Pictures and the serial number would help your post.

Can you post the complete model number of it? That should give us the year it was produced (I think)

I need a new laptop I split a tablespoon of mountain dew into the power port of my old one Sad

A similar thing happened to me with my Macbook Pro but I was eating oil on toast and dropped the damn plate on my keyboard. The oil destroyed most of my keys including the power button.

@killyou73, might not be completely dead, then...

I'm less well versed in repairing apple products as I am other brands, but if you are talking about a 3K USD laptop, odds of being able to repair the damage of a spilled drink seems pretty likely.

I dunno. But if I were you, I'd (even if you aren't interested in trying yourself) taking it into a shop, to have it looked at.

In my country, I found out about a deal where if you are a student and you buy a MacBook, you get free Beats as well as a discount on the laptop. Thus, I am reselling my current laptop, which is a couple months old, and will buy the same model but with the free Beats.

I paid $4250 SGD for it, and am charging $4000 (about $3k USD, and you pay for shipping). It will ship from Singapore.

Specs:

Intel Core i7
16 GB RAM
512 GB Storage

To purchase this, add me on Skype - live:aliaarmelle

Naturally, I would prefer if you lived in Singapore (we can deal face-to-face). If you are highly, highly trusted, I will go first. If you are somewhat trusted, or not trusted, I will not even consider going first.
