Still not hearing somebody discussing.

Some consider THIS a private matter, thus rest assured that THIS is being discussed offline within the comforts of ones' homes and, dare I say, in back-room THIS dealings.

I really don't know what this is.....

Remember, toss your parents' this out the window and you'll be able to wrap your head around this. This is not that complicated.

Parents: "Why do you have to be like this?"

So I try to be like that and being that forget what this is.

Then this thinks it's that and tries to find this but being this cannot but find that.

Perhaps I'll never know what this is...

The more people who bump this thread, the more we'll get to see this. Tell your friends and family about this. This should go viral. This is not your parents' "This".

So discuss it.

I'm all ears.

Using "this" in a sentence:

"You see this? Soon I'll be all ears."

Quote
Word Origin and History for this

Old English þis, neuter demonstrative pronoun and adjective (masc. þes, fem. þeos), probably from a North Sea Germanic pronoun formed by combining the base *þa- (see that) with -s, which is probably identical with Old English se "the" (representing here "a specific thing"), but it may be Old English seo, imperative of see (v.) "to behold." Cf. Old Saxon these, Old Norse þessi, Dutch deze, Old Frisian this, Old High German deser, German dieser.
