I guess for the time being blockchains should just exist and evolve.
As the technology will develop stable blockchains will find their application in real life. It just takes time.

Kindly delete if I am mistaken , I can't find as of now the project who will use Blockchain for voting. I guess many would disagree( The ones who are already in power).
