Isn't this kind of thing sort of illegal because it's considered false advertising? This is pretty because this isn't a new thing and people that do these kind of stupid stuff is getting crafty, I will give them that. Also, why do companies do these? Aren't they that unconfident of their work that they resort to this kind of thing?

I reported to trustpilot:
I think people like OP are the reason most of the scam Ponzi scheme sites I want to report seem difficult to report after looking at their 5 stars review on Trustpilot. This is just another way to promote scam sites " hey you doubt our service?, then look up at Trustpilot for our site reviews " at this point after reading so many good reviews you invest instantly.

Leading Crypto Sports Betting & Casino Platform
We are able to provide reviews for nearly any platform and country.

Reviews are written by our team or the customer. We have worked with dozens of satisfied customers from around the world. We are able to offer verified reviews on websites such as Trustpilot, without any additional charge. Upon request, we are able to dripfeed the reviews over a timespan of up to six months. Every custom request will be charged accordingly.

there are people like me who believed in review of some sites but after I see this I will not believe in any positive review I see on the internet, I will always be suspicious and I will research before using and even after using any internet site, i feel like an idiot when i see this guy talking about this scheme while i believed in some reviews of certain sites. I reported the thread to trustpilot I don't know if there is really anything that the trustpilot can do in relation to these kinds of things.

I reported to trustpilot:

I'm not sure if mods can nuke such user or is it still a global mods job?

I remember reading somewhere that this was the job of a global moderator or administrator

However, I think the best way would be to delete the thread, so that the projects with bad intentions can not buy this service.

the ideal would really be what you said, but unfortunately the scammers must be offering this service in several places on the internet, and he must have been prepared in case he gets banned or deletes the thread, I do not believe he does not know that the thread his would be erased, he must have Plan B

@Bitcoin_Arena, thanks for the clarification Wink

This interested me because I thought some users were intentionally deleting their posts and opening a new account because they got negative feedback - a kind of clean start for them. Yet some things cannot be hidden, I remembered that the user has an alt account, you linked it to ban evading and this is proof of how forum users can be effective in combating such activities.

I just reported this post but the report is still marked as unhandled. Not sure if it's the right way of reporting ban evaders.

I think this is quite the right way, but it still takes time to process such a case - I'm not sure if mods can nuke such user or is it still a global mods job?

Had anyone reported it on meta to take action from the moderator's ends?
I just reported this post but the report is still marked as unhandled. Not sure if it's the right way of reporting ban evaders.

I also report and so far I can see the thread exists. If his thread is open, the owners of the project can buy this service and use it to scam people, although DT members have already tagged many in his profile, so that others may be wary.

However, I think the best way would be to delete the thread, so that the projects with bad intentions can not buy this service.

What I wonder is whether the user deleted all the posts himself or is it maybe practice with those profiles that are nuked?
Usually when an account is Nuked, all the posts and activity points get wiped off unlike the usual temporary or permanent ban where the post history remains intact... so the user didn't delete posts by himself.

Had anyone reported it on meta to take action from the moderator's ends?

Unfortunately the forum does not moderate scam or untrustworthy behavior therefore don't expect any announcement from Theymos or moderators about a ban on such posts or users.
No, but like you said it's a heads-up for DT and other members that this crap is going on (I definitely would have missed it had OP not started this thread) so they can tag him--which I just did.  I can't stand fake reviews, especially since I never know which ones are and which ones are legitimate.  Services like the one that guy apparently offers just screw up the whole rating system on sites like Amazon and other big retailers, and that's a huge problem for people who rely on ratings and reviews.

It's because the account was nuked
Good, hopefully the account OP linked to will be banned--not that it will prevent him from creating another one, but it'll at least make it more difficult for him to keep his scammy business going and give him the message that he's not welcome here.

So the user in question has been evading the ban. Had anyone reported it on meta to take action from the moderator's ends? I have noticed this thread and had asked questions. It seems he is thinking that the service he has been promoting is legal. But he is breaking "Terms of Service" of many platforms like Google & Facebook. Since it's clear that he is breaking forum rules, so breaking other platform rules isn't hard for him, hence I believe this user is harmful to the forum. I have left negative feedback, hope who are encouraged to buy his services will aware of potential risk.

This is a good discovery though because not only is promoting fake reviews but also evading ban. I do hope mods ban this account too

I should have checked BPIP, but I know that user has been active in the Marketplace -> Digital goods for a long time - and I also had a short contact with him when I tried to buy a license for one program and got vouch license that was not valid.

What I wonder is whether the user deleted all the posts himself or is it maybe practice with those profiles that are nuked?

I knew the username from somewhere, and it's actually an alt user account nopolice, who decided to delete all posts after receiving several negative feedbacks. It is probably only a matter of time before one of the DT tags this account, but that does not mean that such activities will be banned on the forum - there are many worse things that of course are not moderated according to the rules of the forum.

As a result, a lot of people will be interested in using the product of that bad purpose project and may face huge losses later. So I think such service providers should not be allowed to sell these services on bitcointalk. This service will help scammers to scam more people.
Unfortunately the forum does not moderate scam or untrustworthy behavior therefore don't expect any announcement from Theymos or moderators about a ban on such posts or users.

However, what can do is leave a negative feedback on such people. Fake reviews = untrustworthy behavior as they even violate lots of policies of different services. Fake reviews = Lies. Liars and scammers aren't any much different when it comes to trust.

This is nothing new. I saw a lot of time before, where some "important" financial services/apps offered a giveaway for writing review. Surely no one will write bad things if he expects some material compensation for it. Every marketing agency uses such a method to boost the trust rating of their clients.
for beginners, it is always difficult to recognize a realistic review.

This user is selling a service that is very risky for normal users. Before using any app or any other website, people consider its rating. And when such service providers are selling fake ratings, reviews, so that even the projects with bad intentions can show their project as a legit project by buying fake ratings and reviews.

As a result, a lot of people will be interested in using the product of that bad purpose project and may face huge losses later. So I think such service providers should not be allowed to sell these services on bitcointalk. This service will help scammers to scam more people.
