The increase in the price of Bitcoin in 2020 is the highest increase in price after 2017, although currently bitcoin has not been able to pass the $20,000 price, at least many traders or bitcoin holders have benefited quite a bit this year. If indeed the positive trend continues to occur in bitcoin in 2021, it will certainly re-trigger bitcoin price movements in the market and it is possible that the bitcoin price will be able to reach the $20,000 price range or even the price can exceed the highest bitcoin price record ever.

By the way, it would be very important to significantly surpass the previous ATH in this cycle. Otherwise, it will turn out that this will be the first cycle in which ATH has not been surpassed and the "hold to the last, no matter what happens to the price" model will be questionable.

yes this year it looks like it will be difficult for Bitcoin, because the price of Bitcoin is still not able to go up by $ 20k,
of course this makes traders very willing to enter Bitcoin

This year has been very complicated with crisis here and there especially the covid 19 pandemic; The price of bitcoin to me will continue to fluctuate and also experience price correctional stages several time; it is up to traders to decide to buy for the longest term and be at peace; or invest on the short terms. Either ways, do your research and understand why you invest in bitcoin.
Bitcoin is not just a pump and dump that if you will invest it is not a quick investment scheme. Price correction is just normal to see it may declined for a small percent in the market. So very true a person should understand the situation first prior judging the market and investing.

Looking at the current price in the market it is a higher price for the longest time. So I don’t think it is bad after all that it went up after year 2017. Possible you did not observe the market trend from the very beginning. Although it did yet not reach $20k and I can't say bull run is over for this year. If just looking for the bull run and the target goal you aim it will take time. Just invest on what you can afford since the market is volatile and unpredictable movement.

Yeah but nothing to worry though, just a retracement as far as I know. We have been attempting to break the $20k price, however, there is too much resistance that the price can't really hold along the $19,500 and obviously a new break out has formed into the downsize. But then again, we have seen this multiple times already, so let's just wait, no need to rush things.
Anything can still happen, we have a 10% pump last month, there's still a possibility that it can happen before the end of the year, and the majority of us here are glued to the market chart, I doubt that the bull run is over we are in fact just starting out, with so many good news coming in its not yet over.
It needs to come down a bit more. I guess a huge number wish it drops much more, waiting to buy at low. We're about to passing very tough week for the Bitcoin and other major altcoins. Bullrun yet to happen and this is simple correction before a sharp rise.

I would say that best way to see if bull run is over or not would be to see what happens next. We have moved 5% higher just this week, and that is not really that bad at all, we can't say it is over when it is going up this way, the price is still above $19k and reaching closer to ATH every single day inch by inch.

However what we can see right now is that we are not as volatile as we have been this past few months, which is totally true and could be understandable in the approach that we may not be in a bull run right now even though we are in a decent position to say we are doing fine nonetheless. What happens in December will dictate if we are still in bull run or not, and if we continue to go up and reach beyond $20k for the first time, that means we are in bull run.

I really do not understand people who get excited about bitcoin prices so much and gets panic this quickly as well. Didn't you realize the price was super high when you were investing?

I mean it is obvious that you are not going to see this type of increase all over again this quickly. What was the assumption? That bitcoin made 2x return from $10k to $20k and that means it will also go from $20k to $40k and make another 2x profit as well?

You should have known that was nearly impossible. I am not saying price will plummet, I am not even saying it will go down more, I am just saying even if it goes up, it won't go up that much and you should be ready for falls as well. Hence, I do not understand people who get involved this quickly with that kind of money and fear every single move.

I invested my daughter's savings 3 days ago yet the market is tumbling.
So, I lost some of her money due the current market conditions.

It's December, after all!
Are the bulls gone now or what?
You are posting this out of frustration right??
You thought that the rise of Bitcoin will continue right??

