Only an idiot sells now, HODL & you shall be rewarded.
It is best to hold right now because the price is stable and the halving is going to come in any time soon now.
If you hold for after the halving the chance is bigger that you will make some more money.
yeah hold still a good choice, because halving not bring change in the price, so there is still a potential increased several months ahead of halving effect.

I think whales doesn't usually have time to create new account every single day just to post bullshit post to create panic sell and also these types of threads is not enough to create such sell pressure may be some panic sellers who sell low before do this to buy back cheap coins.

Whales don't have time to answer their company's phones either. That's why they HIRE people to do that for them. Lol difficult concept for some people to grasp, I know

You'd probably be very surprised by the amount of bitcoins held by the collective users of this forum. Some have been here since the days of mining thousands of bitcoins a day with a laptop
Mining on a laptop. That was even possible when bitcoin came out 6 years ago?
How many would they have made in a day?
It just seems so unreal to imagine this at this present time.  Undecided
Most of them would probably be pulling >100 BTC per day, more than likely even more than that depending on how fast they were hashing and how many computers they had set up. I would think that a lot of the big ballers likely made over 1000 Bitcoin with a dozen or so computers running, and that is just insane to think about. Considering a lot of miners these days are lucky to make over 50 Bitcoin per day (if I remember things I read right), and considering they have terahashes if not large fractions of a petahash behind them, it's insane.

If you think about mining with a laptop right now, then it's beyond impossible to get even $0,01 worth of coins per day. Back in the early days some people could find themselves a few blocks per day. Each block at that time was worth 50 BTC in rewards. Do your calculation. Smiley

Insane to think about. I thought I remembered reading stories about guys with several rooms worth of laptops and desktops being used solely for mining.

The whales should have to take care of the future of bitcoin, they should not have to be greedy, they should have to let the price of bitcoin to reach higher so that more people adopt bitcoin and start to love bitcoin.

What price crash?

Today's price crash, didn't you read my post?
I only invested in this game-changing technology of the future yesterday, and already down about a thousand unsound American dollars. The missus doesn't even know what I gone and done yet, and I can't figure what to tell her.
You suppose I should tell her now, finance visionary, talented video producer, MTV-caliber guitarist and all around Renaissance [Florida] Man Jarred Boyce? Or break it to her easy, sorta ready her for the shock, maybe candlelight dinner, over a glass of vine? Drop it on her just before the roofies kick in?

Or just "hodl" and hope she don't find out? Oh God, what am I saying! Help me wake up from this nightmare, finance visionary, talented video producer, MTV-caliber guitarist and all around Renaissance [Florida] Man Jarred Boyce. Please, just make it stop...

Happy Days my friend , Great post ( if i believed it, which i don't), seriously you need to look at the big picture mate, your only down a grand on you and your beloveds retirement fund. Hell that's nothing so much more to come. over the next few days leading up to the halving the price will drop and touch 600 maybe even lower as weak hands like your self sell at a loss, calling Bitcoin a ponzi scheme because  you never trebled your cash in a month. No worries glad to add your coins on the cheap to my stash. Still it gets better you know the misses will find out you spunked her hard earned cash on another get rich scheme so after a couple of bud lites  you man up and tell her your sad story about a big bad boy stealing your pocket money, not your best idea. The rest  who knows but i suspect goes like this, she packs your bags, mumbling " i should have listed to my mother when she said you were a looser" takes half your pension the car, house and dog, moves her younger hung like a  baby's arm lover into your easy chair as you move into your one bed flat with dodgy aircon and damp patch on the ceiling, truly happy days. now fuck off you paid shil and spread your shit some where else, altcoin forum perhaps ?

I see...
Everyone was so friendly when I still had worthless government folding money to spend on this moon money Cry

It is clear that nobody is buying your made up story.  Have you considered a career in creative writing though?  You might be able to earn our moon money that way... just work real hard and understand that nothing is free in this world, not even precious moon money  Grin

Well just sell some if you want man then hold I think since there is a high chance that the price will still go up. I think that it would not meet other's expectation of bitcoin going up 1200$+ this year since it is not still going up above 800$. Well I still think it is possible though only time can tell accurately what will really happen to bitcoin's price.

Halving is in next few days so it would be good if we wait for that particular day to sell our coins to take best advantage from it by selling at higher price.

Exactly this is not the right time to sell as now we are very close to halving and we have waited for this day since long time and that would be the perfect day to sell our bitcoins.

