Crypto is full of manipulation.  Some FUD news are cooked up just to shake off weak hands, they're telling you when to sell but they will never tell you when they are accumulating or buying up a coin. My advice to every trader, don't make decisions based on other peoples opinion

wow you got an accurate prediction on MCO. I also sold the MCO on the 30th when the price dropped. This made me get some big profit and could invest in other altcoins. I hope you can share your experience in analyzing the MCO market

I'm going to post a new MCO thread here shortly and try to unravel some of my earlier threads because I've had a chance to chat with the team over there at Monaco some and they've explained a few things I was unclear on, so now my concerns seem unwarranted and negative to their project.

Most important thing I want to clear up is that Kris has stated in no uncertain terms that Monaco staff will not be selling any MCO.  The timeframe was not specified and I can't imagine he meant 'ever' but still, it's comforting to know they're not about to flood the market.  So really, this whole thread, while accurate about the drop, totally inaccurate about the reason for the drop.

Little bit of good news: Kris said in a tweet that Monaco would not sell a single token of it's 'personal reserve'.  It's not as good as a legally binding contract but it was clearly stated in no uncertain terms so I guess that'll have to do for now.

This time is the best time ti buy more, I am wrong in my speculation and i didn't sell my monaco now i'm in lose. Somehow i will buy again in this current dump so i can have still a good profit since the dump is too low as of now

Agree with you pal. Sad to say that maybe a year or more? we dont know until we heard a bright news about it. I my self also i do hold my coins right now and im planning to sell it if it goes 0.004 maybe? or more if i cant hold it anymore. Though this coins has a lot of potential we just need patience to it lets wait about those visa cards that will released soon

If you can afford to hold it, hold it and hope it recovers over time. Buy more if you believe in this coin now.

I just registered but have been reading  a while. In the future  if yu continue to invest in these   more volatile coins you have to be very vigilant and  read this board every few hours at a  minimum. There are a few guys in here who really seem to know what they're talking about

I think it will be a long time before it's back around 0.006.  It may never get there again actually... but if you can wait, up to a year.... Maybe.   

You could try this, if you're feeling brave.  Buy more MCO at the lower price, in the deepest dips you can.  Then sell them at the highest peaks you can.  Do this enough times and you'll have offset your losses by new gains until maybe you can recover some.  There's no reason you have to do this with MCO, could be any coin.   Also, if you have the money to spare, you could also just buy as much or twice as much at the lower price, and then hold it, and all the MCO averaged together will be a lot lower of a break even point to sell at.

Well i just read it right now ive loss a lot of profit from mco right now and i dont know what to do. Am i going to sell my mco or not? Wait for the right time right price no matter how long? Good luck!  Should pick up after a while.  There's been some bad news lately but that's already factored into the price.  When good news hits it'll be a nice pump.

You should probably look into MCO a little to read up on this 'bad news'.  MCO is a kinda shady.  But whatever, if their coin goes up, who cares.

I'd say that depends on two things:

1) Does MCO actually produce what they have said they will.  So far.... enh.  The app wasn't what they promised, and the card does not have a Visa logo on it yet.  Nor does it work in USA (or India), and I think Europe is still a ways out.  But they seem to have a pretty long term plan going so maybe it'll be ok.

2) How patient are you?  If you can wait six months, I think you might see considerably more than $20 per.  But you'll be waiting a while.  No rockets, no moon.  Steady growth occasionally torn most of the way down by profit taking traders, followed by more steady growth.

I can't tell if you're talking to me or someone else?  Why would I regret selling MCO?  I bought twice as much back after the dump, and made some extra coin on top of it.  MCO has been good to me.

I'm not sure why you'd mention Rise.  Why would I want anything to do with RISE?  It's a dead coin pump toy.  The github hasn't been updated in forever and it's just a copy of Lisk anyways.  You guys have fun marching the price down so you can pump it back up again, maybe I'll get in the mix and take some of your money.   And I did sell my Tenx, wasn't doing anything, finally broke even with it so fine, you can have it.  Good luck.

I never trusted this project and haven't touched it because I don't intend to profit off projects I feel could possibly be scams.
There are plenty of quality projects to invest in that don't need to feed off lies.
So much of the value of this thing is based on their implication they would have visa backing in some way shape or form.
How people can claim the fact they didn't squash those rumors they helped encourage to pump the price doesn't speak volumes about the character of the people involved astounds me.
This team would be headed for jail if this wasn't crypto.
I hope I'm wrong about the team as I hate to see people scammed out of their savings.

