The price of bitcoin is inflated up to 4600$ and I believe it to hike to the milestone 5000$ in the upcoming September. It will continue to rise like this bringing new surprises for the bitcoin holders...
its really an amazing move and like we have speculate before that before ending this august bitcoin will pass 4500$ and its really moving up maybe
September would be a deciding month for bitcoiners to keep holding till the next year no matter what will happen to its value.
5000$ USD soon to hit take a gander at the market. Market is demonstrating their best part so individuals are coming to put there wage into bitcoin like that bitcoin is going high so what would we be able to state that. Bitcoin will reach to 10,000USD soon in the closure of year. So I might want to state that we should need to have faith in bitcoin and have confidence in 10,000USD.

Since August was all about highs, September is the month we should be cautious with trades. Kinda expecting a significant crash sometime this month. It's always better to be prepared.

Yeah right bitcoin will crash to $5000 this month  and will be  trading above it.  There is no reason for Bitcoin to crash, the update last Aug. 1 were successfully implemented even though it created a fork.  I cannot read any incident that will crash Bitcoin price if you have some then kindly show us the possible reason why Bitcoin will crash this September.
The segwit activation did not caused the fork, everything was settled and then out of nowhere some rogue miners decide they were going to create their own coin, those miners think that if something have bitcoin in their name it is going to become valuable and as far as I can see it seems their play worked more or less since their coin is still trading at good prices.

Fall is hardly going to happen now. When the price is in bubble, it usually shoots up and then suddenly drops. While Bitcoin has been maintaining $4100-$4400 price range from quite a time now with small fluctuations. This shows all the growth was natural and will continue as well. In September, Bitcoin can easily touch $5000.

Correct! I don't think this is a bubble, the price has been climbing steadily for a long time now whilst stopping off with little dumps & then continuing the upwards movement.

I don't think the price is going up with enough volatility to be called a bubble.
Bubble have many type, a bubble in few years or even several decades still have on marketplace. Do you think the value of an asset had increased x300,000 like Bitcoin from 2009 until today cannot call is bubble?

I get the impression that bitcoin is becoming more resilient the older it gets. It has fought off a handful of crashes with the MSM then writting it off everytime to then see it come back stronger. Bitcoin has had a hell of a year in 2017 and seen highs I never imagined would happen. Right now I am sat here with my new funds for a 2nd sizable batch of bitcoin to add to my wallet.

It has been weeks now and not all that much has been happening, I was expecting a bit of a fall in price after so much of a gain. I cannot help thinking that there are quite a few people right now thinking the same, many are wanting to jump in. Looks like I am not going to get my fall, which is OK, but looks like I might have to buy in again when prices rise say 5% to 8% in the next few weeks.

I have told myself that whatever gains I make in the next year I will match it with money I have elsewhere to the point of Bitcoin being 20% of my investments, no more. Rule of thumb for me past decade has been risky investments no more that 15%, and that's high for me.

It will be interesting anyway. And you act responsible for your assets, that's good. I think October will be much more dangerous than september. And November will be the most important month of 2017 probably. We'll see bitcoin hard fork.

I think it's better to buy anyway, as Bitcoin will rise

It's a good idea to buy more Bitcoins because the value will grow higher no matter the price. It is only a matter of time for Bitcoin to reach $10k.

It is very obvious that things have calmed down a bit and this is good since now we can acquire bitcoin without the worry if it is going to be even higher the next day, I think this is due to the fact that people are now worried about what it may happen with segwit2x.

i don't know what he means and probably he is just saying what he wishes to happen not what he speculates.

so far the only thing that has the remote possibility of causing any price drop is the hard fork of SegWit2x which is scheduled for later this year. and depending on what happens a month before its due date there can be the same market as it was before August 1st (back in July).

If the current trend will not change in September we will see rising prices. I don't expect bitcoin to grow continuously. I don't need it. For me it is enough that bitcoin will live on and will become an important instrument in the struggle for their rights.

Prices are confired that it will reach to 6000USD in sep while in the ending of month it will reach to 10,000 USd so i would like to say that we should see that happens with our eyes even blind people can feel the power bitcoin too so lets hope for the best because bitcoin is coming to change your life if you gonna invest in these days.

