Catfishing turned digital. Good that you have learned through this experience. Not something you needed in life but will definitely help you in the future and will help all of us as we learn through your experience. These scams should really be stopped. These petty scams are seriously destroying the reputation of the whole industry!!!

Yes wise words indeed. Thanks.  You are 100% right. Yes it is certainly is destroying the reputation. I travel a lot for work and everyone I talk to has a negative opinion. Sad. From a lot of recent research and talking to many people, I think it would be fair to say Tinder is one of the main enablers of this, as they do nothing to curb what is an international epidemic of huge proportions. Can't be that difficult to curb it. Can produce an app but can't control, the app, or simple don't care and can't be bothered. I recently tested it again and had over 30 girls trying to sell me fake crypto or dodgy exchanges to go to. All from Hong Kong and China. Its crazy. Hong Kong used to have the finest reputation as a financial hub. My how the mighty have fallen. My advice to anyone is do not waste you time talking to these low life and stay well away from anyone from these places. They are bad news. From research and experience, the  large percentage are con artists. They are after your hard earned money. It amazes me why Chinese people wonder why they have such a bad reputation around the world. Of course other people in other countries are involved too, but it is obvious to anyone where the majority comes from.  Never believe anyone on Tinder !

Yes it has definitely been a hard lesson learned. I appreciate all the comments. It is not life savings, but still was enough to hurt. I realized in this, it is not actually the loss of money that makes me angry the most. But the scumbags who do it. They must be the lowest form of human existence. To be that inadequate, that the only way to progress in life is to lie and cheat. As for proof. I can post the photos of the people, but they have deleted their profiles since the big scam. Tinder do nothing about these sorts of scams. At best they might remove a profile. You only have to browse Tinder in Hong Kong and it won't take long after some liking and messaging to get tapped up for a crypto scam. But not an app I will use again.

But my hard lesson I hope is a lesson that other people can read and remember....do not trust Chinese women talking crypto currency investment or anything to do with investment on Tinder. Even today I had more Chinese women trying to sell me scam crytpo. I just delete them now. From my experience and research Tinder is full of Chinese women involved in scamming money for investments. Be careful. Do not be as stupid as I was.  Smiley I am surprised there has not been a TV expose done on it because it must run into the hundreds of millions, based on numbers of people on Tinder. Coincidentally I was in Hong Kong recently and people there told me it is everywhere in China but they often use Hong Kong as a location because foreigners are more trusting of a Hong Kong locale.

Good lesson learned !

& using girls on Tinder to attract investors?  Huh what sorcery is this haha

Nothing new, scammers also use fake profiles on Instagram for this:

See:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/i-know-is-some-scam-but-i-am-not-seeing-the-full-scope-can-someone-help-5194119

As for OP, what can be said more, you realized yourself you have been scammed, unfortunately, there is little to be done, especially if you're not in the country where this exchange is located or you can't work something with your bank.

But! It will help a lot of people if you post whatever proof you have,  bitcoin talk ranks high in search results so people searching for those exchanges will see this topics too,  try to even report the profiles to tinder (what they are doing goes against their T&C). It won't solve much but at least it will make those scammers work.

I hope it wasn't a huge amount.

Thank you for the comments. It is appreciated. Unfortunately it is easy for me to be wise after the event. I was naive and let my guard down. I should of course asked questions before, but was new to this form of investment and did not. My mistake and one I regret.

The two exchanges that seem like scams are

https://ex.cash/  SEET

http://add-ex.io/  PCT

I doubt very much I will ever see my money again. Naive yes, but definitely a victim of some real low life criminals.

My advice to anyone reading this is never trust a Chinese girl on Tinder. Tinder is absolutely full of pretty Chinese girls from Hong Kong and mainland China. Often they put their location as London or somewhere in the USA or even just stick to Hong Kong or China. They feed you a story over days or sometimes weeks, send photos on holiday, in their cars, even with their families......very believable to. After I was a victim, I went back on Tinder to research for my own interest....After contacting 20, all (100%) of them tried to tell me about crypto and all tried to start the scam story.

I was very stupid and it will not happen again. But I write this just to warn others. I would not want to see anyone else get scammed of their hard earned money. Tinder is awash with this. It seems mainly China and Hong Kong are the geographical locations for these low life's to operate from. Beware. Thanks for the comments.

Thank you. Yes I have plenty of proof. It seems you can not withdraw what you invest. So on the face of it seems to be set up to take your money but not withdraw it. Hong Kong and China after my research, seem to be awash with these types of scams and exchanges. A lot of them use girls to attract new investors via Tinder etc to the scams. I had hoped this was not one of them, but alas it is seeming more and more like it is.

Thank you for your advice. I am very new to all of this which could well be the reason why I am sadly in this position.
You should have ask question about the exchange site before you make use of it. I tried to do some depth research about exchange and find out that it has 0 record on Alexa and it created last year April 12th at 02:57:50. However, you ask question about SEET investment and i hope it not investment that promises good ROI is no time

What exactly happened? Your deposit didn't arrive or you can't withdraw? I never heard about that website before and looking from the template, it's similar to those Chinese hit & run exchange.

You should move this to services discussion or scam accusations if you have more proof. Use the move topic on the bottom left to do it.

I naively purchased SEET on an Exchange I was unfamiliar with. The exchange was https://ex.cash/

Stupid yes and trusting of someone else.

As I am new to BITCOIN and this type of investing, I already think I have lost my money but as a one last attempt to find out. Would anyone on here know of this exchange or of the investment SEET.

I have already kind of accepted I am a probable victim of a scam. But maybe some of you more experienced investors will know. If not, then at least I have warned other people of this probable scam. I simply do not know 100% if it is, but coming to the conclusion it is.

Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
