I have tried sending crypto via telegram sometime last year but it wasn't successful. I don't if they have been able to get it working with the recent telegram upgrade.
I think that this is going to be the next trend in the crypto market for which these messaging apps aside from Telegram, they're all going to be adopted being a wallet and it's going to make the transactions easier because anyone can send any crypto that they support from the sending user to other receiving users. This is going to make things really quicker and easier and it's just a send away but they're going to act as custodial wallets.

Has anyone sent Toncoin through Telegram? Does anyone have any real experience with this new system? If anyone has real experience, it would be good to share it here. Because I think a lot of people have a lot of questions about this new system. As mentioned in the tweet, no address will be required, then how will this transaction occur?

What if the telegram account is being hack or being compromised, maybe sometimes you were login to a web and refuses to logout another user got to know about token that same account won't it be sent out without your noticed?
Ton wallet/bot is a custodial wallet, it tied your Telegram ID into the bot of the wallet. So, in any way your Telegram account is compromised, and the attackers found out you are using the bot, then they surely have the capability to empty out the funds.

So, you have to guard your Telegram account securely. Enable the 2FA, local passcode, etc. Besides it is custodial, the whole thing doesn't offer great security, IMO.

Probably need more information about how the transactions are happening,if it can be done without internet then its offline transaction which can't be considered as a transaction is completed until we get enough confirmation which happens only when the transaction is broadcasted into the network and data enters the blocks and moved.

Literally you can send BTC with only email address of someone but this is only for transacting between the coinbase wallet app and these are not real transaction, just a numberical data change though.
Transactions done off-chain or simply in between platform accounts was never been considered to be a tx which does have confirmation since these are internal then its just really those typical
situations but crossing into other services/platforms or simply a wallet then it is really needed to be broadcasted. I dont see for some relevance or truth about sending crypto through
Telegram. If there would be some sort of command then it would be on online or attaching a particular wallet once you do request it out.It cant be possible for having stand-alone.

Does it mean one need no address to receive Ton after being sent to your telegram?

The decentralized blockchain Telegram Open Network (TON) announced this week that it will add a bot that will allow more than 550 million users to send cryptocurrency to other users via chat.  The initial launch of the “wallet” bot will enable the sending and receiving of Toncoins, In the process, Telegram handed over control of TON and Toncoin which is now the 205th largest cryptocurrency according to CoinMarketCap.com with a value of US$2.83 billion to The Open Network, an open source community dedicated to developing Toncoin and related blockchains.
This is One good thing for crypto users specially those telegram users , but the problem is?  telegram since then being mentioned as a place where scammers uses because the whole conversation can be deleted and no one can recovered the conversation, though I don't see any problem from this (and also Facebook messenger has this option now Unsending the Message)
But let's see how this can help the crypto users as TON seems to be a legit currency and can be used as this transaction ,
Telegram's renowned features are encrypted chat and messages. This leads to a lot of scammers thinking they can get away with their crimes if they use Telegram to communicate with victims. The encrypted chat feature only turns on if people agree beforehand, their chat and messages will be encrypted and Telegram will not able to access or know that kind of content in there. Other than that, Telegram is just a normal chat app like any similar chat app out there. Telegram Open Network (TON) as the name state, was backed by Telegram before but Telegram withdrew from the project. I think if they are now reunited as the news implied, strong chance Telegram can access TON users' information from the app easily. This allows them to take care of any scammers targeting TON users or abusing the app with TON 'wallet' bot.
So this is a 2 way issue ? and what do you think is the best approach for Us users if crypto to wanted to use this feature?
because Like what you said indeed that it is a scammers place and how could we help this situation to favor all of us?
But maybe I will pass for this as now , and wait for the clarification of everyone if this is same and this is worth a trust .

It's a new system and most people don't know about it. As a result, we will naturally have many questions about it. Like how does it work? How safe is sending  cryptocurrency like this? If the person who will receive the crypto refuses and deletes the telegram chat, then what do we have to prove?

Your words are correct, and asking questions is normal. I think if the systems are authentic then there will be more publicity about it and people will know how reliable it is. Although I still can't quite trust it. I still have a lot of questions and a lot to know. So I will not advise anyone to use this system yet

It's only TON coin since it's the native crypto of Telegram. Just as the exchanges work for those off chain transactions, they might adopt that technology and that's the one that they'll use.
But it's actually good if they'll be able to adopt this feature but, I'm sure that many will agree to it that it's just going to be another centralized wallet/platform.

