It's very hard to spot fakes (or "replicas") of these small gold bars as well. The packaging from this manufacturer looks very easy to copy, but yes.. this is way overpriced - nobody will buy it.

He was probably hoping this forum is populated by naive people who don't do their due diligence or have no idea how to use Google search. Why indeed would anyone in their right mind or with a shred of intelligence overpay for something?
Thrice the going price. I'm at a loss for words.
Plus there the risk and chance of it being fake. So much involved time, effort, logistics and cost involved for a gram of gold. Then you have to worry if it's fake or not and have it checked or assayed somewhere by a reputable goldsmith or jeweler. I doubt their services are free.