You could't expect short term bumps like the one in past 4 days to hold on. This is a long term game.

Well it is now, but I was quick-flipping it like a madman on the run up last few days.  Made a bunch off that actually. 

I think a lot of the negative reaction that happened today was because of the app.  It wasn't what they promised, more of a placeholder of an app than the real thing.  Also, all the Visa logos on their site and marketing materials up and disappeared overnight, and they took their whitepage down and I guess now it's "in the app", which everyone was a bit suspicious about.

On a brighter note, Kris said in a tweet that Monaco will not be selling a single MCO token from their personal supply, so that's encouraging.  That was a much larger concern for me than the Visa logo or the app.

I saw a lot of the dump comes from no Visa logo on that cards and app (even though it was never intended to be so). This is a long-term hold for you?

You and me both, I only sold half.  Luckily that helped me buy back in at a very low dip to where I basically recovered most of my losses already, but still... I miss 400k+!   It'll be back there soon they just need some good news and Kris needs to get out ahead of the twitter-ati better.

What's suspicious about it?  I said MCO would tank, and it did.  Touched 200k for a second today before recovering a bit.  That's 300k+ down from when I posted this.  Don't shoot the messenger.

As far as VISA card is concerned, whether there is card or no card is absolutely no issue.  Anyone and their grandma can launch a visa debit card these days for little or no costs..

You can serve it as a long term since there is hype happen for Monaco. Most miss the train with the price pump recently but maybe for a little bit hodling will still give you enough profit.

If you buy back with the price of Monaco at now, you need take small profit because the bullish trend of Monaco has ended in yesterday when the price of Monaco reach to @600k satoshi, you should analysic careful before decided buy again.

Thanks. I don't have any worries because i believe on monaco projects whatever the price now i just leave it and wait for long term. I know that is a kind of price hype but definitely a good sign that the market is active and more over the team behind on it are in progress working in their projects.

As far as I can see, the amount of MCO sold is relatively high, the price has reached 10x, a dream figure but probably will increase but not much and in late September or October will be the sharp drop of the MCO .

You gamble you either lose or win. Im not here to breakeven.

I have a few thousand dollars worth of coins (i can leave now 7-10k up), but im not going too. This is peoples ticket to dream. Call me stupid, call me dumb.. but I see what you are saying, and partially agree. But that being said this still has no known ceiling.

I am worried about buying in too much because the growth we saw over the last two days was basically the result of an MCO bot shovelling tons of money into the process.  If you look at the volume now though, and the growth/retraction pattern... that bot has been shut off.  Now the only thing holding the price up is bagholders.  And if they decide to leave in mass soon, very bad things will happen to the MCO price.

For me its now a good time to buy back because i saw yesterday that monaco has already reach its peak price. Maybe on september the price will bounce back and to continue its peak i know it will grow more when they finally release their own card.

They don't have an official Visa license yet that I know of, but they won't come right out and say one way or another if that's the case, they just mince around about it like:

User via twitter -> 'Will the app have Visa support at launch?'

Kris from Monaco -> 'We don't think it would make sense to launch the app without Visa support'

Currently circulating MCO tokens: 9 million.  Total supply 30.5 million.  The developers / "founders" have their own 'personal supply' that by terms of their ICO, they can't sell until the app launches in a few hours.  That means the supply of MCO tokens will likely triple very soon.  This will almost certainly drive the price way, way down.  Even if they don't release them all at once and just occasionally sell off a few thousand, that will still supress growth substantially over time.

When asked about this, the CEO said 'We won't sell our tokens without consulting with the MCO community'.  Again, a meaningless answer.   Giving someone the finger is technically consulting them.

Since you have such high stakes on the line I think you should be very careful.  Sell most, retain some, be happy with the ridiculous returns you already got (assuming you got into MCO sometime before the latest pump fest).

No worries, I tend to lurk quite a bit myself.   Yes I think selling when you can would be a good decision.  MCO is setting off a lot of red flags with me the more I look into them.  Perhaps a comfortable middle ground would be selling some/most of your holdings and then wait and see.  If it tanks, and you still like MCO, you have your capital to work with.  If it moons, then you still benefit a bit from that.

