Everyone recommends hodling but what do you think about selling cryptos at a loss to buy other cryptos for cheap? You might be able to profit from a more volatile altcoin, especially with all the big coins going down for some time now.

But then again, it might be a little late for that, what do you think?
Now is not the time to sell, as the market of coins comes out of the drawdown and shows growth, wait a couple more weeks and see that your coins will also show growth.

ARK, EOS, DRGN and PRG. These are looking confident and quickly growing. I think it rests on what you go for, these are cheap projects and some of these projects have a high chance of booming, PRG and EOS are my Fav among these. They deserve a check.

I think you should look for good projects not cheap coins. These Alts have a very good future in my vision, these projects deserve a research. Do check these out:

THC
ICX
NANO
TAU

Some of them are at good price.

I do agree. Sometimes just holding is not the only option. You might have to let go your investment and suffer a little bit of loss. If you keep on holding your investment, you might miss the opportunity to invest on other coins which might otherwise have given you higher profit than you could have earned with your current investment.
If you arent sure towards into your decision if you would pull out or not then you should not rush up but if the time comes that you do have intuition or do see an opportunity on making money then do this at your own risk.Selling out on a loss and investing into a new coin for potential profits that might even breakeven your loss or even profit you more than on you expect then its already up to you.Making decisions would always vary based into ones experience.

The market is falling and the price is cheap. Do you believe in low prices going back up? If you believe in it, you can buy it at a very cheap price now. And I think you are not too late.

It's absolutely RIGHT decision I think.
The first rule of smart trader - is a risk management. You must know when you have to stop your loss and close  position.

It would probably be a bold move if you do that and the risk is also higher, but it will definitely give you more reasonable profit if you made the right choice on where you would re-invest your capital. In the end it will always be up to you, pretty sure you'll learn something from doing it.

i THINK it depends on whart coins do you have. If they are really bad, you need to sell them to buy some good ones. But if the coins are good, you had better hold them for a long time to earn more money.

that is actually one of other techniques to get profit during this kind of market which is a bearish one, re-investing is a good option specifically for those traders with less potential alts that wants to shift to top alts during those dips.

This isn’t a bad idea but i think it also depends on the coin you are holding right now and its amount. If you think that you can profit from selling it at a loss to purchase a cheaper one, then go but just make sure that the coin you are buying now won’t be another lose. If we take a closer look at the market, almost all coins are down and bitcoin value has a huge influence on that. My move on this situation would to just hodl and wait because soon it will recover. I have taken a huge risk on holding a coin, selling it for a cheaper one would be a much greater risk and i am not willing to take it. But that is just me.

Well, to change Bitcoin or Ethereum to other altcoins is about the same price as it was in December 2017. The ratio the remains. Has fallen not what the one coin, and the entire Market.

It's too late. What will happen if the coin that you have bought it by cut loss your previous investment goes down? That's not good, never try to do that. It may better to hold your amount and then try to sell them when you can minimize your losses rather than put into another coin that still becomes speculation about how the coin will be going to.

If thats your favourite coin why buy other cryptos that is cheaper? Instead sell your coin low now and buy it on lower price it will make you gain more holdings although not in profit ,because someday it will bounce back and youll get out their your extra income. Its my favourite time when the crypto is downtrent especially on sunday afternoon the bitcoin always go down and thats the time other altcoins follow, so i sell it on saturday then wait for the lowest price in sunday or monday, so thats why im able to gain more token.

If you plan to buy coins of such cryptocurrencies as Ethereum or Bitcoin, then I consider it a good idea. Yes, you will risk much more, but you will be able to get significantly higher profits.

I think the holding is really good especially for people who are already rich and not at all worried about the current price of the coin they hold because no matter the price now they do not care because they believe the price will rise with time but if you are not such a person according to I have no problem selling loss to buy another coin

Not recommended what if the  crashes are only bear traps? you need some good confirmations about it before you do anything stupid from the start, normally when the bearish trend will happen most of the people are starting to sell their altcoins to get out fast or else you will get trapped within these coins for months if you are unlucky. But the thing is if you are sure enough that the bearish trend will continue you can immediately sell of your coins and before the bear has come so that you can buyback from the bottom, and you need a technical analysis to perfect that!

The situation can be very unpredictable .. If you succeed in selling and are even luckier and you will buy very cheaply then you will just be very rich Smiley But if you sell your tokens and then they become drunk before you have time to buy something What will you do then?
The choice is always yours! Smiley

i prefer to hold then sell when market down. cause its still have a chance to normal again. and if u sell to buy another altcoin, it can be more loss for u if that coin have a fallin price in market.