You're one of the many investors who bought Bitcoin at the top and now that Bitcoin is going down little by little, you are posting this because you are frustrated that your daughter's saving is getting affected. Bulls aren't gone. Its just that the market needs a correction. The traders must take some profit at some prices. We need this correction for the market to be shaken. Just wait for some time before it go up again.
Yes, it looks like we have another correction in prices despite the fact that there was already a short correction at the end of November.  Bitcoin dropped to $ 18,240 and ethereum to $ 550.  I expected good growth in December, but this is not happening yet.  We can only hope that this time the correction will be short-lived.  In general, there is still time for price growth.

Be patient, and we still have much time to see the bitcoin price increase this month or next month. We are still in December, so there are many chances for the bitcoin prices to go to the high price. But if nothing happens to the bitcoin price and stays at the current price, I think it will be no problem for us because bitcoin still has another time to increase. But it is a good time to buy back more bitcoin at a price now because who knows, after this moment, bitcoin price will start the rally and break $19k and even $20k this month. If that so, that will be a good profit for us because we can back to profit from the price increase.

Bitcoin is still stuck at $ 18500 strong support, and trying to get back up to $ 20k,
is it over? for me it's still early days, it's better this way, because the sudden increase will be a disaster, like 2017

The low at this point is around 18300 on bitstamp, even if we measure only candles and ignore wicks.

We can go lower and we will. Maybe not today but I'm petty sure we're going to reach real low support of 13000 somewhere in the coming weeks and it's still going to be bullish. As long as we're not setting up new lows every week the bull market is on the right track to a new high. People made so much money that it would be foolish of them not to bet on a correction.

The important note at this time is the convergence of moving averages which shows a slowing of momentum over upto the last week.   We challenged both today but remain up with the area of both, I'm sometimes told the direction and nature to movement can be more important then just price alone so for example the direction of 200 day and all the lesser measure is still rising which is extremely positive so to judge negatively now is still the exception.   Weekly is still rising but if we can see the 2 day average drop below weekly it would be some signal to the bears to try some selling.    Dollar hasnt moved anywhere especially, I dont believe any larger picture news is really forcing us to correct downwards hence the bias is still upwards just with some caution for this latest hesitancy, the OP calling the bullrun over is still far too early.

I wouldn't mind a nice retrace back to 16k or so by January 1st. After that it can go full bullmode and blast those targets. Saves me some in taxes Wink

Blowing the current price below 17K USD next year will surely create havoc on BTC community. It just mean that Bulls are weakening and might be a dejavu on the last bull run. I'm hoping that BTC will above 20k USD next to start a fresh uptrend. Holding the 20K USD mark will mak traders confidence to acquire more and it's a confirmation price that a new uptrend form.

It may happen as people tend to sell at the end of the year, a retraction below $17k won't be havoc, just a normal thing in the market. Bitcoin movement seems going sideways in the last week, fluctuating within $18k-$19k but can't break the resistance, if it last for 2-3 weeks people may consider to sell rather than hold.

If the price range like this last for 3 weeks, I believe It theres a huge chance for Bitcoin to break the $20,000 barrier.
As you can see, there was a strong support at $18,000 and Btc tends to bounce back a few hours right after It touches the support level.
People are still eager to see the $20,000 figure.

Cant say if you're late or still able to make it through because the price had tanked at this moment but there arent signs that it would be going up either.Thing here is that you do able to invest
your daughters savings which i would say that it is a risky move to be done unless if you do know the risk of losing here on crypto market then its up to you but basing up on your own words on
losing some of it due to market conditions then i precisely say that you are just new here.New people will really be having this kind of common action when they
do saw that is currently hyping and making themselves making out dumb decisions on investing their savings or all assets on the current run.

Dont let yourself dragged with FOMO because you wouldnt know if you had already bought when the price is already into its peak and when the market tends to shift
then its either you would make out some panic selling action or will really be holding like how many years just like to those people who bought 20k peak in 2017
and now they do only able to sell it off after 3 years.

For now, we cant tell if the bull run is over.Thing here is that you do know to follow up into your plans.

