Could anyone point me in the right direction or share some insights on where to find promising projects or assets worth considering for a market buy?

Seeking hidden gem will just make you frustrated because they will not be hidden gem if they are easy to discover. It’s like finding a dust of gold in a sand.

Much better to just ride the wave on the proven successful investment such as Bitcoin investment rather than those “hidden gem” which you didn’t know if really gem. But if you really want to venture out on alts then focus on L1 and L2 projects because those project typically have a lot of interest and demand that will guarantee your profit. Avoid meme coins and other DeFi shit.

Much better if you will focus on Bitcoin and its ecosystem because it’s the most popular whenever Bitcoin is making a move. Try Stacks(STX).
Sometimes I wonder if people actually sit down to really think about the questions they ask, with tens of thousands of coins already created and with many more to come during the next bull market, finding a hidden gem as the OP wants is probably the most difficult thing you can ask to an investor, because I am sure there are forum members which have been part of this forum for many years and they have yet to find a single one of those hidden gems.

I think to get an experience like that you have to know someone closely, and make sure you are familiar with them.
If not, you are forced to find out for yourself and put yourself into the market to gain that experience.
otherwise you will just depend on other people's advice continuously.

In trading, nothing is normative.  Everything runs dynamically according to market movements.  If you are looking for a reliable investor who can guide you, I can say that there is no one can be.

There is no surefire in trading, and no one can guarantee.  We must learn to act by being sensitive to what is happening in the market until we truly become experts and have our own character.  To start trading, you must be prepared to lose everything until you find your own trading style.  To learn, you can start here by surfing the trading section.  You also have to find for other references such as books or YouTube channels that provide and explain methods for reading price movements in the market.

If you want to invest, maybe owning bitcoin and etherium is the best choice. If you want to get a new coin project, you must analyst them before you get them with reading or asking on this forum.

I think it's not easy to find hidden gems in crypto, because everything has its own risks, but if you study a project carefully, chances are you'll find a valuable memecoin is wide open, but what you need to know is the luck factor too.  really determines your success.
It's no luck but also involves luck to capture golden opportunities to earn massively from the system. Gems are among those projects that made me touch my first million in the market, I know it's not an easy run but it's necessary we grab golden steps and firm in our standings. We look out for potential projects in the system, the ones that will be able to drag golden opportunities for our success in the market. Crypto gems are rare in the market, these projects doesn't come easy as predicted because it's weigh difficult to spot them.

Hello OP, welcome!

For beginners I think bitcoin might be your best bet it is after all the top one among all cryptocurrencies
I agree on this one. OP, you don't need to find those hidden gems because it's either you're going to miss them or won't really them if you just ask and won't do your research. We don't have crystal balls and those that have found it are likely lucky and was just able to buy them randomly or intentionally in a way that they've done their research. As you start, it's best to buy Bitcoin while learning.

These three areas are where you would find hidden gems Defi, AI, and Memecoins if you are seeking good ROI. You would need to do your research before you invest in any crypto from those niches. No one here would recommend you a new cryptocurrency as it would look like a promotion. Go through different blockchains and find out what are the upcoming projects on those blockchains. As of now, Solana has some good projects coming up you can find details if you check their social media handles.

these are good suggestions but since he is new, i think sticking to BTC or simply just going to the top L1 projects will be best for him since its always the L1 projects that will make a good run during bullrun.

ETH, SOL or BNB will be the next thing should he have if not BTC. the prices of these tokens will always go up in the bull run, the information about these tokens is easy to understand too for someone who are new in the industry.

I absolutely agree with this, you need to invest in ETH or bitcoin. I invested a lot in other coins and nothing good came of it.

