i'm assuming withdrawals will be re-enabled once gox / karpeles has used this arbtrage opportunity enough to dig gox out of insolvency (plus some nice profits).  if the bitcoin withdrawal limit is low, or i fgox has caught up to other exchanges, there might not be any impact once withdrawals sre enabled

The other exchanges are correlated with Gox, but how high can they go? That arbitrage gap has got to look extremely appealing.

If you think the gap is not being actively arbed today, I think you are mistaken.  It's being curated.  Here's one area where I will go full paranoid.  It's just too juicy not to use it, and pretty much anyone at Gox has to have the ability to use it.   The gap doesn't go away because they are maximizing their BITCOIN profit, not their FIAT profit.

What's gonna happen when all those gox coins are released to the market?

 "If" they do.

Most likely a whole lot price whiplashing, but ultimately it will represent a lot of selling power.

On the one hand, Gox coming good on their word (fat fkn chance if u ask me) would be 'bullish' and there are enough noveau riche idiots in Bitcoin to pile into Bitcoin on this news but a huge amount of these coins have been bought by high risk tolerant investors looking to arbitrage at earliest opportunity......will also be a lot of punters who are totally exasperated with Bitcoin thanks to their experiences with Gox  who will also make for the exit as soon as they can.

The Gox coin holders who hold, won't affect price at all.

Most likely, 90% of the sub $300 BTC are already in Karpeles' & co's hands.