This is not new as there will always be correction periods and fluctuations when it comes to crypto/Bitcoin market. We cannot term this as end of bull run or start of bearish market. We have seen numerous such fluctuations wherein it hardly takes few days of week for bitcoin to recover the value, I would request you to remain calm and don't be a panic seller and keep yourself updated with all the price alerts to make sure atleast you don't lose further money from your daughter's savings. Bitcoin will pump up and achieve $20k by the end of this month.

There is no how to define or determine that the bullrun is over this year; bitcoin price movement is still firm and in an correctional state; it is normal for bitcoin and crypto currency to experience a bull run; then a price correction which follows almost immediately. Before investing during a bull run; ensure that you will have an opportunity to take profits. Always do your own research.

Ensure that you are prepared to whatever things that will happened. Many newbies forget about doing their research before taking their step inside

this market, crypto / bitcoin is really volatile and have a lot of fluctuations. If you are not aware you'll lose in a blink of an eye but if you have knowledge

about it then the chance to earn is also good and very possible.

I must note that we arrived at the current levels rather slowly - nothing like a hype or a bubble, it looks like a simple organic growth. If the hype does arise, then bitcoin can make a huge jump from the current levels (I'm sure there will be a deep correction later, but it will be later).

Organic growth is the best thing to happening bitcoin rather than a sudden rise of couple of thousand $ instantly and then falling more badly and quickly. So this growth could mean that it could be long lasting and we just might see the beginning of 2021 with above 20k as currently it is still trading around 19k .

Exactly. That is why I am not a bull run and hype enthusiast - they usually end badly and there are a lot of disappointed people who then hardly perceive the crypto as a good tool to use. I would be glad even if the price stood still, but the area where you can use the crypto was increasing.

Never say that it was over. In fact, we still remain high at $19,000 plus, the momentum still there and even we saw a few dumps in the past days moving back below $18,000 but it climbs back again. $20,000 has near to reach, probably it takes a few days or even weeks to finally get it. We still have a few days before we end this year, the thrill isn't over yet, and thus can't till when Bullrun is over.

Does your daughter knows that you use her money? Well don't expect you will gain profit after 3 days you should wait a couple of weeks maybe or months or longer for long term investment so far the price of the Bitcoin is at its peak (or not) we should wait until 2021 to see what will happen.

You never can tell when the bulllrun will be over; because in this month alone; there has been price correction and bitcoin even went back to 19,000 before another correction; a mistake i think you made is that you refused to draw out a plan, research, monitor price charts and analyze bitcoin price movement. Instead of buying the dip, you bought the hike. Also more importantly; you should use funds that you can part with (with no pain) for bitcoin and crypto currency investment.

I understand that people do not like it when others tell them that they are wrong. After all we would like to believe that we are all right, however at the end of the day we are all humans and humans do make mistakes.

I believe this topic is all wrong, we are not going to suddenly stop the bull run. If we are going to ever see a stop of the situation, it should be taken a lot more significantly and we would see it, however there is nothing significant about our falls of recent, and we have recovered from them pretty easily as well. Which goes to show you that we are not going to stop with the bull run, we are going to have a lot bigger increases very soon.

All I can think of right now, is maybe we are going to give a little break that is all to take a breather and that is only natural after increasing this much.

The price moved really fast to that high, I was not expecting it to be that high within a short time like this. I thought it would have taken more time to be going slowly until it achieves that high price and eventually reach a new ATH price, because judging with how it has been moving earlier this year, it was giving like about one month gap before crossing to a new price, but this time around it just moved with speed and he next thing we have it $20,000 and almost approaching the ATH. Maybe it’s all these Grayscale, PayPal and the rest of them that triggered the fast move hence in my view, bull-run is not yet over; expect more exciting days ahead.

You are too hasty in expecting to a making profits after investing in cryptos in few days having forgot that investment in Bitcoin is a long term project while the overall market conditions now is very bullish you ought to have waited for a minor pullback before buying not just buying at peak, beside its not advisable to use your daughter's fund for investment bearing in mind that you will have to wait for months or years to make decent profit of your investment.