Not a crash, but a correction will be highly possible as $5000 levels will be profit booking levels for may people here. A correction may last up to $4200 will be expected after prices will be testing up to $5100 levels. So, we can expect high ups and downs with this month also. But again by end of this month we can be sure about prices getting back to another round of rally toward $6000 and then $10,000 by this year end.

I think September and October can be a bull trap, many people are going to buy thinking it can go up even further but I think a correction is still needed so if I were you I will wait for the time bitcoin losses some value before investing any more money in bitcoin.

My portfolio is at an all time high, in bitcoin and fiat, 60% is litecoin, it was an awesome bet, very glad I hold the bag even when it went way down and litecoin seemed dead AF.

Patience really paid off.

If September is going to be better than August, that will be great.

I think Bitcoin will break the $5000 barrier this September.  It ended the month of August in a Bullish position so there is a huge possibility that it will break $5000 and reach at least $5500 at the end of September.  With the upcoming update on November I am sure that there will be a good reason to hype Bitcoin and push its price to higher limit.

We've seen the price of bitcoin essentially stabilize at $4700 thus far in the first day of November.

Of course, a lot depends on the outcome of the NY agreement, and if bitcoin stays in one piece and the protocol upgrade goes well in general then i think that another pump to get us over $5k or even $6k is entirely possible.

If it fails though, then we can expect the price of btc probably go down to around $2.5k-$3.5k.

But until then, i think the price will be relatively stable. Just hanging around the $4.7k mark.

I think the reason why bitcoin is becoming more resilient with time is connected to the number of people who own bitcoins.
A swarm always reacts slower than a few individuals.
Five years ago, only a few people owned coins. When a few of them sold, that affected the price and brought more of the to sell as well, what led to an even bigger affect in price.
Now there are many bitcoin owners. If a some sell, you do not recognice it in price very often.
Even if there is price movement, many people do net even know about that because they do not look at the price very often.
And even if they notice the price movement, they do not sell because to them bitcoin is a long term investment.

Looks from the price movement, i thought this month there will be a moment of strong rising on bitcoin prices and leads higher. Many said Bitcoin will continues to strengthen in its value that leads to altitude, and in my opinion that's big possible happening.
This is big possible that bitcoin will continue to rise. This means the demand is high and still bitcoin have been continue to strong no matter what.

There's a big chance's that bitcoin rise up will continue for month and expect that price would reach for even 6000$ at piece but I don't know what would be the outcome of it on next following month since another big issue will come for bitcoins so I think I will just watch this coin closely and buy whenever theirs opportunity and sell if there's bad things happen.

well, I think, that bitcoin prices will soon rise in the coming September. maybe the price will reach $ 5000, seeing bitcoin prices are currently very high, so there is a possibility in September instead of bitcoin prices will be higher than this month.

That's possible mate, the price will be much higher than this month of August due to increasing demand that's happening right now. We must be prepared for the coming days signs of spiking and surging of the price is here now, specially coming last month of December will be the most promising month of the year. I think minimal fluctuations also happens at year end due to more people will be spending their money for Holiday celebrations, so this start of the month of september it's very exciting to see that fluctuations were like waves in the seen goes up and down.

I agree with you when the time was passes bitcoin grows become stronger and bigger. this happens because many factors and the most affect it is because today more and more people are investing their wealth to bitcoin, they believe bitcoin is one of the most promising investment. and my prediction is I'm sure the end of this year bitcoin price will be at least $ 5k.

As of now the price of bitcoin is already 4600 dollars and I I think the month of september the price of bitcoin will reach 5000 dollars so if you have extra money in your pocket you can buy bitcoin and for sure you can earn a lot of profit in the future. More bitcoin that you have more chances to become millionaire. Invest now enjoy profit later.

I was also thinking that by now we should have a good correction in other to enable others to buy bitcoin at a cheaper price. We should not see to thing that the price of bitcoin will collapse base on technical or fundamental issue because bitcoin has come out very strong from must of them. September 2017 will  be another month that bitcoin is going to make significant progress and we may see it above $6000 before end of the month.

For now bitcoin is very strong in it's current price we can really see it right now that the value of bitcoin keeps hitting in the $4500 value mark right now but don't get your faith up because there is a possibility that it can have a dip but I am not saying that it will drop, we can significantly see dips in every time bitcoin push further up there is a resistance, and you can never put that out and having a clear thought on having only the positive ones.