I think the top will not be on the day or halving, people should be patience and to wait better moment. Effects or halving will last month, more or less. I enjoy watching this threads and reading comments about halving, for me best thing in all this is that coins circulate. People are selling and buying, that is most important. And many people wish just to earn from this rise, for me that is nice thing and opportunity for earning. But I`m in bitcoins for other reasons, I love bitcoins, and I think we need to use them as much as possible. That will make this community grow, and also price will grow. I would like to see bitcoin high after this halving, and that is my only wish. I would do the same as before after halving, in my case nothing will change. Good luck to all traders!

These sort of thread titles are popping up all over the place. Most of them made by brand new accounts. We all know what that means. Whales are trying to shake the tree and get cheap coins.
....

i always wonder how effective these types of new posts are for those who make it. it is interesting to see them keeping at it always and even though it is getting old but they never stop and everyday you see a new account with new topics about bitcoin doom.

it must be a tiring job for the moderators of this board to keep deleting a dozen of these posts every day.

Saying 'HODL' is a sign that you follow the crowd mindlessly messing up a perfesrtly good word.  Cheesy
If you Hold there is a much better chance of a huge Rally,

You HODL for the Halvening.  You don't Hold for the Halving.  Who does that?  Nobody
You don't hold for the halving? Well me, I don't hold because of the even that will happen this month but I am holding for a long-term investment. There's no reason to sell in upcoming halving as there is no assurance that the price will increase. You see how stable the price for a week now?

the halving will actuallly lower the price dramatacilly before it rises! Noobs will start selling right at halvening before people actully feel the affects of it
sell coins easily is a mistake. we see how the development of this coin. I find it odd there is a saying that I have to sell all bitcoin that I have today.
yeah few people are there once the price reaches their expectation they sell all coins with them and this is not good. hold few coins and sell the remaining.

HODL for the halvening! It may take a few months for the run up to start but we will be rewarded for our patience! We are coming out of the 2-year bear cycle. Halving starts in 7 days, Brexit, bailouts, global economy is going down the toilet, Deutsche Bank is on the verge of pulling another Lehman, Segwit is around the corner. All kinds of bullish fundamentals are converging that will make this one of the most epic rallies in BTC history. Don't forget that during all the other previous bull runs, BTC was almost entirely an underground technology. Things have changed dramatically.

The Euro is maybe going down your right! But thats not cool brexit is something that is really something bad and a wrong move.

Brexit is definitely bad... for the international banking cartel!

edit: actually, they (THEY, you know who They are) probably did allow Brexit or influence it to happen in some way in order to use it as justification to increase centralization later.  However, they have to succeed at that, which I am doubtful.  And in that case, they may have just shot themselves in the foot over brexit.  But I digress.  All this remains to be seen

All the smart people here are not expecting a high price on the halving day itself.

I was promised a new ATH, which is more than $1,200. You're telling me ...no? Cry
you just need a lot of patience in my opinion, all the prices are possible so in my opinion you actually need to wait a lot of time and then you will be able to make some profit

i think we will surely reach a new all time high really easily because of the incoming bitcoin block reward halving, i think we will soon see a new all time high and make a lot of profit easily

Just wait a few weeks, the price will rise again and you'll have not only the ~$1,000, but a little profit as well.  You know DAMN WELL that telling her would be a horrible mistake in more than one way Tongue

But drug her anyway. And if you could film that, that would be great.

Price crash from yesterday? Lol welcome to Bitcoin dude. A $50 price change in Bitcoin isn't a crash. It's just another day.

You know as much as you keep trying to describe me with all your wonderful adjectives, I thought I should let you know I'm not gay. And I'm not interested in that sort of thing. I mean I can see you like keeping secrets from your significant other, but if you're trying to hit on me, it's not gonna happen dude.

Just wait a few weeks, the price will rise again and you'll have not only the ~$1,000, but a little profit as well.  You know DAMN WELL that telling her would be a horrible mistake in more than one way Tongue

All the smart people here are not expecting a high price on the halving day itself.

I was promised a new ATH, which is more than $1,200. You're telling me ...no? Cry

Promised by whom? An idiot? Which makes you pretty stupid too if you think someone can guarantee a price of such a volatile asset.
The price will probably go lower with the halving almost there.

