maybe nobody gives a shit anymore because bitcoin stopped being a currency. and despite what they are advertising, most people didn't like bitcoin because it was "store of value" they liked bitcoin be cause it was a "currency".

OP is asking about fees. yeah if you use SegWit your (current medium fee) would be $2.5 instead of $3. but you are still paying $2.5 for a transaction that should have been nearly free.

As I have learned more and more about Bitcoin, I have come to the conclusion that there should be no such thing as free. Bitcoin is a censorship resistant, decentralized currency without a middleman. Transactions from within the network must always be worth something. Failing to have that fee market will result in less miners and less security in the blockchain.

But there is hope if you really want small fees. The Lightning Network is coming.

why don't people use it? most wallets don't have it yet! bitcoin core for starters does not yet have a user friendly way that you can easily generate a SegWit address and start receiving payments. other most used wallets such as blockchain.info and coinbase do not even have it. the only most used wallet i know of is Electrum which people are slowly starting to upgrade to new wallets.

Is that it? After all the complaints about high fees and network congestion, that is all you can say? Do you believe in Bitcoin still? Do you want to help make the network become better? Every small thing counts. Use Segwit and tell every Bitcoiner you know to use it too.

Then 3 days later no one bothered to answer or share their opinions. Hahaha.

I believe this is because of 3 things,

1. The lack of education and awareness of what is going on in the development of Bitcoin.
2. Users in the forum do not care about helping themselves by using Segwit which lowers the fees and helps with network congestion. Maybe these days, it is all about "making the money".
3. The passionate users have moved on from the forum, and we are left by people who only want to ride the bandwagon.

No one here gives a shit about bitcoin anymore. This whole forum is made up of signature campaigners that don’t care what cryptocurrency you pay them with because they immediately exchange it for fiat. Oh, and altcoin pump n dumpers.

I am very curious if some of you have started using Segwit enabled wallets yet. As you noticed, I have been campaigning for Segwit around the forum, and I would like to have some feedback from all who have started using it.

For Segwit wallet users.

How much in fees are you saving by using a Segwit enabled wallet?

For those have not started using Segwit wallets.

What makes you unwilling from using it? Is it the lack of information?

Please post honestly and truthfully. There are no right or wrong answers. Your feedback is very important.
