RIP Mommy
Wouldn't the killer bitcoin app allow you to generate a QR code for each UPC in your inventory, then when customers scan that QR code, they are directed to the store's URL with the BTC float price/fiat and checkout displayed?

If anyone is interested, I'm willing to design and manufacture some cheaper version. Smiley

Good idea, maybe would have been better to spend money on a patent than a prototype.

As someone else has mentioned, digital price tags are increasing in use as they decrease in cost, I'm sure it won't be too long before this sort of thing is a lot more affordable.

It has a gimmick factor, so yes. In The Netherlands there are already supermarkets with digital price tags.

This thing still could be produced much cheaper than $40. Also by adding an E-Paper display, you could use a button cell for power and it will last for weeks.