I don't think too dump would not be happen but as price fluctuates in upcoming months. You need to be understand the situation and hold the bitcoins accordingly. Sometimes our situation made us to sell to utilize it for different purposes.

I am sure that soon we will see a price reduction. Maybe a little, but it will. Analyst charts already show these signals. But I see in this a positive moment - we will be able to trade in alternative coins and buy even more bitcoins

A healthy price correction is somewhat needed a long the way because we can't keep the market on a massive bull run. Actually upon checking the price now, it looks like its down ~1%. I'm saying that a long the way price correction is good so that new investors can buy in dips. And I don't think that a crash is forthcoming, just a bit of price going down then we will see it recovered again and going strong.

I'm thinking along $5000+ would be a good thing to see next coming months before the threat of hard fork in November.

Depends the situation on market and the scenario of whales in next time, we have our own strategies to deal with them. But remember, management our capapital always important, even if you see some opportunities can helps you get rich, you should check again the risk careful before decided trading.

For me whales are not that influential anymore. If they want to move the price then it should be a group of whales coordinating to one another. I think bitcoin ecosystem doesn't worked like before. We already have a full backing of a country that is why its hard to manipulate the prices.

I think that with time bitcoin has become more stable, although still volatile, but not so prone to big crashes. This fall shouldn't have any special influence on bitcoin price, at least not in negative way and I expect that price will rise more especialy as the end of the year will approach. We are very close to 5000$ now so by the end of the year we could cross treshold and even go beyond it.

Unless there would be a chance that bitcoin private keys could be generated at will of a super computer, then for sure everybody will dump the shit out of it.
But seems like this probability is not yet eminent and would take a long time to happen, though it is also possible to upgrade bitcoin code anyway.
If the rules of normal market still can use with cryptocurrency market, sell in May and go ahead until September has ended. So, I think if trader use their holiday for travel, they will comeback market in September and new capital will deposit to crypto market Cheesy

The current bitcoin price always has a positive trend. If you talk that bitcoin will not decrease then I am also sure that this will happen because these days bitcoin prices have good stability. Even today there has been a considerable rise. 5% to 20% is a very large number, imagine when we invest in large quantities, this is very profitable.

The price of bitcoin is inflated up to 4600$ and I believe it to hike to the milestone 5000$ in the upcoming September. It will continue to rise like this bringing new surprises for the bitcoin holders...
I also think that way too. As I've noticed it flares up for almost a month now. Surprisingly, the update of being skyrocketed prices makes it worth. So hopefully this has something to do with the value that investors have ever put up. As a matter of fact many of us now are gradually making decisions in selling it or buying it or better trade. Nonetheless, people are still patronizing bitcoin's name because it gives everybody a second chance to continue living despite the crisis that are happening.

If the current trend will not change in September we will see rising prices. I don't expect bitcoin to grow continuously. I don't need it. For me it is enough that bitcoin will live on and will become an important instrument in the struggle for their rights.

August 2017 has been good to bitcoin it really gives hope to many investors and bitcoin holders I think september will still be a good month for bitcoin and the value will keep appreciating up to the end of this year. I am hoping for a good pump to come again.
Yes, the ongoing year is good for bitcoin as well for most other digital currencies. Particularly ethereum too made a big growth in the current year. Now looking the price variations, I believe that we might start the month with $5000 as the starting price.
Flash crash or go to the moon before start the September, hmm... Grin, very difficult for predict because tomorrow still is one day of August. Any situation is possible happening, we cannot know tomorrow Bitcoin will have big crash or not Smiley

We've already had a mini-flash-crash, as BTC has gone from $4630 to $4500. The question is whether it can hold onto $4500 or tumble below it.

Bitcoin is not getting more resilient to dumps per se. I think that may be an illusion created by the fact that this pump has gone on for a long long time, something that we have never experienced before this event. I do think that bitcoin is a lot more stable, though, compared to the 2013 pump. Everything is much further spread out and it's not just something happening in one minute and the next it's crashing.

In the new month, i really don't expect the price to change much. It'll stay at around the current level, plus or minus $200(so i'd say $4200-$4800). Everything currently depends on segwit2x, whether or not it works out for us. And that is currently hard to tell.

As Bitcoin have already surpassed $4500 today. $5000-$5500 is very much possible in September. There is increased investor's interest. Price will keep on shooting and touching new ATH. Demand is increasing with fast rate.