As long as he is not in a rush to sell the bitcoin he holds, he can recover the losses. It is just beginning, and even if the price now is down, it doesn't mean that the price will be staying at the current price because the price will have another time to start another rally. He needs to be patient and not trying to cut loss if his losses are too big, and it is better to hold the bitcoin. He can say to his daughter that we need more time to profit because the situation now is not right to make a profit. I think if he can explain better, his daughter will understand and will follow his suggestion. But that will be different if his daughter needs money because that can make him sell the bitcoin at the current price.

First of all, why would you invest the money saved by your daughter for 3 years? It's kinda dangerous I'd say, remember that you should only invest the money you can afford to lose. Anyway getting back, I don't think that the run is over but rather I think we are only just in the beginning, yeah we can say that Bitcoin is just hovering around the $19k USD mark and making only subtle changes but it doesn't necessarily mean that it is over. Besides people keeps accumulating. So what if it is December, yeah folks may be liquidating their holding for this month but I doubt this will affect the market that much, it wouldn't be like we had way back in December 2017 because the growth is much stronger now.

So, I lost some of her money due the current market conditions.

You should have not invested your daughter's savings without understanding what you are investing into, we have a very popular saying here "only invest what you can afford to lose" you should understand this you are not doing research on how the market works you only care about greed this is the easiest way to lose your investment following your greed.

Before you invest you should know all the grounds around the market that you are dealing with.

Bitcoin is very volatile, without proper understanding you'll lose your money that quick, like what happened to you, that movement
lead you to lose your daughter's savings, it shouldn't happened if you know that after the dumped, pumped will take place, it's timing
that you need to know to earned from this venue of investment.

That's not investing. It's pure speculation (which fits this board).

I doubt the bull market has come to a conclusion. There seems to be a general market consensus that it'll be a matter of time before $20k resistance is breached. Whether or not $20k can be established as some form of psychological support begs another question altogether.

But the fact is that you are not playing with your own money. I don't know the significance of the savings to your daughter, and whether or not you are even authorised to access it. If you are not, I suggest you withdraw your investment or at least consult your daughter before you proceed - that's my bottom line even as an avid long term BTC holder.

Your username summarizes what you did with your daughter's savings, Lol.

Anyway, When did you do it, though? Upon looking at the chart

It plays around the range of $18500 ~ $19200. I doubt you already lost a lot of money, but you could still recover it depending on your market position and ability to use stop-loss if you were wrong in your prediction.

Definitely, the bulls are not yet giving up. There's still a possibility of running upwards depending as well on the different institutions that buy BTC.

3 days ago yet the market is tumbling.
Bitcoin is not supposed to go up every single day of the year! This is not some pump and dump shitcoin that is here to give people quick profit before it dies again. Adoption and rallies take time, they can't happen over night.
Over the past 30 days price has gone up 42%, what else do you expect?

Of course, you are right but I remember what happened in December 2017 just like yesterday.

The reason why I'm asking is that, most people cash out in December and that may cause a major market crash.

The market still going sideways as it gives the impression that bitcoin will go down and will go up, as the support and resistance levels are both resistants at the moment.
The bull run isn't over yet and your daughter's money will recover as long as you're willing to wait, set a goal to sell, and be prepared to cut loss if you can't wait for months.
However, bitcoin suppose to reach the ath in the next year, probably around $30k-$50 and some predict it may reach $100k.

It seems that the OP is hoping for get-rich-quick here. You can't expect to earn high profits in a matter of days.
If he's into crypto since 2017 (as what the profile says), then, he knows how btc market behaves.
And that time, he had seen a lot of ups and downs in the market, and just because we are almost seeing the ATH price of 2017, he may be thinking that he can also see that price again easily.
The crypto market today is very different than in 2017. And in terms of adoption, definitely, we are doing much better today.