The channel I was in was 'customer-support'.   So basically the officially stance is 'go away, don't talk about the problem, if you do we will remove it from the record, your life savings don't mean much to us anyways'.

Disappointing... I expected better from the Bittrex people, they're generally pretty good about stuff.  But I guess in the end, whatever is most profitable is really what matters.  If that means conning people out of their savings to make 0.25% off the transactions, so be it.

So if your wrong and the devs were not pumping the coin then it was natural growth and natural retracement.  Which means it was oversold today and remains bullish.  Should see more breakout soon before the app release.

Think it will recover?  The bottoms are trending down now.  I sold half early and will buy it back at the deepest dip I can.  I think it might get down to 370k or so before it finds firm support.

I think it means "i missed the train and trying to buy cheap mco" so that's funny. I will not sell of course. But if you pay 100$ for 1 mco i will think about it.

I think maybe best bet is to sell half of it.  So if it goes down, no big deal, use the realized gains to buy back more MCO for less BTC.  If it goes up, at least you still have half your MCO to profit from, and some wildly pumped gains to enjoy until then.

I just asked around about this on monaco's slack channel to make sure what I'm saying is as technically accurate as possible.

Other users there referred me to previous statements made by the CEO, Kris.  They do have a substantial reserve of tokens but 'won't circulate them without consulting the MCO community'.  That does nothing to ease my concerns, it's a meaningless statement.

I bought 3 at about $14, watched it stagnate at $12 forever, and when it hit $38 or so, I sold 2 and kept one.  Then it kept going (in retrospect, I wish I had just held, but I have a strategy and I'm still refining it).  So I have one for free, and since then have bought, sold, bought again, sold again, and basically could buy another one with the profits if I wanted to.  I'll be selling half the freebie when it hits 615k-625k tomorrow, holding the other, so we'll see.  If it craters, I'll use the 307k to buy another one at cheap rates.  If it doesn't, at least I still have half my coin to profit from.  I'm pretty sure it will drop like a rock.

News is burying the lede here.  The real news is that in about 40 hours, the circulating supply of Monaco is going to go way up.  I'm not sure how many the devs have, but there's 9 million in circulation of 30 million total.  So presumably... 21 million.  Terms of their ICO states they can not sell those coins until the app comes out.   That means on Aug 31st, the value of MCO will drop a lot, probably to half or less, as the devs liquidate their coins.  They'll blame the news and 'a fickle market', but it was really a massive influx of new coins on the market that will do it.

Sell, and then rebuy, and watch it recover (it will, not to current levels, at least not for a long time, but it'll recover a lot from the dump).

It won't be dumped soon. It was earlier $0.75 when I sold it and I had no hope of it reached $25 today but it did due to the high demand. It was $14 few days back and then also people were selling their coins thinking the price would drop but it did not. MCO app is going to be launched within 2 days which means there would be another big pump by 31st.

Hmm well the pump/rally came when I expected it to but it's not hitting the target I thought it would.  I think it's running out of money and can't get through some of the massive sells showing up.   I bet they'll get it stocked up with more BTC before tomorrow night though and run it some more.

Now, with you telling people to sell off and some people scrambling to sell off, somebody's scrambling to accumulate those selloffs...hmm...

in a few minutes it's going to pump again, will probably peak about about 612500 sat, then ebb, idle for about a half hour, then do it again.  I think that pump will peak a little over 650k sat.  Then it'll probably idle, another little mini pump to recover from profit taking, and sit around 650-770 a while before there is a massive dump and it'll drop back down to 580-600 for a while.  After the massive dump there will be a couple mini pumps that get smaller each time, an hour or two of not much, then the whole cycle will repeat.  I think that time it'll peak around 720-750 at maximum pump.  

Better get out a little before max pump though, the very second the devs can sell their coins, they will, and the price will crater.  It has nothing to do with the Aug 31st news or the Monaco app.  No one cares about any of that.

EDIT:  Much of the guess work above was totally wrong.  Timing was right, anticipating the dump was right, but the pump targets: totally wrong.  I think the bot has dwindling reserves of coin to further pump the coin up.  Maybe they'll stock it back up tomorrow.

The price will crater on the 31st.  Buy it back after it does, it'll probably recover a lot of value.  But it's being inflated right now by bots and a dumptruck of money, so that when the devs can sell their coins on the 31st they'll get more for them.
