hello OtaconEmmerich.

Its costly because my homeland's (Costa rica's colon) currency have less value than the dollar, so, any product here is most expensive than in others part of the world. (and i still have the facture of this product, if you want to see it!).

Oh, i do not know that, about Discovery Kids, the channel what i'm taking about is the spanish version Smiley.

If you got more question feel free to post it!

Have a nice day!

hello, m86!
yeah, it have to work on non-free GNU/Linux distributions like Ubuntu or Mint and Debian, there is the request data:

Code:
Bus 001 Device 005: ID 148f:2870 Ralink Technology, Corp. RT2870 Wireless Adapter

FCC ID is NOI-W423B

have a nice day! Smiley

p.s: this wireless antenna have the basic channels: Channel: USA 11, Europe 13, HBO 14, NBC 15 and Discovery Kids 16
Discovery Kids doesn't exist anymore, It's "The HUB" now. Also why is this adapter so costly? I found the ENUWI-N3 Model for 12$ on Newegg.

It appears to be a Ralink RT2870+RT2820 dongle (or at least that's what my intelligence says), so it should work in Linux. Ralink's drivers are probably a bit better off (minus master mode).. but rt2800usb will also work.

What's the FCC ID of the thing (should be on the back on the label)? What is the output of lsusb?
