That probably must be it. Birds flying at high altitudes and crapping all the way, which creates methane, which induces the greenhouse effect.

They probably ride comfortably on the Jet Stream while shitting (actively flying while shitting won't be feasible).
That's why it gets dark every day. Through Earth rotation, we get out of the shit shadow and day breaks again. Also known as sparrowfart.

I just thought of something. What if most the birds are on top of the filament shitting, thus blocking sunlight getting through, hence the Earth getting warmer. Or, just one giant bird.

I'm sure the government holds all the birds hostage until spring comes again.

I had flocks of nonmigratory birds all last winter till early spring, but nada till the other day. I do see stray sparrows and a hawk now and then, not counting way fewer than normal geese heading north on the coldest days late last year.

I wonder if the filament covering the Earth has anything to do with the decline of the bird population. We need to send a rocket up to examine the filament.

Well, when I was a child I was told that birds fly to warmer climates for the winter.
I wonder what parents tell kids in those warm climates when they don't see the birds. Maybe they show them pictures with penguins.

That's really weird, there would be many explanations if you've seen less in the past year but the past few days is really weird. Has it not been abnormally cold or something?

Birds have wings. They fly. They often fly long distances. Nobody tracks all the birds. Only an eensy teensy tiny fraction of a percent of all the birds are ever tracked. Nobody this side of God knows where all the birds have gone or go.

This is one thing media never actually talks about. It's everyone's responsibility to raise awareness. Climate change, global warming is real, and is going on right now. Whether we choose to talk about it or not.

I meant to report that about 3-4 days ago I saw for the time since last spring about three dozen European starlings feeding off the heals of bread I tossed out the back door. Most the squirrels look like ruts though with a couple having mange, with locals expressing the same thing around Sandwich.

I've yet to see a mass of birds feeding off the bread I tossed for the squirrels virtually daily since spring of last year, whereas all through last winter till early spring the birds were abound. And, the squirrels look sickly and smallish than of previous years. Wild rabbits throughout spring were too timid, easily approachable before scurrying off not that much of a distance away, stopping as to wondering why they were spooked in the first place. Odd!

same here. I think this year we even have noticeable more than in the past, especially crows.

Only certain birds do. Here in Northern Illinois we have a myriad of species that hang around all winter, hence people buying birdseed to feed them. Here at home, we feed them bread and other scraps, of which they used to daily flock to the pile of food and devour it. Now, it's not being touched, and the squirrels are on a walnut kick, otherwise they would eat the shit as they normally do in between the wild crops as they come into season.

Six days ago I witnessed a flock of hawks (~two dozen count) gliding over the house. At first, I thought they were crows till I saw that they were gliding. Coming back from NW Illinois Friday I saw only one bird: a hawk with red plumage around its neck.

For the past three days, there have not been a single bird in our yard, and we toss out bread and scraps daily to feed them. The stuff hasn't been touched. I witnessed a squirrel pick up a piece of bread and take a nibble, then discard it, assuming they're stuff from all the walnuts.

Today, I traveled to Bollingbrook to visit the IKEA store (talk about putting lipstick on a pig, their shit sucks, but went there with a lady friend who swears by the place--another story). The only birds I saws were about three dozen geese on a pond and a flock of twenty geese near the Des Plaines River. Not a single sparrow, blackbird, robin (they may migrate this time of year--not sure), dove, crow, etc., was seen. Of all the ponds and lakes I passes, not another goose was seen, even though every year each and every pond would have hundreds of geese on those waters.

Googling "dead birds" or simply "bird" via News results nothing.

Has anybody else seen no or low amount of birds the pass few days? My sister confirms that she hasn't seen any in the past couple days since she hits the hay when the sun comes up and normally hears and sees them out the windows of the three season porch facing the street here in Sandwich, Illinois.

One more thing: The common grey squirrels here are about 3/4 their normal size as I've seen years past.