Its not over till its over, just drifting isnt that bearish as the high price is maintained.    I doubt it falls just now without any reason, it will fight all the way down probably.      I need it to lose moving averages right now, weekly and then lose the prior recent low of about 16.5k.   Then we can talk about its over till next year.

If you are not in a hurry, it will still go up in a week or two. The market is just starting and institutions are coming in. You just have to wait though. The ones that are not into short term are going to benefit so you just have to be one of the long-term investors. OP however is investing the money intended for her daughter, I hope you don't badly need it before the price goes up.

I think the bullish rally is still ongoing and far from over.
because if we look at the chart on the market today it shows an increase and is likely to continue until 2021 and if you are lucky, of course you can return all your daughter savings that you have invested in the market, in my opinion your intention is good enough to be able. take advantage of your daughter's savings but what you are doing is too risky by risking your daughter's savings because you could lose money and if that happens it will definitely disappoint your daughter.

You should rephrase that - you gambled your daughters future savings on an asset that you were unable to predict. If you were serious about protecting that money you would have put it into a sensible index tracker fund which would do well over the long term based on an extensive history of the stock market. You can only see 10 years worth of bitcoin history and it has been extremely volatile in that time, who knows what it will be worth in ten years time, an even better cryptocurrency might be starting to take its place by then. Then again, someone who is willing to put 100% of their money into one asset cannot be trusted to take the most sensible decisions.

Seems would mean lack of certainty or assurance but that's how this market works on the other hand. We won't know if the bull market is over or not. The market price is playing pump and dump at this moment. But the good thing is that the market price is still close to its ATH and there is still a huge chance for the market price to reach or even surpass its ATH either this year or not, we just don't know. The momentum is indeed stopped but given that no continuous downfall is occurring, hope would still be there and we just need to be patient on how things will behave in this industry.

Like you want to get instant profit from investing in crypto. If you think like that means you don't understand cryptocurrency.
Because investing in cryptocurrency must be patient, can not expect price increases every day, because sometimes it needs
several days of correction. So stay calm, because based on my analysis the bullrun isn't over yet. The price of Bitcoin and
altcoins can still go up again.

Don't get panicked when the price slightly goes down. It is not 2017. People will give you all kind of suggestion here, there is no guarantee about anything. Maybe we aren't going to see the repeat of same thing this time. Bitcoin still showing strong position. I believe bitcoin won't go down much if it get a sudden dump. Finally bitcoin will recover shortly and reach more high.

What chart are you looking at is it really Bitcoin you only invested 3 days and you want to make a profit right away, Bitcoin has a good 10.1% profit that is if you invested 11 days ago, be patient nobody losses investing in Bitcoin if they have patience, or you can sell your coin if you are in a hurry to make a profit.

Buying on high is always dangerous and if you make money then sell it. if able to hold for long then it is best to stay calm else in hurry you lose more than gaining anything. Still not sure how will bitcoin unfold in 2021 or rest of the few days in December as its rises and then fall backs again.

in the crypto currency market it is very volatile you can lose your profit easily,
especially if you buy it at the highest price, indeed the Bitcoin price this month reached $ 19700 and it was an all time high this year,
so you have to be careful if you want to entry in Bitcoin, and note that the bulls have just started, not ended.

Why does some people have this kind of mindset? Like they just plan to invest whenever they see Bitcoin in bull run but did nothing when it's on the bottom yet? If you keep doing this every time you see a bull run then you will most likely to lose your investment although there are no right time to invest but it's just too high to invest and you expect already that the market to keep growing and growing everyday.

3 days ago the price of bitcoin was already high, and you bought bitcoin at an already high price. But it would be more profitable if you buy bitcoin under $19K.
But it doesn’t matter to buy at that price either. But it is not possible in 3 days you want to make a profit.
At least you have to wait until the price increases and give a profit if you plan to sell it soon. But my advice is not to panic too much if the price of bitcoin falls,
because it will recover. It just takes time
Yeah if you buy it in these all time high price it requires at least 3 or 7 years for you to get a real profit in the next all time high lol.

