Ok thank you so much! I was able to go there and see that they are there, I will deal with retrieving them after a night of sleep haha don't want to make the same mistake again.  Thanks again!

I am almost sure that you can recover it by importing your private key in a Omni supported wallet, since its chain is build on top of the Bitcoin blockchain - just like with Counterparty, where I already made the same issue as you.

  • 1. Go to https://www.omniwallet.org and click 'Create a New Wallet' (or log into a wallet you have already created).
  • 2. Once you have logged into your wallet go to the 'My Address' page and click the 'Add Address' button and select 'Import Address with Private Key'.
  • 3. Enter the private key you exported from your other wallet/source and in a few moments that address should be added to your wallet and displayed in the list below giving you access to your BTC and any Omni Protocol Properties on that address.

Apparently MAIDSAFE is a token and can be stored on any Bitcoin address that you have the private keys for. It seems that you will need to try using https://www.omniwallet.org/ to regain access to the tokens.

This involves importing that Electrum private key into Omniwallet... Undecided

You can try checking your Electrum address at https://omniexplorer.info/default.aspx and double check if your MAIDSAFE was successfully transfered to that address

If I understand correctly though, btc addresses can accept maidsafe though can they not? Mine did accept it, it is just showing up improperly, so it appears to be stored there.  But as to the interface that would allow me to see it correctly or withdraw it, that would be where I would be out of my depth.  Does anybody have any insight on that?

Anybody able to give any help/advice/Jack Daniels to drown my sorrows?
Yes, dump her ass for being annoying you and making you lose your money. You sent the wrong type of crypto to the Electrum wallet, they always say not to transfer the wrong crypto or it will be lost. And I thought Electrum is only for BTC?

Unsure of where to post this as I just joined and the searching was limited to once every 90 seconds so I hope this is the right area.  I was transferring my maidsafe coins out of poloniex and my girlfriend was talking to me and as much as I tried to tell her I needed to concentrate, ultimately I accidentally sent maidsafe coins, a little over 4,000 of them to my electrum btc wallet.  They arrived in the wallet, well at least the transaction took place, but it is showing as only .027 mbtc which is the same amount as the test send that I did right before it which was only 11 maidsafe coins(1 after poloniex fees)  After I saw that my stomach dropped and I realized what I had done.  Is there any way to recover this? I am assuming they are still on the block and can be retrieved, but I have no idea how to do that, it's a bit above my head atm.  Anybody able to give any help/advice/Jack Daniels to drown my sorrows?