If I would search for hidden gems, I would differentiate two possible strategies:

1) Short-term. This is basically a gamble. Research thoroughly, try to identify short-term trends (BRC-20 may have been one in mid-2023, but now I think the bubble is close to pop). I've heard a current short time trend may be Layer 2 coins for Bitcoin, but again, research them, because there are lots of dubious projects (one starting with the name of Bitcoin's founder, for example). Of course: If someone in this forum recommends you a specific coin, stay away because it's very likely that they're a bagholder Wink

2) Long-term. You can try the "revive dead coins" strategy. There are about 20000 altcoins. If you look at the lower part (position 1000 on Coingecko/CMC downwards), some look like they're almost dead and you can buy high quantities for a low price. If you are able to inject new life in the community the returns may be huge. I would only choose coins with a fair launch and good distribution, because this means there may be some loyal people around in the surviving parts of the coin's community who will help you defend the coin. If the distribution was centralized/uneven and the founders left the ship, all old community members are likely to be angry and feel scammed, and lots of coins by bagholders (and remaining project founders) may be dumped fastly.

BRC20 tokens
Only a personal opinion, but BRC-20 is the most useless, most anachronistic (you need TWO transactions to move the tokens!) and most despicable technology I ever have seen* on the Bitcoin chain. It is even likely that they're used by some entities as a deliberate attack on Bitcoin's usability (because they lead to spam on the blockchain).
I would strongly recommend against BRC-20. See here for reasons.
They may see another bull run, but they have already seen a lot of price appreciation based on absolutely nothing in late 2023. They're far from being "hidden" gems.

(* - with the exception of those who have stored links to violence against children and other crap on the blockchain, but that can be hardly called a "technology").

This forum is not the best place to find a good project to invest in. You need to do some research on some influencers who share valuable insights about crypto projects. Blindly following influencers is a very bad way to lose all of your money especially if an influencer directly tells you to invest in any project without explaining and sharing valuable insight about the project You should not follow his call. Learn from the data they have shared and decide you should buy that token or not.

The forum can only help you with advice that will guide you in your research but can't assure you of any project to invest in. Just like he said some influencer are paid to promote scam projects. This is why making your own research after being advice by anyone is the best way to invest in this space.

But this forum can also be used as a place to look for references, such as some altcoin projects that have been mentioned here as a matter of conversation before, so yes apart from influencers or mainstream information media some discussions on the forum might be a little helpful in knowing which projects you can OP research more deeply.

And OP, you need to analyze several projects related to the narratives that will run, of course for 2024, it will be able to help you find which projects will have a significant increase in price, of course in diving into altcoin projects you also need to pay attention to who the founder is, the vision and mission of the project, its holders, investors, tokenomics, and others that you can use to see a project can be worthy of where you invest and will certainly give you profit if you buy it for the long term.

[1] You most only invest what you can afford to loss.
[2] You most find project with good volumes or trending coins that has utility and good market cap.
[3] You have to (DYOR) Do your own research on each project that got your attention, this research includes checking there infography, read the white papers etc to be more acquainted with the basic knowledge of the project.
[4] If you have chosen any project do not remove your from it because this are new Altcoins or shitcoins that may or may not grow more than expected since there are not Bitcoin or Ethereum that has great potentials you most not leave them as long term invest as BTC.

This not all anyone can add his or her own tips
I may add.
Seek for coins which already out before last bear market, then look for coins which have good working product already in use. So you already know fundamentally it is good coin.
Then find between them which one with biggest price crash, biggest distance between current price and last bullrun ATH.
This tips is safer than chasing new alt and may give you bigger returns than just only holding top 10.
I already have my hidden gem here which may get at least 100x if they return to their last ATH.

Could anyone point me in the right direction or share some insights on where to find promising projects or assets worth considering for a market buy?
Your rank is newbie with just a single post here but I don't know if you're a true novice in this industry or not. The reason I asked is because there are investment suggestions that can better suit a noob investor than an experienced or intermediate one. If you're new to this industry and know next to nothing, I will suggest you stick to Bitcoin investment. On the other hand, if you've been investing before now I suggest you look into BRC20 tokens. There's speculation that they will be a thing this bull run, owing to what price level we expect of Bitcoin. There's strong expectation that money will flow into them. Already, certain exchanges are experimenting with them. To get these tokens, check Coingecko. Check for ones with small supply that have low marketcap. You never can tell, you may get lucky. However, remember, this isn't a financial advice. Do Your Own Research (DYOR).

