Just wondering what happens if you send your Breez wallet more than 0.04 BTC, as it says to send "up to" that amount.

After re-reading wiki which updated on late 2020[1], looks like it'll trigger refund if the channel utilize Submarine Swaps. Nevertheless, i agree with @LoyceV that you shouldn't try to find out.

Breez is non-custodial LN wallet
I haven't used Breez, but I've used Phoenix Wallet. In Phoenix, opening the channel is custodial, but after that the channel itself is non-custodial. If you're funding Breez by sending Bitcoin to an on-chain address, I assume the same applies.

Re-reading at the wiki[2-4], looks like it's true.

By default, Lightning payments are capped at around 0.043 BTC. That is probably what they are calling "channel capacity limit". On a side note, this limitation does not apply to wumbo channels.

Sorry, I should have said: sending >0.04 BTC to the bc1 bitcoin address that Breez creates in order to set up the lightning wallet.
I guess you shouldn't try to find out Tongue

I assume that it's not possible for a (layer 1) bitcoin transaction to fail / be ignored by nodes and minors because of the btc amount relating to a specific address.

Wasn't able to find out what they do / what happens / doesn't happen if you send more than 0.04 BTC to it, as I didn't see it mentioned on their FAQ page.

Can someone tell Putin to sell his gold for btc? Thanks.
