No. Segwit destroys bitcoins model.

It's so bad, that Core devs don't even want people to use it on BTC.

Just buy Bitcoin Cash and relax peacefully.

So if i understand correctly availible information even if segwith 2x win we will be able to send and receive funds to an old legacy addresses like nothing happened (off course along the modified wallet software)?

So for example if i have address which start with 1 (non segwit adress) can I receive deposit in February 2018 from segwit 2x address...and can i pay from legacy address then further to segwith 2x address...

Am i Right?

See here: https://cointelegraph.com/explained/segwit-explained

It will give detailed explanation of what Segwit is and how it will improve BTC.

Educate yourself and you'll find the answers you are looking for within a google search.
Yep! It’s a nice explanation of Segwit. I would like to add that Segwit is an upgradation that brings about enormous changes in the crypto market. After the August 1st, the Segwit real force will be seen by the bitcoin lovers and supporters. In the last weeks of August, the prices are going to pump so high that traders will be able to enjoy the biggest profit of crypto world.

What's the exact date for implementing Segwit 2?

SegWit makes bitcoin faster because it removes the signature part from the code that doesn't need it or something like that.

Everyone in the Bitcoin community, for the most part, likes Segwit.

Segwit2 is something the evil greedy miners want. It doubles the block size and screws over everybody who wants to make smaller transactions (everyday people). Segwit2 has goodness mixed with garbage to trick people into thinking they want it. It is like getting served icecream with dog poop mixed in. In the end it still tastes like crap.

Other techy people know more and can give better detail, but this is what I've gathered from reading.

So you mean that there a deferent between this two segwit and segwit2x? Actualy i dont know about this segwit and segwit2x base on your explaination segwit is 2 parts which is segwit 1 and segwit2x correct me if im wrong thank you if i would base on your explaination i would choose segwit 1 which is good for all of us but i hope that the fee keep lower than today and make it faster every transaction.

There is no 100% the best and ideal scaling solution, every single one of proposed upgrades had pros and cons.
Let's just say that in the case of SegWit2x the pros definitely outweigh the cons, I would call SegWit2x the most pragmatic scaling solution we have.
Bitcoin is so diversified that there will be always people who will hate certain scaling solution just because "it is not something that Satoshi would do".

as far as I can see ...

I cannot foresee myself consenting to the hardfork proposal under almost any circumstances, except perhaps with a softfork to limit the size to something reasonable. Even then, I would still not positively support this proposal: if we are going to hardfork, we should actually make some useful changes in it (for example, native merge-mining, as Satoshi suggested as the first hardfork many years ago), not to mention fix some outstanding bugs (such as the time warp vulnerability). I am certainly not by far the only person with these concerns, so I can say with a relatively high level of confidence that Segwit2x’s hardfork will fail.
Overall, Segwit2x seems to have one real purpose*: to try to stall Segwit longer. It is a distraction from the upcoming BIP148 softfork, which is already irreversibly deployed to the network. By promoting BIP91 and Segwit2x as an alternative to BIP148, what miners are really doing is another power grab to try to take back their veto, which has no purpose other than to be used by Bitmain to block the whole thing at the last minute.

Look what it did to the price of LTC.

+1 to this one.

It resolved LTC scalling issue, it ll do exactly the same to BTC. The only difference is that few so called BTC devs and large holders would like for the entire community to follow what they want to have. This is why all this fuzz. LTC did not have it.

The short version is that it is equivalent to a larger block size, in addition it fixes some issues with bitcoin and allows offchain solutions to come into play for future scaling.

So to answer your question yes SegWit is good for everyone.
