Blazed, not sure if you are following this post or not but I convinced my friend to hold off on selling for at least another year. I'll update this thread again when he's ready and I could look at getting it and some other coins I have graded. I didn't realize the importance of the grading, but it makes sense now that I think about it.

Probably a smart move as the market is really low right now. I would send it to ANACS sometime and that makes pricing much easier.

I will offer 1.75BTC to get things started. I honestly could not give you an estimate on how to price it right now. When coins are graded it becomes a little easier, but the market is sorta slow these days.

Edit: Is that a fingerprint on the left side of the face? I need better pictures for my bid to stand.

I have a friend named John who has been the only owner of this coin aside from me that is willing to sell his original Series 1 Casascius 1BTC 2011 w/error.

I put my name and year on these so scammers don't try to sell based on these pictures on ebay. Not sure if this is recommended or not or if it even matters.

You can find more info about this coin here as he did kind of "register" it to him a long time ago when I told him about this site:
https://casascius.uberbills.com/?address=17GGjBsNKH9VvzJaGxu5BqY3CMS2oMwwhd

It is not graded, but he does absolutely want to sell it. If you want me to set you up with him via email let me know via PM. He might also have a Bitcointalk account, I haven't spoken with him about it yet. I'm not sure if he's going to want to escrow it through me or just give to me to sell it (and perhaps escrow through someone else?) or not yet, we didn't talk much about how best to go about it. I've previously traded with several other people but my last trade was 2015-10-02 with Pistachio.

If someone knows what the last 2011 error coin traded at, I'd be very interested in a link which you can send me via PM as well.
