Will i get in trouble because my legit coins was bought by a fraudster ?

Sorry if coming across about dim I am very anxious from what I read around !

Absolutely not. Your dealings are with them and no one else. Whatever happens after your transaction with them is their problem.

Yeah I've been reading about coinbase KYC isn't a problem and connecting account id etc that's no problem at all only thing I worry about
As I haven't had to withdraw before, if someone ELSE buying my bitcoins of coinbase and they pay by fraudulent means to get my LEGIT bitcoins from coinbase. Will i get in trouble because my legit coins was bought by a fraudster ?

i also recommend doing KYC, you are not stealing anything, but withdrawing your own money
maybe that will cost you some fees or taxes, but you will sleep peacefully and have your money with you, without it you risk all or nothing

Any advice would be great !!

use coinbase. and withdraw in parts, something like $1000; when your money arrives in your country, then withdraw another $1000, and repeat the same process until you have already withdrawn all your money. Of course with this process you can pay many fees. But at least you will not risk losing all your money if something goes wrong. And do not worry about doing KYC, better make KYC and use a reliable site than using sites that are not reliable just because you do not want to do KYC

I'll check it out thanks for the advice !

Is there a common risk when using sites like localbitcoins. Com regarding unsafe transactions?

Like I said, discount Paypal 100% for P2P sites. Only do that through Coinbase.

As for Localbitcoins, only do the deal through Localbitcoins messaging. Scammers will try to initiate outside the site. Only deal with someone who's been there for years with an absolute mountain of feedback.

I think I'll use localbitcoins and find a trusted buyer in the UK. PayPal isn't really practical anyway for me

I wouldn't bother with anything P2P myself when you have Coinbase now in the UK. They'll do faster payments or you'll be able to withdraw to Paypal. Sell through Coinbase Pro, not Coinbase.

If you don't want to get caught up with them then you could go to a very, very established trader on Localbitcoins but these days they'll probably want more KYC than Coinbase.

This gives you an idea of what you'd get from various sources - http://bittybot.co/uk/sell-bitcoin-uk/

I'd forget Paypal completely unless it's through Coinbase.

So I've accumulated 5800-6000 through trading for the past 2 years. Coming to an end now of me trading and for the first time looking to sell my bitcoins in order to purchase a car and go on holiday (hopefully) I've been doing research on how I would do this and there are a few sites which will allow me to sell bitcoins for bank transfer or PayPal etc.

My only issue is as I know how obviously fraudulent people buy with other people's credit cards.

My point being I don't want to sell my bitcoins after all ym hard work to be bought with a stolen card ! And have a knock on my door as a result!

Does anyone have any recommendations I've never had the reason to sell my bitcoins before and after reading se forums on how people obtain bitcoins worries me alot of being targeted by a fraudster with a fake card.

Any advice would be great !!

Thanks