There's always ups and downs and it happens real quick in crypto market, open seems lack of experience and knowledge about this or simply blind due the greedy and FOMO.
It's looks like the peak of Bitcoin Price, hard to make a call that the bull Run is still on..  Or not. You better guys don't go all in, it's not the right moment to do so unless if you buy it through the last correction that happened last week where it goes below 17k. Now we are attempting another one,  will it gets through $20k or goes down even lower than $17k?

When it comes to cryptocurrency investment, the focus of profiting shouldn't be short term. If we target long term profiting, automatically the market will give good return. The user will also have time to explore and make proper decisions. What OP have done is big mistake, he had invested at the higher price and expecting the return within a short time period. He could've done it atleast few weeks back.

First of all what you did seems very irresponsible to me, you invested money that doesn't belong to you in an asset that is very volatile, second just because the market is moving sideways that doesn't really mean that the bull market is over, that could just mean that the bulls are taking a break and are gathering strength in order to surpass the 20k level that is proving to be very difficult to break, I really hope that things go well for you because that will mean that the price of bitcoin is going up and everyone in the forum is happy because of it, but it is actions like those that can completely destroy your capital because it doesn't seem as if you know what you are doing.

People are so optimistic about Bitcoin price, would be nice to smash 20k but not sure. If you believe in the long term holding you're on bullish.

Don't act so much on community's opinion, and don't rush. Obviously high volatility things can explode anytime so consistently be set up to get the opportunity.
It will be better if we were able to set our goal in long term than in shorter plans as the price is tto volatile we must know what our goal and priorities is, in terms of OPs case it somehow looks that he only buy due to hype of the community and the unexpected price increase in the fast mounts, these price increase is already sudden and only due to Paypal news even we know BER months make the price increases, I didn't expect it to be as near as it's ATH price.

I wouldn't advise anyone to pile into the market all at once, unfortunately this is a sign that marks progression towards the top.  The reason being volatility works both ways, if people rush in they rush out and in a crowd dynamic thats destructive towards a price building.    Humans have been repeating themselves in this way across markets for thousands of years I guess, technology can be part of what effects waves in price movements so we certainly have a disruptive new technology here and also human behaviour is erratic as part of that.
BTC itself is separate from how markets price its security value, avoid over investing basically is how I'd put it.   BTC is a long term interest valid to have, dont rush too much.   Over a year ago I realised 2021 had a good chance of rising quite dramatically, it wont happen all at once I hope so a pullback now is quite bullish still.

Where does it seem like that? Where did you see the bull run ending? First of all, NEVER invest something precious like that. It is regular common sense not to invest something like that and if you did that, you did something wrong and you should have never done that to begin with. However there are a billion places in online world, in books, in tv shows, in movies, and specially in finance channels that keeps saying never invest money you can't afford to lose but you did it anyway.

This shows that you didn't cared about your daughters savings at all. Which is why I think if you still want to keep going about bitcoin not in a bull run go ahead and assume whatever you want to assume, at the end of the day bitcoin is doing great and only thing that is doing worse is your daughters future if you keep doing these things.

^ Be patient because the price volatility of bitcoin will never abate, we may still experience some price shakes but that is only due to some bitcoin investors who will probably to sell their bitcoins and probably because of FOMO or could be because of the holiday season like what OP mentioned it's December now and we consider this as the shopping season but that may not be enough reason to conclude that the bullish is over for more individuals are still coming in as far as I know to invest and own some bitcoins due to the mass adoption and awareness made by large companies who acquire bitcoin in their services now.

You can wait till the end of this December.Because mostly the bull run will end at the last week of december all the time. But don't wait blindly, analysis the market every day.Now the price of bitcoin back to the normal senerio. It was in the market price of 19k$ and it will reach the maximum of 20,000$ before the year end.If my guess is right, the price will reach the 21k$.

Bull ran is happening in this market and Bitcoin already hits ATH value of the year. The last chapter of the year is just started and we will be going to see something big which will be placed soon. Institutional investors are coming in crypto which is blessing for cryptocurrency.