I actually did it and I was just like, oh! I am not alone since a lot of people are going crazy about this kind of decission. Grin I am new to trading and that is what really happens when you want to invest in another coin or tokn but yeah as what others said it is too risky as market is so wild nowadays. Doing such thing without timing could result in loss but losing is just a matter of choice of course.

the market is very unpredictable

Yes, it is a risky undertakings for your hardly gets coins to sell it even if you loss to buy any cheaper ones crypto. What's your purpose in doing it? You are just doing worthless investment if you do. We are here in this crypto world to get profit as much as possible that can paid off to all of our effort exerted. So think twice before you decide because it is exactly that market is very unpredictable.

I think that is a very good idea at the moment, but you need to be sure that you can buy cheaper because the market is changing very soon.
It's really a hard decision to make as we don't know what will happen next, each minutes inside crypto exchange creates tensions, so better to have
a lots of knowledge before thinking about dealing with this type of strategy, I already seen some successful stories about traders who deal with cut
and loss or sell and re-buy, but its not for everyone, it's for those who can take the risk and really can understand how to take advantage with certain
situations where they are finding other ways to earned.

I don't agree with you that the price at which I bought my altcoins to btc is better now. Everything is moving together so it'll be better to hodl your coins as they are. Things have changed not like first when btc is falling, alts will be rising. I think it's time to but with fiat and not to change our holdings.

This idea is a good one up to an extent though, no one would predict the coin you are buying would surely rise in price in short period or long. It’s still a strategical risk to be taken. If it comes out to be positive, it’s a good luck and if it’s the other way round, someone would take it responsibly. Thanks

I don't think it is a good idea because high value coins that you have already invested in when their price was up, are more likley to start climbing up again than the other small ones that are cheaper, take bitcoin for example even if it is down at the moment when it goes up it goes up by 100 $ or 400$ a day but the other ones it might take them days, weeks or even years to change to 1$.

Well, holding is better in general. But, in the current market situation, when the price has been dropping almost daily, it would be better to sell your coins for a small loss and buy later when the price dips even further. If you have got additional funds then you can continue to invest and follow this strategy for some time until the market stabilizes.

It all comes with a risk cause you didn't even know how long we're going to experience the cryptocurrency bloodbath and bearish market in the present, some people were going to wait how further the crash it will attain before buying again and that would be the favorable deal to take advantage while others are mourning from their losses and wrong choices, in the end, it's all up to you how are you going to react from the current market condition.

Because you could fall as tokens purchased at lower prices.

It is possible and can give you fast profit, but if you want start try this way you must have nerves of steel, because it is very risky.

Now market is red, people are plagued in sadness, and can only wait when market start growing. Take it into consideration, nobody wants to risk more, especially now when their wallets are reduced by x%

It's actually not a loss until you sell it. It's very much like stocks, if you HODL and prices recover then you've lost nothing. Think of what happened to Costco stock after the Whole Foods announcement.

It doesn't make any sense at all, if you are thinking that you could make profits out of that, then you are insane, don't you think that you could even lose more if you do that, because look, you don't know the future of the coin that you are holding and if you are going to sell it to buy other cryptocurrencies at cheap price then it is just the same, you are just going to regret if the coins that you have sold pump up so high than the price of the token you bought for that.

I think it's too risky to do that. If we sell coins today and bought coins at low price we can't know if it will go up. If thr scenario becomes bad we will only lose more or ending up in bad situation. If you want to take risk then you can do it but prepare yourself for whatever happens.

i think it is not a good idea , because we do not know how market will react for the future days , so if you sell and dont have a profit with it to have a coin you will hold and sell in the future in the first place you have negative income instead of waiting to recover your present coin and earn some profit .

Depends just how much you're losing and if you think where you re-invest will profit, of course. So it's all easier said than done but it can still work out.

The more volatile altcoins might profit faster than the top ones.

i experience that too when i'm newbie because i buy gas, strat, lun in binance then ethereum in mercatox and i lose 25% in this four like i sell this four to buy aion and holding some btc then buy again every drop

i think if you going to buy or you going to invest here go for btc, eth, bch, neo, bnb and bch because they already have value in market like they can go low but still they will be back to their current high price so you only buy and sell with no lose

Yeah I think if you buy those top coins low and hodl for a while, they'll be safe to hodl and will increase in value.

Now to sell some coins and buy other it is risky. If you decide to sell your coins then I recommend that you keep the Fiat. When you see that the market has started to turn green, you will choose a more promising coin. It seems to me that not all coins will endure this crisis. Why would you put yourself at additional risk?

It's a very risky deal but I have done it in the past to try to minimize my risks. When the market hit ATH (I wasn't so experienced with the market as I am now), I ended up buying around $10k worth of TRX. After that, the price started crashing badly. After weeks of being worried, I ended up selling more than half of my TRX amount and decided to purchase other cryptos in order to diversify my portfolio and try to get other alts at a cheaper price.

I haven't regretted ever since although I'm still at a loss. But once the market starts recovering, it will probably have been a good deal diversifying a little my portfolio rather than having loads of TRX.

It all depends really if you are willing to accept the risks and losses but it won't be an easy task seeing your losses get worse in case you don't make the right choices on the alts your switching too.
