Got it sorted.

Upgraded core to v0.21.0.
Then a clean install of 0.96.4 (never got 0.96.5 working)
Then imported wallet.

I let Armory operate Bitcoin Core
I put in Bitcoin and Intstall home directory (both the same) I have an external drive setup for Core.

Then it downloaded database and began to scan transactions and after about 12-18 hours was all up a running!

Good luck if you are stuck!

Without the logs, replies will be as good as 'guesses'.

If you're using the old version before, you might need to rebuild the database, it wont use any bandwidth but will take some time.
It might also be an issue with "zombie armorydb" in your background processes before you opened Armory, a simple solution in this case is to restart your PC.

But it's best to check the logs.

I have upgraded now to very latest v0.96.5 and BTC v0.21.0

Node status is written in solid black and the bar next to it is full green
"Build databases" is in grey and the bar next to it full green. The spinner next to it is not moving
"Scanning Transaction History! is in solid black and the bar next to it is totally empty (all grey and no green)

Nothing at all seems to be happening, no spinner is spinning nor any progress bars filling up!
It appear to be stuck

Help please!
Please!!

Have you upgraded Armory as well?

Does anybody have any thoughts?
Pasting the armorylog.txt contents should provide a decent amount of info about the actual issue, censor the parts that you don't want to share.
It's frequently requested by goatpig anyways.

Thanks for the suggestion.

However, it has now been stuck on "Scanning Transaction History" for half a day now at 99% complete and only 1 second remaining...
Hmm

I am reluctant to stop it at this point but I fear nothing may be happening?

Also if update to latest core client will that mean it has to download the whole blockchain again or will it just use the existing datafiles?

Cheers for any info.
There's shouldn't be any problem since the blocks data haven't changed, at worst, Bitcoin Core will likely need to upgrade the database that will take hours->days.
The release notes also mentioned about support for older versions: https://bitcoincore.org/en/releases/0.21.0/ (go to "How to upgrade")

Gents,

I have an Armory wallet and was trying to send coins out of it last night but when I click the "Send Bitcoin" (in the top left quarter of the dashboard) then nothing happens at all and I cannot send any coins.

I am using 0.96.4-beta-fee1f91a31 and using Bitcoin Core version V0.16.0 (all fully synced).

It is a very long time since I received any coin in my wallet (2016) and I don't think I have ever sent any!

I looked at this or another forum and someone had the same issue (not sure if same version(s)) and said that after a "Rebuild and Rescan databases" his send button began to work again. I have done this and it is now "Scanning Transaction History" and says it will be ready in 12 hours so I guess I will see then...

Do you think once done the send button should start working again? I hope so!

If not the what course of action would anyone recommend so that I can be in a position to send my bitcoins out of the wallet.

I guess I could always sweep the private keys into wherever I wish to move the BTC to, but I think it would be nicer just to send them as a lot of exchanges will not accept private keys as such and I would like to transfer smaller amounts of coin than sits on each of the addresses in the wallet.

Thank you kindly for any help or suggestions.