It really is extremely hard to predict the outcome of these things in such volatile conditions. Right now we are most likely in the mid to late term of the bubble. There is definitely increased investor interest, but it does not stem from anything substantive. It is only because they want to make more profit and therefore they invest in btc without even knowing what it is.

$5000-5500 is possible, and i would argue even likely looking at this stage.

But you gotta ask yourself is this sort of price sustainable? I don't think it is, honestly. BTC could go to $6k for all i know, but you have to spread out your risk so that the dump doesn't catch you unprepared. And as someone else said, it'll come down to the NY agreement, and how it goes.

I see the current price value of bitcoin already menyampai on the $4500 it be the opportunity for the user to continue improving investment bitcoin because chances are at the beginning of september 2017 that will come on the numbers will reach bitcoin $7000. I'm sure this will happen to the movement of the bitcoin so quickly is increasing all the time.

If the people from stock market are now moving to crypto market, it will be huge by the time there will be major adoption of the crypto world wide. I'm one of the future millionaire then. If bitcoin will be more than 10k, i guess the rest of the token we are keeping are worth more than what it is now.
There will be a very big shift. But in the absence of such things, bitcoin will still have many enthusiasts. Today even bitcoin prices have increased several times to have a price around $ 4500. Yes it will probably happen again much increase during september.

I will turn back to bitcoin by selling my altcoins except the best ones. I never want to miss forked bitcoin. It can be very valuable like bitcoin cash in the future.

I think the second half of August many business people are on holiday. So I believe when September/October comes things should pick up considerably.

Offices are empty in August, so if all goes well we should see some moar mooning for BTC. or at least I really hope so.

If my predict is right, Bitcoin will raise up first, then the altcoin market will comeback mega bullish trend again like earlier of this year.
However, my predict can become true or not depends whales still want earn profit with Bitcoin or want take profit to USD early.
Very difficult for predict exactly with market at now.

Definitely in coming time btc price is going to rise considering the few countries are in pipeline to legalize the btc. Also the adoption rate has increased due to more awareness about cypto currency. And yes altcoin particularly if you hold some good coin with the rise of bitcoin i personally feel one can be millionaire easily if made investment in right coin.

If you are saying investors are abandoning stock market for crypto market. Then I doubt so is the case. There might be some increased interest of investors. But stock market is quite huge and established, no investor would be abandoning it unless he gets some huge returns or a year have passed atleast. Investors always take a calculative move.

Honestly it would really be quite dumb for anyone to be investing too much in bitcoin right now.

I feel like in the coming month we might see some rises but after that we might see some sizeable corrections happening at all. This sort of exponential growth can't just go up forever, every single time there has been this kind of growth there has been a dump afterwards. The problem is timing the dump and that usually can't be done efficiently.

ATH could be broken but then again, it'll just be the peak of the bubble. I wouldn't put more than say, 15% of my portfolio worth in btc. If you bought btc early then maybe up to 50% but don't buy too much right now.

This. Also - I think investor money is sitting on the sidelines watching how this thing with BTC/BCH works out. Initially it went smoothly, but then it started to get rocky (for both chains as the hashing power switched back and forward). Add in that there might be another fork in November and we may have problems. So there are a lot of people with wait and see positions (and some are putting money in alts instead).

But beware. Bitcoin started 2009. By November 2012 it was near $1250. At the beginning of 2017, it was around $250. Now, $4300.
Can you please stop making up numbers?  The rise to >$1000 was in 2013, not 2012.

Also, the price at the start of 2017 was $972 according to coinmarketcap.

Ignoring news and negative situations does not mean that BTC is more "resilient" than before.  It's important to recognise that some of this price rise has been caused by "new" money which was not aware of the previous situations BTC was in and they could still be weak hands for all we know.

It's more likely that the market thinks the positive news (particularly SegWit) outweighs the negative news for the time being.  This will not remain forever - as we know, there will always be bearish periods for assets.

IMO, the price will remain reasonably high until about mid-October.  Then it'll all be down to the outcome of the New York Agreement.

Extremely good idea for you to diversify your investments into other fields than just bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a great long term investment but don't expect it to go up much more. In september i think we are going to see lots of sideways movements, potentially the price will be down by a couple of hundred bucks after another pump.