Losing money due to the current market condition doesn't mean such thing. You may know more about this. Bull run is just started and will continue which I am thinking. So have some patience, you may able to make profit soon.

Be patient friends, Bitcoin only goes down a little and it takes a lot of patience when expectations don't go the way you want.
but you also have to be aware of bitcoin volatility and can easily turn things around suddenly, but I am optimistic that bitcoin will bounce back in the near future to reach the price of 20k and you have to be patient that the bull run will return.

As for OP, I was severely underwater for nearly three long and boring years. Now I am not. If you can't take it after a handful of days maybe this isn't for you. And if it's not really your money that's an even more pisspoor idea. Still, if you wait long enough the chances are high you'll come good.

You never lost investing in Bitcoin you only lose your patience, you should do your research before investing not only on Bitcoin but on all coins in the market, Bitcoin was and is never a pump and dump coin, you do not invest here and just wake up the next day that you already made double the profit, it's not the way how it all works.

The market condition is better now you should look at the chart to see the profit made by investors who invested in the time where only brave people invested.
I agree. Research is essential in every investment, It is not good that you only invested in bitcoin because of the bull run and the hype around it. There are no successful investors that invested blindly, Everyone of us trusted bitcoin because of its potential and that potential can't happen in just days, weeks, or months. I'm sad because you invested your daughter's savings without thinking about the risk and complaining about your loss.

It is normal to worry about the price decrease after investing, and you do not have to panic about this issue. When you look at historical data, you need to see how it has gone up. Especially when you examine the increase data in the last month, you will get rid of the panic atmosphere on you.

The month has just started and it is too early to conclude whether bullish market is over or not. Also will it be a burden if the true bullish market occur in January next year? Bottomline is no one knows when will prices be at peak, but those are surely anticipated users on this community. Whether it occur this year or not, waiting is the only thing we can do as well as having deep market analysis as basis on our actions regarding the market price behavior.

I invested my daughter's savings 3 days ago yet the market is tumbling.
So, I lost some of her money due the current market conditions.

It's December, after all!
Are the bulls gone now or what?

Sorry to hear that. I don't think that the bull run is gone. The bull run will come, and when the bull runs come, you will see bitcoin and many altcoins will start to rise and many altcoins will compete to reach a better position.

I think you are not alone losing your money due to the current market conditions, but other people get the same experience. But you need to stay calm and wait for the real bull run. Bitcoin is not yet increasing and get the bull run. Maybe it will come in the next year.

That was a big mistake. You are risking your daughter's savings by investing in Bitcoin which not at a good time.
Supposedly, you'll not be doing that knowing that we are already at ATH because sooner or later, the opposite trend will come out and that we are now.

May we say that Bullrun hasn't already ended yet as the market will possibly recover but we are not sure about what will happen next. The trend can change its course at any time but I am worried that you will lose.

Nah, correction doesn't mean the end of bullrun and we could build up the bullish market again after awhile. So many large corporations focused on adopting crypto more specifically bitcoin after all.
Maybe we gonna see some bullrun again but take my opinion with grain of salt since everything could happen in crypto market,.

Anyway, why invest your daughter's saving? Cryptocurrency is considered as high risk high return investment and using that kind of important money is not advised.

The whales and miners some of them seems has decided to fulfilling the buy demands sooner that expected.
They didnt wait any longer and the war still happening , between the one who selling off and the other who buying in , both is on huge level.
Many of traders and analyst unsure about what is going to happen , that is the free market, you have to be ready for every possibilities.
If someone telling you to buy bitcoin now before it skyrocketing to 100000 usd without knowing those facts, then you are in the wrong path, move out.
I am more to a halted bullrun, everything will be continued later at the first quarter of 2021.

I don't understand how you lost some of her money when Bitcoin is a very volatile asset. You may have lost a few hundred bucks because of the market "slight" correction, but It sure will bounce back sooner, and that's guaranteed in the long run. Not unless if you have sold it.