I have a question about the authenticity of using Telegram bot to send cryptocurrencies .I think it is not that much safe because there are lots of scamer coming out who use telegram bot for scaming. From my opinion I will say that  avoid these kinds of system and use these kinds of wallet Where there is no access to third parties
about the authenticity of the bot you just need to check it, the real bot has a blue check mark while the scammer bot doesn't have it and the original bot you can find on the official website ton.org.

If you want to be more secure and worried when using a wallet with tons of wallets, you can switch to a hardware wallet, because a hardware wallet is a wallet that you own and you have the key and will be safer from scammers.

I'm fine with my current non custodial wallet and I didn't feel it's a problem to enter long wallet address, so I guess there's no purpose I would use Telegram as my wallet. There are so many hack events on Telegram because someone can easily send malware and got downloaded if they're clicking random link. I don't think there's so much demand to create a new wallet when we have so many wallets around us now.

Even if that were true, I still wouldn't use a third party to send BTC to any address. Can't we simplify direct delivery instead of using other alternatives? Obviously, this action can raise suspicion. Even though it was announced by @ton_blockchain though I would prefer to send it directly. This is not a good alternative if the telegram bot has such a service.

There are some ''facilities'' that I sometimes can't understand what they're made for, but maybe it's a matter of the type of users. Sending crypto via wallet is extremely easy now, it's just two clicks. Even in the case of whatsapp payments, the traditional payment system is also super easy, even too easy I think. Then I wonder what is the need/utility of these payments integrated into applications. Perhaps they even have more negative than positive externalities.

For the first two replies above, the telegram feature is pertaining its very own coin the TON coin. You cant save/store bitcoin or any crypto in telegram (idk if it will be a feature in the future) but you can buy and send it to btc address.

About its reputation, nothing yet i guess, but well, as long you used and trust telegram with your private messages, then probably you will too to the coin. About its' scalability, idk, it's still on its early phase. Check https://ton.org/

To access the feature, users first need to opt in via Telegram’s official Wallet Bot, which allows them to purchase cryptocurrency by bank card, exchange and transfer to other wallets. According to the company, they can then send Bitcoin (BTC) or Toncoin to other users by clicking on the “Wallet” icon in direct messages.

So it's about sending Toncoins, or purchasing BTC through the app and then sending the BTC to the user wallet if one has a registered bitcoin address. I don't understand why would you use a bot to do so when you can send your BTC directly from your wallet to an address you agree with your partner., probably when it comes to BTC you're going to either have to pay a USD invoice for the exchange, basically buying BTC in your friends' name, or allow the app to have access to your wallet, which is;t the smartest thing to do in my opinion.

I can see the utility for a tipping feature when you just want to spend a small amount as you tip random users but no way I would use this to send larger sums to somebody.

Honestly I don't understand how to send crypto via telegram, but I know telegram has been a crypto partner for a long time, in fact their relationship is going very well until now, but I try to browse some articles they say they launched an innovative feature, which allows a faster, safer way and practical, if telegram does launch crypto payments via telegram, this is very easy for us, just one press, I will find out this easy way.

I'm not sure how does it works that you can send cryptocurrency through Telegram or how their projects work but I don't trust sending my Bitcoin to any third party app whether it is in Telegram or other kind of app, for me I still choose to store my Bitcoin to hardware wallet and do the transaction on it.

I am not sure about the reputation of that project but I wouldn't definitely sending my coins there.

I don’t know how it works, but if you need to send your bitcoins to the address indicated by the bot before paying, then this is a custodial wallet. "not your keys, not your money"
The most pro-polar token for settlements between people is TRC20USDT, if you need anonymity, then this is Monero. For quick calculations, it is better to choose other coins.

Telegram, one of the trending apps today, with millions of users interacting with each other every month, is quite useful for the tools and security it offers.

I usually use telegram to be in various BTC groups and have various notification bots on various platforms. That is why a recent tweet from @ton_blockchain caught my attention, where he commented on payments in cryptocurrencies through Toncoin (TON)

I will test how effective the bot is, and see if it meets my expectations, draws attention, what do you think?
