Be careful with even paying 5$ for it without a warranty or an escrow. You don't want to lose your 5$ on a deal that may sound too good .
When it comes to SBX cards warranty and/or escrow is meaningless. It's simply a gamble and, like gambling in the casino you take your chances. For $5 it would be worth the gamble.
Firstly if you are a trusted member you could ask an escrow to hold the funds and trust you on your word if the card had balance when you used it . I believe these cards also allow you to check the balance online and follow how it was spent so they can probably do that.
If not, then instead of you trusting a newbie, I think it should be the other way round where the newbie should be able to trust you first being a Sr. Member, and have the card sent to you first.
