Whew
For various different reasons, sometimes transactions are not broadcast to the network when they are made. However, your wallet will believe they were sent.

If you replace your current wallet with the backup and restart your client with the -rescan tag, your wallet will scan the blockchain to determine what coins are assigned to its' address.

If that does not work use pywallet to force delete all the transactions in your wallet, then restart the client with the -rescan tag.

Seems like the last block found was about 30 minutes ago..

http://ltc.block-explorer.com/

Try to search your address there and see how the transaction looks.

Here is another blockchain explorer

Running an encrypted wallet that is up-to-date with the verseion available on litecoin.org.

Any suggestions?

I have a wallet.dat from about 2 weeks ago that is obviously out of date.  What would happen if I replace my current wallet.dat with the backup copy from 2 weeks ago?

you would lose all of your ltc?

Would my wallet show the amount of LTC that I had at the time of the backup?  That's dumb...

Try running litecoin qt with rescan flag:
litecoin-qt.exe -rescan

Did this, nothing changed.