Not sure when the major adjustment that everyone is talking about is going to come but imo it is going to come sooner or later. Matter of time, really. Just don't invest anything more than you can afford to lose, this is same with everything.

I am sorry to disappoint you but if you are expecting a crash then it may not ever happen until a new ATH is found.
we are after a big price rise and also after multiple price corrections where price took a dive and recovered. and remember than each time price does a correction after a rise, it becomes smaller. so you can not expect the same bottom even if a drop happen. if you have missed buying in the previous biggest drop then you have missed that forever. right now you can either buy at this price or wish for an unpredictable thing to happen like an exchange getting hacked out of nowhere or US banning bitcoin Grin

I too have been expecting the price to come down, where it will correct itself to more appropriate levels as I believe that the currrent market is overbought. However, the market is as unpredictable as it has always been, and from there it goes mostly in the exact opposite direction of what most people here were thinking. In that regard, I prefer a hold a neutral stance from this point - it may still correct as I and a lot people here were initially thinking, but market might also consolidate right now, where it will start to rush further to the $5000 level and beyond. Either situation is extremely profitable for me, so there will be no feeling bad or disappointment.

Its hard not to notice that weve had an extrememly large injection of fiat the past couple of months. To me this looks like more people are investing than taking a profit so in my opinion a large correction is long overdue. Im sure price will still stay quite high compared to months ago but im not so sure we will be going as high as most people seem to think we will be. Surely the bull run has to end eventually?

Realizing the marketcap today, i think it will skyrocket slowly until the end of the year. Still waiting for another hopeful small dump to buy bitcoin. Looking at it this week, bitcoin is unstoppable.

Is there be really another segwit? If this will happen people will hold again to buy and will wait another month to observe if it will be successfull

I get the impression that bitcoin is becoming more resilient the older it gets.
only because more people get in and market grows bigger and the resistances become stronger and also more importantly because more people figure out what FUD is and they start disregarding it.

Quote
It has fought off a handful of crashes with the MSM then writting it off everytime to then see it come back stronger.
MSM? MainStream Media?!!
anyways there wasn't really any real crash! it was all FUD and a little panic because of forks. a drop was expected and a bigger drop was also expected because of how bitcoin and its panic sellers work.

you would be most probably wasting your time because if you click on that above link you can see the rise happened, then the correction came and price went down a lot for you to buy at cheaper prices (~$3600) and you already missed it.

But beware. Bitcoin started 2009. By November 2012 it was near $1250. At the beginning of 2017, it was around $250. Now, $4300.

There are some interesting forces playing with Bitcoin. The swings are short term and long term.

There are some financial gurus out there who are suggesting $500,000 to $1,000,000... without a clear time limit.

If the USD wavers in some slightly significant way, Bitcoin might skyrocket.

Where did you get these statistics?

In the start of year 2017, Bitcoin was $1000 and it never touched $1250 in 2012. It was in November 2013 when Bitcoin touched $1190. Bitcoin hovered between $100-$1200 from year 2013-2016 with occasional ups and downs. In 2017 there was an accelerated growth which is continuing because of increased user base or demand.

A good idea for september is to buy  bitcoin, or another altcoin that has good speculation.
and you will benefit, if the bitcoin price goes up $ 5000- $ 7000.

current bitcoin value at the moment is roughly in between 4200-4300 USD, if price prediction this year end would reach up to 5000 USD then you will have a gain of at least 15-17 percent in less than a 3 months time and that is still worth to invest today.

I think also good idea would be to buy some other cryptocurrencies, including new ones.
And may be take part in ICOs, buy tokens
It all depends from the amount of money you have

I think it's better to buy anyway, as Bitcoin will rise

I am going to buy anyway, but if I can get more for my Bucks, great.

I just get the feeling right now there are  a lot of people are now starting to sit up and take notice, I can see it chasing $6000 by the end of the year if people don't start profit taking.

I live in the south cambs area and there is a lot of money flying around there. I can just see a lot of these people being advised by their investment brokers just as "a little bit of fun" and as a good outside bet to stick 1 Bitcoin into their investment portfolio, and trust me that is peanuts for a lot of people in the UK today. And at the end of the day there is only 16 million Bitcoins up for grabs, not many of them if every Tom, Dick and Harry wants one in their little collection.