Well, this was before the price crashed...
But I suppose you're right, it was my own fault for trusting you people. What should I do now? Just got to think up a good way to tell the missus, she's not gonna like this at all, no Sir... Why do I always get taken by you fast-talking moon money enthusiasts selling your disruptively game-changing financial instruments, which are algorithmically guaranteed to increase in value due to maths and immutable laws of the cosmos? Sad

What price crash? Anyone who bought only a year ago, is up 300% lol.
If someone was able to convince you that you'd be rich over the course of just a few months and that Bitcoin only goes straight up then I think you should see about returning to school and continuing your education. There are ways you can get your GED high school equivalence degree online.

Who promised that to you? Did Bitcoin visit you in a dream?

No, it was expert disruptive blockchain technologists much like yourself, they explained to me how it was a sure thing, because the supply is halvening and professional currency investors are going to panic buy us to the moon. So 1 went "all in" back when the price was a sure thing to rise at 700 dollars around this time yesterday. Lost about a grand thus far.

i think it will surely be possible and i think the price will have potential to grow even more than that what would be really cool to be honest, though those are just predictions

i think that it is not the great option to sell your bitcoins right now because if we wont sell the bitcoins then we will have a lot of more potential to make even more money soon
Yes perhaps, but doing an analogy still on a calm day may appear whirlwinds later, halving is halving, so do not rely.

Nothing is guaranteed. But I am putting my money where my mouth is and I anticipate we will leave the ATH in the dust in 7-10 months if not much earlier.  Before 2018 it's possible that we might even be approaching 5 digits, but there's lots of factors to consider

Nothing's cheap at $650 a piece.

Seems to me lots of you are expecting $750 at least on July 9th, the day of halving. I think it's more likely to be $550. Many Chinese noobs are trying to get out of btc right now. They've seen how risky it is and they can't tolerate it any longer. It's a good time to sell now.

Nothing is cheap at $650 a piece? Lol how about GOLD! Haha, what a retarded statement and from a perma-bear always preaching DOOM! Sounds like the only thing cheap here is your TALK, talks_cheep lol. Pun intended.

All the smart people here are not expecting a high price on the halving day itself. Us long term holders could care less if the price dropped to $550. Especially since we were buying at $200 while trolls like you were shouting from the rooftops to sell. With a market cap as small as $10 Billion, it's quite easy for whales to push their weight around. Although, these whales will have to push A LOT more weight when supply issuance gets cut in half. If you don't understand why then you don't understand basic math

We still have a bit unpredictable volatility. For people who bought in at between $450 and $550, it may be a good moment to sell. The 700 peak was a bit early perhaps for a really stable uptrend all the way up to a new 2015/2016 high.

But for me the crucial price range is 550-580. If this mark is broken to the downside, then I would change the predictions to bearish ones. It may go not down so much like last year, but a $400-410 floor is totally reachable then. If we stay above 550 even with the predictable price swings around the halving date, in contrast, my prediction is very bullish for the next months - if there are no fundamentals that ruin it (e.g. a new overheated block size/segwit/Blockstream debate) - but the rise will be slower than in the June pump.

i think you are right, also some newbies might be panic selling their coins because they are afraid that the price will be dumped but this will not happen in my opinion

i think the idea to sell out your coins at the moment would be really dumb as you will be able to sell it later for a much bigger price, i think it is much better to hold your coins right now

just some rookies selling their coins in panic. they will surely end up buying their coins back at much higher levels. it's their usual routine.

It's pretty pathetic selling at these prices unless you're a whsle and $10-20 per coin adds up to huge profits with your huge stash.

I don't think the halving will do much more than it already has....but definitely hold, price will at least double in the next year or two. Just keep putting in spare change and watch it grow Smiley buy in the dips (like right now)

halving is not yet started! so how can it not do much more?

the block reward should actually halve so that the effect that everybody was talking about for the last six month to come into full effect.

Looking at the present condition of bitcoin, I don't think anything good is gonna happen at halving, price fell again today and I hope it will not go below $600 in next few days.

If you're only looking 6 days ahead to the halving day itself than you are being short sighted. You have to look at the big picture

Even if it drops below 600...so what?
Take advantage of it and accumulate more if you can afford it.
In the long run price will move up to 1000 and higher.
If you're in for the long run you shouldn't care about those short term drops.

I think whales doesn't usually have time to create new account every single day just to post bullshit post to create panic sell and also these types of threads is not enough to create such sell pressure may be some panic sellers who sell low before do this to buy back cheap coins.

 Cheesy

These sort of thread titles are popping up all over the place. Most of them made by brand new accounts. We all know what that means. Whales are trying to shake the tree and get cheap coins.

This is gentleman
