Thanks for the suggestion, I was looking only for a widget which to show the balance in the background. I have the same from Coinbase to check the price and I think is very handy, you don't need to open and check every time, just a quick peak.
I installed Electrum mobile now to test it, I use Electrum on the PC but never tried the mobile version.

why don't you use electrum mobile for android instead and make a watch only wallet? Since electrum wallet supports segwit addresses this is another alternative to check the segwit balances in your wallet.

Electrum allows you to create a watch only wallwt with all your public addressesin the desktop you will receive a pop up Everytime your balance in any of these addresses change. Never tried Android.

I tried the Sentinel Android and I'm happy with the app. I wish there was a widget to display the balance in the background, and some alerts when the balance change but it's fine like this too Smiley

In googleplay a lot of applications that allow you to monitor the balance. It is a pity that the app store is not such as iphone does not allow you to add widgets

Thanks, I shall definitely try it.
I gave you my last merit just a second ago for the other comment (still ROFL) but consider it also for this one.
Hah. It's fine m8. I know a merit-bait topic when I see one.  Cheesy

Sorry no more merit, maybe I shall apply for a merit source ... jk...
Why not? You miss all the shots you don't take. Tongue

EDIT: So you gave me merit anyway. LOL. Thanks

I use the Sentinel Android app specifically for this reason. You can set up a watch-only address.

Wonder if there is a way to check the balance in a given SegWit wallet address, mobile app will be the best option, but I can bookmark a link too.
I found one mobile app that adds widget for every address, very cool but of course it doesn't work with SegWit addresses.
