How many pieces exist?

I believe it was 100 and I was just poking fun at your valuations Smiley in the end what we think matters not, what matters is how people vote with their wallet - if they will buy it, then it was worth it. I just would love to get entry prices instead of the starting price being what the 5th or 6th resale would normally be.

I agree that this piece took a lot of time to create.  I think this piece is great and is probabky 2-3x undervalued. I was just poking fun of your valuations of items 😄.

The Sentinel is a truly special collectible that cannot be compared to a coin. Anyone who doesn't have one should buy it soon. It's a truly unique collectible, very heavy, robust, large, and unlike anything you can find in the collectibles market. It is highly recommended to acquire one, it is truly special  Wink

Did you figure out how to replace the glass? Any left?  Also, what is the secret code to keep them from growing so large? I can now use mine to fight the large iguana and wild boar in the backyard. Grin Have a nice day!!!

I'll send you more updates as the bar continues to grow.  Cheesy

That piece looks familiar. 👀

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  Love the pic!

Still working on the glass issue, another group member is really helping me out with some different testing options.

Yes, I do have some still available but only the fully completed version. All the DIY ones I had have been sold. I will update if we come to a solution and can offer more DIY.

As far as the growth it seems you’ve been feeding it well  Grin  Good luck with large Iguanas!

This sentinel has surprised me, it is really a large, unique and incredible piece Cheesy
In person it impresses much more. I recommend to longtime collectors to purchase a piece for their collection.

Just received the sentinel bitcoin collectable. Well packaged. Prompt shipping. This thing is large! Very heavy.
I haven’t seen anything else like it.

Quality of item I would say is 7/8 out of 10. Could use a bit more refinement, you can see the cutter marks on the outer polished bezel. Something I’m sure will be refined on future releases.

I see this was shipped from the USA. Are these 100% American sourced?

They have nice laminated COA, a nice bag to protect it. Overall unique collectable I’m happy to have a part of my collection.

Looking forward to seeing what you produce in the future!

Great item, prompt responses from sentinel.

Thanks for the feedback I always appreciate it!

Yes, to my knowledge all companies ordered from are US based. The CNC company for the metal does have locations around the world as well though.

I definitely wouldnt break any more of them open. I think they will sell with address. Will just take some time. I think its a great piece and over time will prove itself. Just came to market at a bad time with btc down. I can tell a lot of time and work went into them. I think they're great. They will sell, just keep marketing.

Thank you for the compliments and support I really appreciate it.

Have you tried any method using dry ice? I know some adhesives break down easily with oils like wd-40 and some stuff called Aero Kroil. Good luck! Wallets look nice!

Thank you I appreciate the compliment. Also, I have not tried or thought of dry ice. That is very interesting and I will look into it. Thanks for the tips and input as well.

is it possible to re-machine that surface maybe only going .0001 deeper on the cut to remove the epoxy/glass? This bodes well to show that once assembled not a simple matter to take it apart and then reassemble.

Yes that definitely sounds like it would work. The problem with that is I had the metal pieces made by a manufacturer so I don’t personally have the CNC to re-machine them. Appreciate the input.

Ahh ok

Could you use a dremel/drill bit to take the glass out?

I tried a dremel but the problem is anything super abrasive will damage the metal underneath and that essentially ruins the look of the piece as well. I have tried many different solutions to dissolve the glue but none have worked.

What about heating it up with a torch or in the oven/kiln?

I briefly tried a torch and it didn't seem to do much. I could explore that a bit more but was mainly concerned about discoloration in the metal due to the flame or heat.

SENTINEL BITCOIN Update/Transparency Post

Hello, this is an update post on the status of Sentinel Bitcoin. I originally posted these pieces for sale as a fully completed art piece/functioning wallet for a small amount to grow in over time if the buyer wished to do so. After the post it was clear that the market was for DIY due to the safety of key creation. Maybe being a little too anxious I had already fully assembled all the wallets before listing them for sale. After the feedback I had made the decision to try to convert them back to DIY. The problem with this was that the majority of the attempts resulted in a chunk of glass in one of the corners that is extremely difficult to remove without fully damaging the piece. All these pieces are now unusable unless I find a solution. (See example pictures below).

I would love to continue making these and offer different designs as DIY pieces only but I am at a standstill with this set for now. I don't think it will be possible to convert this set back to DIY so I plan to continue selling them as the fully completed version. If successful I will move forward with DIY pieces only. If anyone is interested in a completed version please PM me. These were created with safety as a top priority using open source code and offline devices.

If anyone has advice or suggestions on anything in this post please PM me.

With all that being said, I do have two pieces that were successfully converted back to a DIY option. The pictures below are of the actual pieces. If anyone is interested in them please PM me. Each piece will come with a piece of glass for the back, a fresh hologram sticker, a COA, a bag, and upon request I can print a QR code sticker for a buyer supplied public address.
