I already have a lot of XRP bought at 0.20s and 0.40s. I think it could become a standard means of global cross border transactions. 50billion coins locked up now and If it can capture a decent  % of the global transactions then there’s no limit.

This would be crazy now.

If you get fooled by the current positive altcoin trend, don't forget that this will end once bitcoin starts a new trend. We all know this. The pump in altcoins won't last forever surely.

I agree with you it is bad time to buy ripple, but it depends because we don't know your positions, capital etc.

Madness or not?

When I got into this I said I would not trade, just invest with money I’ve earned and hold through what I think will be an incredible 2018. But I’m now thinking of selling ETH/BTC or LTC to get more XRP. With it breaking the $1 I don’t think it’ll drop below 0.80 now and think the coin has real potential.

Stick to my plan or do 1 trade before Ripple runs away 🤷‍♂️
XRP has maintained the same price for a long time, so you need to be cautious, and I think the gains from holding bitcoin could be higher.

You better think again because bitcoin is way better than XRP but yeah, XRP will continue to pump and a bright future ahead. For me try to put some money, don't sell your bitcoin because it is still a good choice that can make big profit for you in the long run.

Why do you think that it is a good time to buy now?
Based on the history, seems like the price of ripple has been signifincely increased at the last few days, it has been going up even against the bitcoin(and bitcoin went up against fiat by itself).

If the only reason you are interested in buying XRP now is because it recently went up, then you shouldn't do that.
You should be checking if there are any news about the coin the support it's uptrend.

I’m very new to this, under 3 months new infant,  but XRP was the one that cought my eye from the get go. I love this movement,  people controlling their own money and it is the start of the end for the banks in my opinion, however I don’t see them going anywhere soon, hence why I see real potential in this coin. It can cut down 3-5 day expensive transactions to cheap 4 second transactions. If it does what they say it can, and it looks like it can, then it’s a no brainier, it has potential to be the global standard means of payment.

Ok, I’ve just convinced myself writing that paragraph, I may be wrong and come back here in the future and say I was wrong. This game is all a gamble, some you win n some ya lose. See what happens.

For me much better if you have already fund for buying altcoins and having bitcoin to hold for long period of time. But if you feel that xrp will increase the value too much then go the decision is in your hand and dont based on the recommendation by other users.

Well, I think ripple is independent to a certain extent. A few days ago, when bitcoin and every other altcoin was freefalling, the only green coin was ripple. I think this might be one of the indicators that ripple may eventually become very big and challenge btc.

I would gladly do this at the present moment, but I would sell only a portion of my bitcoins for XRP since I will never stop trusting bitcoin. XRP is a coin with enormous potential and the developers seem to be improving it on a regular basis which is a great thing since I don't completely trust them due to they manipulate the market now and then. The ripple community is also a great advantage for this coin and I can see it reaching 5$ by this time next year.

I’m just not sure what BTC is anymore, but I know it’s probably still a great investment and will continue to be. It could reach crazy prices, I have some BTC and I’m happy with that. However, with ripple it has a real world use, it’s solid tech and has potential going into stupid numbers. It’s lightning fast and cheap, it solves a lot of problems in the works, if Ripples XRP is used for even 5% of daily transactions then you’re talking Mars not Moon

Right now it does have a good price to enter into though I would say that is already expensive if you are planning to invest like thousands of coins. Really this should not be a hindrance but rather we can take it as a positive gamble in investing on this coin.

XRP is a great coin with more potential than most other cryptos - but I'd be wary of getting in now. It is often a bad idea to get in after a big price rise. Of course it can rise further, but after any quick rise ends there is usuallly a fall, and the question is if it rises after you buy, will it fall back below your entry point?

I have bitcoin and XRP, and I'm just holding both at the moment. If you want to trade, there are much clearer opportunities than buying XRP now.

wrong, ripple's biggest news is yet to be announced, and it's not on coinbase yet.

Hopefully another crash before end of year so i can buy back into ripple.

There is nothing bad in diversifying ones portfolio, but for me large percentage of my portfolio must be in BTC closely followed by Ethereum, these two have proven they can stand out from the crowd

If someone told you to invest in Litecoin when it was at $0.06, would you have done the same ? Not knowing what the future holds.

You think now is a good time to buy Ripple? It will grow on the background correction of bitcoin? What are the prospects of this coin?
