How efficiency is it compare to running GPU rig?
I think that at a price of 60 dollars it is probably more profitable to buy this coin. You need powerful plotting equipment, you need to spend a lot of time preparing for mining. Better mine on video cards, it's faster and easier.
A few months ago you can solo mine Chia coin and solve multiple blocks with 100TB, that was the best time to mine Chia coin but now the difficulty is higher, also Chia coin has good value per price at the time which could be another factor to do it any way but today thats not the case, if Chia price is still 3000$ it will be a good mining investment even today.
If you have not bought the hard drives yet, then don't bother, It's not worth it. This would have been OK several months ago.

Don't bother unless you have access to a big amount of spare HDD laying around in your home, I won't mine chia with anything less than 100TB because its not that profitable, don't go out and buy HDD for chia mining the time for its gold rush is over.

Ok 1000 TB give you around 18 dollar a day - so you must let run 100x HDD´s with 10TB per HDD - we take a low power consumption 20w per HDD = so a Chia miner with 1000TB consumes 2kw/h or 48KW per day. So not really worth.
But you can dual / triple / quadril mine Chia with many Chia forks at the moment or with MASS on hpool. But i would say it is not worth to buy HDD´s for mining at the Moment.
In the passt i made over 4 ETH with my 20TB in less than a month - i miss the good old times

You simply have to do a couple of google searches, and watch a few YT videos.
It will only take you a couple of hours to find out all you need to know.