Hey everyone, Smiley

I'm new here and eager to learn from experienced traders and investors. I've been keeping an eye on the market and noticed some potential buying opportunities emerging.

Could anyone point me in the right direction or share some insights on where to find promising projects or assets worth considering for a market buy?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Being a newbie you should concentrate more on seeking stable gems than hidden gems. Going after new coins is risky as they would either be scams or they would not last long. If you want to get into a potential long-term crypto then start searching for startups that are working on the development of a blockchain. Something like a layer 2 solution provider or find a startup that is creating a solution to fix multiple issues of different blockchains. I do not think there is something in place or is upcoming as a lot of solutions is already in existence.

It is better to invest in a cryptocurrency that is not that old, which is trying to solve an issue, and which has a good community as well as a team. If you invest in it with a vision of long-term gain then you would make a fortune than invention in for short-term gain. It is your money so decide accordingly with proper research and understanding.

You should first initiate to learn well about trading and investment because those who cannot learn well are unable to earn well therefore try to first search about trading strategies and techniques. One important thing is that as you are Newby you should not engage in new and unknown coins because it can be risky for you.

All creators of coins wants to make their coins successful whether they are scam or not but they wants that everyone accept it therefore they share good knowledge about their coins but you should not trap in these things and try to first start with bitcoin as there is little risk and you will be patience during bitcoin investment as well as you will learn more until you hold bitcoin.

Well theres a lot of reference to choose from on different sites or socials like icodrops or if you follow some influencers who are able to discover gems early without even the trading started yet. For me Ive just follow some good OGs whose not posting for profits on their followers but indeed sharing some of their early finds at the same time as you so technically giving you a good project to buy before it hits up on the market.

For you to see hidden gems, you will have to do your research because no one would tell you where you can find them since things can always be mixed up with coin projects that would never stay longer in the market. We need to research very carefully since there are thousands of coins in the market and find the gems might be time consuming.
Continuous participation in airdrop and cryptocurrency mining apps could also help us to get close to good project that could be of a great gem to us.

ther is no 100% guarantee about a project to become a Gem before launch. people tag any project as Gem they want because they like them or they see something special. but be aware that there will always be risks of loosing if by chance that project don't turn well.

Now sepaking of finding New Gems:
there are lots of places you can keep an eye to find Gems. I think Binance Launchpad and Launchpool are the best. because any projects launch through binance is almost certain that gives good return. other than that any good exchange's IEO platform, and Luanchpads are good places to follow.

You are nowhere near ready to do what you want, you are still on the process of learning more about the markets, identifying good projects and even learning more about yourself, this is not the time to look for hidden gems, this is the time to learn the basics and see if you can apply them consistently over a long period of time, and if that is the case then you can begin to take greater risks, but if you decide to ignore this process and you try to find those coins anyway then chances are you will lose everything.

Hi welcome!

Recently the market has developed some good opportunities that one most have grabbed in order to make profit when the bull run starts and that is a good observation that you've got there mate.

It's hard to give a particular coin or token that has good potentials that's worth investing in if you're thinking of buy small tokens but you could choose from the top 10 coins that are trading in the market and follow some investment rules to find the best you can for yourself.
I will only list some rules that you most apply to be a good investor although I'm not an investor but i got little experiences.

[1] You most only invest what you can afford to loss.
[2] You most find project with good volumes or trending coins that has utility and good market cap.

For beginners I think bitcoin might be your best bet it is after all the top one among all cryptocurrencies

It was the first one created and is now considered the standard of all cryptocurrencies that followed there are numerous altcoins out there so if you are trying to look for altcoins to buy it is important for you to do your own research it is really not advisable for beginners to follow blindly because you, yourself, know your own limits

When investing, it is best if you would only invest what you can afford to lose especially we are dealing with very volatile markets here

Learn your goals first and from then you can start searching for altcoins that could cater specifically to your needs
