Indian government are strict with the bitcoin and they have surveyed recently the Indian exchanges and now will issue notices. So for sure your this deal of land with btc will never happen. Your property itself of sale agreement will not happen other than INR.

So better you sell it in INR and then purchase the btc from exchanges.

As I said that I am Non Residence Indian, so converting BTC will not be an issue. This is the advantage of BTC that I can sell land in BTC and directly covert it in the currency I want to use. There are many ways to transfer ownership of land, Lawyer will handle that issue.

Hi All,

I am selling a residential plot in Sonipat, Haryana( India) and accepting payments in Bitcoin. For more details about the property please contact [email protected]  or Visit : Website

Payment will only be asked once the buyer is satisfied with the plot and want to make a deal.

Why would someone transact with you when Indian law states:

A foreign national of non-Indian origin, resident outside India cannot purchase any immovable property in India unless such property is acquired by way of inheritance from a person who was resident in India. However, he/she can acquire or transfer immovable property in India, on lease, not exceeding five years.

You should acquaint yourself with the law before making an offer to sell an immovable property because India has strict contract and property laws, especially for transactions involving non-Indians, PIOs and NRIs.

I suggest you edit your post and clearly mention that you are selling the property to anyone who holds Indian citizenship.

I am aware with that law but there are many Indians who are foreign citizens but their spouse, parents or relatives are Indian and they would like to invest in India through them, that's why I am not changing this to specifically Indian Citizens.

This looks like a scam to me... There are not many people who will fall for this in this forum.

What is scam in this? I am not asking for advance payment, so why you think it is a scam? All the formalities will be done after meeting with proper paperwork. Being skeptical is good but being illogical skeptic is not.
Sure, but as I know indian authorities are strictly against bitcoin, I dont beleive they will let someone to own a land bought by bitccoin. Correct me if I am wrong, but how a buyer may be sure that police will be loyal to him in future

The ownership will be transferred with other means on paper like gift with consultation with Lawyer. I know Indian authorities are strict but I am NRI and can covert Bitcoins to INR easily.

there are no. of property scams increased in India. Can you post Land images here

i would like to suggest you to post this topic in indian section for beter response

Just to be clear, I am selling residential plot not buying. To convert bitcoins to INR is my problem but the land's ownership will be transferred on official government documents. I am a Non Residential Indian but my Parents live in India and they will do all the transaction, I will also fly if I have to. It is just land, I have posted the map of the project, If anyone interested in buying, more details will be shared with the plot number and exact address. If anyone wants to see the property, that can also be arranged.

PS: I have also posted in Indian Section but just to be sure on my side that I can as many people as possible, I have posted here as well, may be there are some Indians or Indians with Foreign citizenship will also see advert here.
