I will prefer to go with bitcoin at a moment, as I am sure that price gonna rise at the time of halving so its better to hold till then and sell when the right time comes.

The bitcoin price has broken the $450 mark, it is staying above that level for a few days. It is less volatile now.

The bitcoin is still in its early stage.
Don't forget this can also mean Bitcoin gets forgetten again. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this will happen, nor do I see any reason why it should happen, but it can happen anyway.
What do you think is more likely to still be valuable in 50 (or 500 for that matter!) years? Gold or Bitcoin? I bet gold is more likely to stlll be around.
But if Bitcoin is still around in 50/500 years, I bet 1 dollar in bitcoins now is worth a lot more by then than 1 dollar in gold now.

Doesn't matter if gold will be around in 500 years! Reason is there either won't be any humans on this planet any more due to self destruction and war or mankind is so technically advanced that it will be able to fly to other planets and mine precious metals, diamonds etc. almost everywhere in space.Thefore gold won't have that much of value any more on this planet. Cheesy
You have been watching too many science fiction movies it seems.

But I do agree that gold will not keep this value for ever as it has an unlimited supply.

Just imagine what will happen if governments and mining companies bring their hidden gold stashes to the market.

The entire gold market cap will lose an insanely high percentage of its market cap if that is going to happen.

Gold is a goddamn stone, bitcoin is 1's and 0's.

USD is backed by the superpower United States of America.

I know USD-Gold war gonna damage USD, but in the end, theUS will fuck everyone who dares to stand against USD and will win.

one last thing: Sell all, buy TESLA.

Gold is always an good option to invest, but the returns are time consuming, but a person who wants to play safe can always go for investing the money into the gold.

The gold is just a hedge against the inflation. The price will not be too high. The bitcoin is still in its early stage.

Omg!!! The sky is falling, the sky is falling. Give me a break to Sell all stocks and to buy bitcoin but i think invest in gold is more safe than bitcoin.

The central banks all over the world have an interest in preventing the stock markets from crashing. They will do whatever is in their power to prop up the markets. That is not so with Bitcoin.

yeah gold is always better and safer option in compare to bitcoin, I am not saying that bitcoin is not good investment product but it is bit risky in compare to gold so if you can take that risk then you should go for bitcoin first.

sell all stock and buy bitcoin It was also said in November 2013, and we all know the story. Bitcoin is more risky than gold in my advice
yeah, bitcoin is risky. I'm not gonna sell all stocks for bitcoin. I don't know what will happen, it may make me lose everything.
Of course Bitcoin is risky, there is nothing backing it, and there is a very shaky user base supporting it.

Gold seems like it is going to be depreciating more than it will appreciate, however, but we will see in time. Very little is certain in today's economy.
Bitcoin will be the future money and that is very good. But you dont know what the value will be and that is the problem.
You also can see now that the value is rising very slowly so you must be fast to make some investments.

I agree totally. The bitcoin price is just low before the halving. The big whales are accumulating.
yeah better to sell stocks and buy bitcoins bitcoin will rise sooner after halving you can make more profit if you buy bitcoin right now and wait for the block halving end.. and sell it and convert again in gold..
Some stocks have been performing incredibly well recently, it's like a week-trader's paradise in some industries right now. For a stock simulator game I have going I made $7k in one week simply because of the good performance by some stocks recently.

Personally I'd buy gold to keep my wealth safe, and buy some Bitcoin to hold as an investment geared toward making me money.

Yes, sell all your stocks or any other investment, but buy only bitcoin. I do not agree to buy gold as of current trend. Gold is a good investment. I do not have any other opinion in that. But if you look for quick and multiple returns then investing into bitcoin is the only better option available in front of us now.

Yes I am buying only bitcoin at a moment as I have a felling that I can make good profits in quick time so If I hold now and sell at the time of halving can give me good returns.

Considering the dollar haven't been doing a good job lately and the chinese stocks plummeted, bitcoin and gold are probably a good choice until we are past the panic phase.

IT related stocks have been doing good for the last few years. So no harm in buying them or like me keep your investment there.
Having separate assets is mandatory for success. So yes i will enlarge my bitcoin and gold holdings, but no way i will sell stocks for that.

More risk we take more outcome we will receive isn't it? Just like many quotes we've seen around "in the end we only regret the chances we didn't take".
So it's time to decide to take a risk now or regret later.

So are you advocating penny stocks over blue chips because they are more risky? Sad

Buying bitcoin and gold is the smart move to make as both have a great future ahead, and we can expect much higher price in future, stocks is history, use bitcoin.

yeah they have great future just i would go like 65% with bitcoin and rest of gold because of block halving, i hope that it will rise price by 150 $ or even more while gold is pretty stable compared to bitcoin, it's less risky but bitcoin can bring much more money than gold

Yes that is the smart thing to do, if you have ability to take risk then you can invest in both of them as you can earn good profits from both of them in future.

right now it is a good time to buy bitcoin, the price has just gone down a couple of bucks which makes it a good low price to buy before it starts going back up to $420 again.

but i would still keep at least 10% in gold, cause i like to diversify my portfolio.

Yes diversifying investment is the best thing to do as you never which product will give you best returns in future or which product will fail so its good to ready to with multiple products.

Gold and stocks have become history now, try to invest in innovative product like bitcoin which can give you best return on investments in future, I would invest only in bitcoins.

Gold is also a good backup investment, think about the fact if the bitcoin would collapse and all other currency's will collapse too.

Go for bitcoin. gold is also the good option . But the best thing about the btc is you can see now the price is very much stable as far as i feel we will see the increment towards it. gold slowly it is increasing comparatively btc will give its best as most of the time it does.

Do you physically have it, AKA you can touch it?
5 grams doesn't really sound like a "bar", when you say "gold bar" I'm thinking of a brick-sized piece.

Stocks seem overpriced, but as long as central banks are doing Quantitative easing (QE) (AKA printing money) there is no upper limit for stock value. Or better: there is no lower limit for the value of the money they are printing.

Buy bitcoin and gold is the most appropriate way for our hoards and sell it when the price of the bitcoin and gold price is much higher than it used to be we buy, it's just that I prefer the bitcoin than gold. Because of the bitcoin still have such great expectations to gain greater recognition from the bank and the countries in the world. If they acknowledge the existence of the Bitcoin and using Bitcoin as currency. Then the Bitcoin will very well to serve as a long-term investment. Because it could be if all the countries and all the World Bank wearing a Bitcoin, it costs will be far higher than now and much more aggressive in the increase or decrease in prices.
