So I looked into it some more and found out how to do it. Guess I'll lock the topic.
Yes, I know it's risky and the odds of finding a block by yourself are very, very, low. I understand pools are the smarter way to go.
But just for the moment, let's say I'm stupid. Where would I find the software to mine on my own? I read about it a lot, and people talk about it a lot; but how do you do it? Thanks.
