Would it be possible to create our own Bitcoin COUNTRY, where it is self-sufficient and dependent on bitcoin?
No.
And what is your argument?

Globalization and world trade have made self sufficiency largely impossible. Another poster said something on here about a small scale commune, I think that is as far as we could get. But then we couldn't use bitcoin because we wouldn't have electronics. Unless you plan on manufacturing our own computers...but then we have to mine all the materials for said computers, so we need to be somewhere that has a diverse set of natural resources in a relatively small area.

Forming a bitcoin country is one thing, forming a self-sufficient country is another thing entirely

Well, the simple answer is no.

But if you think about it, we're already in that country. It's called "The internet."

Totally agree, Internet is the new Wild Wild West, we do not need to conquer any physical land
Guess so though the people of the internet consist of manu people, including the ones the people from various governments who want to control it.

Most of the world's problems come from countries, let's not add another one. Our goal should an open planet without borders where everything is global.
National identity and traditions should remain while the trade restriction elimination would be a positive change.

I don't get the psychology behind these threads.

If you got your own freaking country, just bin the excessive governmental control on trade and money. After that, what do you need special Bitcoin treatment for? You can trade in anything from gold coins to dollars or eCash-like anonymous bank credt. Sure, also Bitcoin if you so prefer. But there'd be zero need for the government to ever specifically handle Bitcoin. Even whether they take it for taxes is irrelevant as anything of value would be trivially convertible. They could take taxes in goat milk derivatives and it would work all the same.

So yea, let's make a country devoid of insane policy.

And there we're already at odds, because demanding self-sufficiency is insane policy. This isn't the middle ages, anyone who can cut you off from trade could destroy the country anyway. I'd agree at best to communes holding food reserves.

keep in mind that: governments and banks might not like bitcoin for some reason. maybe because they will lose profits or power or something else or all at once. this means that they wont like people who are using bitcoins because they like power and dont want to give it away. this means that they wont like such a country for the same reason. and you need friends in other countries so they not only will not invade you but will protect you from invasion from other hostile countries. which means any country who would like to have bitcoin as national currency would have to have strong army so nobody will come and say you shouldnt use bitcoins because if you do, people in our country will probably also want it and we dont really like that idea ... or even worse our people are migrating to your country which we also dont like ... and also i forgot to mention that you are terrorist since you are threating our peacefull country and ruining our well prospering economy so accept our few nukes that are heading toward your capital as a gift  ...

as long as we dont have physical location as a country they cant bombard us, we have to destroy them first

Bah.

No goverment would give a frack about the currency. The problem is rather that very little new land is made.

If you conquer a country, they and their neighbours have an obligation to fight you and either kill you or throw you out.

It might be doable to buy up a part of a country and declare independence, but unless that land is considered worthless, you might get problems.

Only real-world possibilities are remote locations, very poor locations or the seasteading idea.

What do you mean by self-sufficient?

What level of comfort you require?

We have our own economy, etc.
