Kraken and tether both are reliable as it is renowned, so if this transaction happen successfully, there shouldn't be any issue regarding any loss or con. Also, verifying the correct address is also important, otherwise there wouldn't be the coins to blame.

I didn't have any experience on sending USDT to other exchanges. This is the first that I've heard doing that. I hope to see this transaction go through.

Since kraken allows you to deposit tether, there shouldn't be an issue. If the transaction doesn't usually take this long and you haven't been notifed about any failed transactions it is best to contact technical support and wait for their response in these situations as they will be able to help more properly on this matter.

Somewhat weird that they didn't approve your withdrawal because it was from a new IP and to a new address.
I wonder how they handle this stuff if someones moves a few 100 km's and uses new deposit addresses (never allowed to withdraw again? Cheesy)

I hope your next withdrawal won't get rejected after being on hold for multiple hours.

Such security measurements can be somewhat annoying, but serve the overall security of each customer.

Thank you for getting in touch! Our systems detected a withdrawal from your account from an unfamiliar IP address to a new address.

Given these circumstances, we have credited these funds back to your account. You may attempt withdrawal again from a familiar IP address or to a previously used wallet address so we can confirm the transaction.

Let us know when you've initiated the withdrawal and we will work to verify it as quickly as possible. Thanks for understanding!

We appreciate your patience as we worked to review your case.

Best,
Poloniex Support Team

Thank you for your awnsers.

Kraken told me this should be possible.
And Poloniex awsered the following:

Thanks for reaching out.

An agent will either approve or contact you about your withdrawal shortly.

The awaiting approval status is a security measure to allow a security agent to review and approve the transaction manually. This is necessary in some cases depending on how secure your account is.

As a general note, please do not withdrawal from your Poloniex account to timed addresses as you may lose your coins permanently if the destination address expires and the recipient cannot send the coins back to your deposit address.

Best,
Poloniex Support Team

I assume I got nothing to worry about.

I would assume there are coins in kraken that you wanna buy that isn't found in polo which made you send these usdt?
I never really thought we could send USDT outside an exchange. This is the first that I've heard doing that, normally we directly send coins not pegged with USD. I hope to see this transaction go through.

Just like any coin it should be possible to transfer it. However I dont understand why it takes so long for poloniex to approve.

If it could be done then why not. I'm not sure if anyone had developed it already but probably a good thing to also create a wallet for USDT, TUSD and GUSD in case someone doesn't trust exchanges to keep it on them. Desktop wallet or probably just a mobile app. This can be a good tool to meet up and buy from localbitcoins. Let us know how it goes.

Since Kraken is utilizing the omni protocol for Tether, I asume this would be a correct transfer. Could I be wrong?

Since you can deposit tether to kraken, this shouldn't be an issue.

But this implies that you have used a USDT deposit address (not a BTC deposit address). Can you verify that you have used the correct address?

Does poloniex say the transaction has been successfully sent? Did you get a transaction ID ? If so, check it on a block explorer (https://omniexplorer.info/).
Depending on the status of your transaction, you'll have to contact either poloniex or kraken.

If the transaction has been sent and confirmed successfully: Contact Kraken.
If the TX has NOT been sent, contact Poloniex.

Thank you for your awnser! I have used an USDT-Tether deposit adress.

Poloniex says: ''Awaiting Approval''. (at withdraw history) So I cant find any activity on omniexplorer.

I already opened a ticket at Poloniex, they havent answered yet unfortunately.

Is it possible to sent USDT- Tether from Poloniex to Kraken?

I did sent something and it is waiting for approvel for hours now.

Poloniex is warning you with the following sentence: "IMPORTANT: Do not send Tether USD anywhere unless you are certain the destination supports Omni transactions. If it does not, you could permanently lose access to your coins."

I didn't have any experience on sending USDT to other exchanges but if we can do this then we can use tether as a payment method because it is not so volatile?