A friendly advice : You should at least know the very basic fundamentals on where you put your money for investment. Bitcoin is a very volatile asset and it doesn't have magic to make you rich in December.

You don't invest your daughter's savings without knowing and calculating the risk. When I say calculate, you should be aware that bitcoin is a volatile asset and it goes like a roller coaster. With all of those past months that we've got, usually, people really start to invest when it's an uptrend.

If the bulls are gone then we don't be sitting anymore with $19k and it's down back under $10k or even worse. You need more patience as it looks like you're wanting an overnight profit.

Why did you invest your daughters savings for the current thread? It's dangerous for you if the market goes in a wrong ways since you might lose the supposed to be savings of your daughter intended for future needs. Maybe you should think next time before doing that and only invest the amount what you have and don't put any emergency money and think about multiplying it.

Also we are not on bad side yet the bitcoin price still stabilized at $19,000+ mark so I think the bull run is not done yet and maybe we can see more on upcoming days. Also better to monitor the movements and react if something falling down happen to secure your profit or maybe to minimize your losses.
Obviously this is a wrong action, your daughter's savings should not be used wrongly like this, it will waste a lot of money if the market continues to fall and don't be affected by erratic increases, you should do the analysis first and if possible don't use emergency funds it will be very loss for you.

Well, we still expect it to come back because the current price is still above $ 19k, that means there is still a chance for a return, so when there is a profit, you have to immediately sell it and save it back to its original place then start with cold funds is much better.

I think you quote the wrong post since actually that's what I'm saying to OP since it's very wrong to risk those savings since we don't know how the market flow and what will be the figures coming tomorrow and if the bad shot strikes for sure he will end up crying for the lost what he encounter and the supposed to be savings of his daughter will gone.

And simple decline can make people who risk all get panic and that's what OP feels right now provably, but since the market still in good figures maybe the bull run is not done yet and hopefully we can see more big pumps.

Bitcoin is not supposed to go up every single day of the year! This is not some pump and dump shitcoin that is here to give people quick profit before it dies again. Adoption and rallies take time, they can't happen over night.

The prices do not go up forever, there are misconceptions in this type of market wherein majority of the people are thinking guarantee of winning by just buying bitcoin. They do not know that there are right time of entry and exit. Just because the price of the bitcoin is currently moving below its ath it does mean its already bearish? The answer is no and it is only 3 days and you just concluding that the market is already bearish. Do mot expect that the price of the bitcoin will just up because consolidations and retracements are important and it is not even a sign of weakness. The bullish is just starting up so develop your patience and try to focus on improving your technical analysis skills.

Did you sell though? If you hold on it, then there are a chance that you will be profiting by now. If you liquidate it, did you reinvest or not?

March 2020 the price is just above $3k, and now December we are almost at $20k? So do the math, we have been in the bullish sentiments in the last 10 months or so.

Of course, you are right but I remember what happened in December 2017 just like yesterday.

The reason why I'm asking is that, most people cash out in December and that may cause a major market crash.

We are just starting the month of Dec and looking at the btc price, still good to me. We are at 19400 level and been long time that we had seen this price. How much are you expecting by now? Maybe you can sell your btc intermittently if the price is above your buying price. Don't expect that you will get huge profit by mere days of holding.

Seems like your username is my reply as well 😜 though it's a bit overrated, joking aside. Well, I don't think we are over unless Grayscale is that stupid that still buying at the top and just recently they are still increasing their holdings. I think we may not see the end of a bull run unless we make another ATH that's higher from the former.

Patience is need for any investment. You can't make profit in few days, it takes years, months to make profit. Learn how the market works before investing otherwise you'll loose your money.

I do not think the bull run is over this year.  I actually think it is only now just the beginning.

When the price of Bitcoin keeps getting closer to 20k then loses value, I keep thinking to sell and rebuy.

But anytime now we will break through the all time high because the bulls are not gone yet.
