This does only apply to people using their bank in japan to fund their account (https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000427883).
But not from outside of japan.

But nonetheless, kraken does not offer GBP withdrawals unfortunately. EUR wire withdrawals are available for a fee of 0.09 €.

Ah, I missed that bit about Japan.

It's always been a problem in the UK that the exchanges can't get a local bank account because of the regulators clamping down on the banks. It'll be interesting to see how it goes with Coinbase as they roll it out. I usually have a look around every few months for new options but I've always ended up going back to LocalBitcoins because it is the best deal for any trade in the few hundred pounds range.

Bank transfer is 1% with minimum fee £50 and minimum transfer £1,000

You were right. That definitely should not be an option.
I somehow missed the 'not less than £ 50'-clause.

There are definitely exchanges with a lower fee (e.g. kraken with just a few cents in €) but for occasional purchases this is quite ok.

Not sure but.... https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000411106

On cex.io the withdrawal fees for GBP are at 1% (https://cex.io/fee-schedule#/tab/payments) which is fine, i'd say. Thats 1,14 £.

That's for buying not selling. https://cex.io/limits-commissions#/direction/withdrawal/currency/GBP
Bank transfer is 1% with minimum fee £50 and minimum transfer £1,000

Although the Visa and Mastercard options might be worthwhile looking into.

IMO using an exchange is safer (and sometimes also cheaper) than using localbitcoins.

I've been using LocalBitcoin since 2013 and never had an issue. I've always been looking for other alternatives but the fees have always made it not worthwhile.

Edit:
Quick comparison. £100 buys 0.0182 @ CEX.IO with Mastercard or Visa and 0.0192 at LocalBitcoin with Faster Payment.

All the exchanges that do have GBP go via a European bank and you get hit for international wire fees and withdrawal fees that make it not worthwhile for £114.

I was using hit btc and they don’t allow withdrawal to a bank account - I had to send back to Coinbase and then transfer to my bank account however Coinbase require a fee to setup the bank account..that’s the only reason lol
Try kraken.com ? I've used them for euro SEPA transactions, and only paid 0.09 EUR fee per transaction. I can't check if they offer GBP withdrawals though, as my internet provider seems to have routing problems at the moment.

According to https://support.kraken.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000382363-Fiat-currencies-available-on-Kraken, Kraken only offers 4 fiats currencies to withdraw to (EUR, USD, JPY and CAD).

But what about cex.io ? They offer GBP withdrawals and are probably more reliable than a random person without a trust rating here.

All the exchanges that do have GBP go via a European bank and you get hit for international wire fees and withdrawal fees that make it not worthwhile for £114. LocalBitcoins is the best option when dealing in small amounts as you can use a free Faster Payments transfer. If the OP doesn't want to use that then there is a fair chance it is to avoid the escrow  Roll Eyes
CoinBase is introducing GBP via Faster Payments but it has only been enabled on a few accounts so far.

Why don't you just use localbitcoins.com? It's safe and people use it everyday to buy and sell Bitcoin.

I use it to sell Bitcoin when I want some cash in my bank account.

I’ve not sold btc on anything other than exchanges so how do we do this?
Is there a reason why you're not just using an exchange again? It's much less risk.

Would like bank transfer only.

Be very careful selling bitcoin online. I would tell you to split it up, and use localbitcoins.com or Craigslist local and do a face to face transaction.

But the better question is why are you selling it so low? What happened to hodling?

Good luck to you.

Sorry I don’t understand? Local bitcoins? I have £114 in btc that I would like to sell..Coinbase is asking me to pay them to connect my bank...I’d prefer to sell them here, or anywhere to be fair..I’ve got a list of retailers who accept it so if I can’t sell them for gbp I’ll jjst spend it 👍 cheers

So you want 114GBP for .229btc, ia that correct? Or is it .0229btc for 114gbp?
