decided to stop the project. will make it better before start again.

all deposits will be returned.

thank you every one.
Lock this thread and you can open another announcement thread when you come up with new project (you can find option to lock thread on bottom.

Seriously, have you got some deposits  Shocked

if you have had any deposits you need to return them asap... then make a valid project  and relaunch! please lock this thread but leave it visible!

I would like to know what this program was about and why it was terminated abruptly. I didn't even caught wind of this project and it has already closed down. Can anyone link me to this project's announcement and why it closed down like that? Hope everybody gets back their money though, they deserve that much.

What's the guarantee that u wont run away with the deposited ETH?

That's actually the beauty of ETH compared to Bitcoin. Basically all he does is create a smart contract and everybody can go and look at the source code and find out if he is trying to cheat in some way.

So anyone with basic programming skills can verify this. And its impossible to steal funds from a contract since it doesn't actually have any private keys. You just need to look at the script he is using and you can easily determine if its legit or not.
Maybe he wasnt informed on smart contracts, yes even a simple basic programming skills can really see if theres something wrong but as of now OP seems changed his mind and now he terminate this service and its much better than trying to scam anyone and its the best to launch this site without having any problems or bugs. Looking to this on next launch ETH lottery is new for me.

If it is so easy to get funds from people then many people would have tried this method. Very likely anyone will send coins to you.

In that site, I can't understand anything and my google chrome can't translate into English. You should ask some escrows to hold your funds.

if i find an escrow to be in middle. then i'm building his reputation. in that way, i will never be building my own reputation. also, in this way, how people build their reputation from scratch? how these reputable escrows built their reputation if they were always relied on anther escrow when they were not such reputable...? what about some exchanges, such as BTC-E...etc... what if they get your funds and run away. then what guarantees these exchanges wont do this???

so how how you guys think to build reputation from scratch?? curious...

also, those unknown lottery websites, they said their algorithm is 100% randomized then it seems that wow you guys all believed it. but for mine, refer to a legal government regulated lottery institution, you think not reliable?....

It's a good decision that you stopped your service. You can gain a trust over the time and it will not come immediately when you want it. All those guys also like you started as newbies and over the time slowly gained the trust. So you should be active on this forum and start doing a small transaction and gain the trust in the longer run.

I did try to contact some of them at https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcointalk-escrows-trade-safely-855778
this is my account at Localbitcoins.com: https://localbitcoins.com/accounts/profile/bonooll/
I got 22 confirmed trades with 19 different partners. 100% positive feedback
trusted by 8 people. Phone number, email, passport verified.
trade volume: 5-10 BTC
I don't think having good trust in localbitcoins means much here in this forum however I suggest others to play with small amount if they want to take risk this involve.

There is already a decentralized lottery trueflip.io , hope you can take some idea from it.

well, they just left it unresponsive. (i did provide them tips, even if not enough, we could discuss it)

I do understand why they are not interested. This will be a tiring job for you as an escrow you have to send 1~10 or even 20+ transactions(the prizes, refunds..etc) manually every time after the lottery's result out. and this is just a start-up business they will not be able to get much enough tips as they wish.

I do understand the concerns of all of you. I appreciate any other suggestions from you to increase my reputation.

please also consider it as part of my credit record. you can first try with a small budget.

some updates:
ticket price lowered to 0.01ETH
refundable before 2 hours before the closing time

maybe your not understanding the issue here?
it is not the reliability of the system your using or any other situation but your personal reliability and trustworthiness!
no one knows you and if they send lets say .5 BTC worth to your lottery and all of a sudden you simply dont answer or change accounts or whatever reason there could be! the person who sent the cash is out simple and stupid!  so it is very doubtful anyone will entrust a unknown person with money!
that is why you need to use a KNOWN Escrow!
you wont be building his reputation =because he already has it! but you will be making yourself available to assure things go right! using an escrow is not harmful to your idea! not using it and making reasons why not to use one is certainly a HUGE RED FLAG!!!!!

Seems a good lottery. But could have taken the lucky numbers from something like blockchain hashes or whatever they call rather than a local lottery.

Nobody gonna send you anything for this lottery until you use escrow agent in middle, there is nothing that can guarantee that you will not run away with all deposits you will have. You need to translate this site http://www.lotto.pl/ekstra-pensja/wyniki-i-wygrane , even google fails to automatically translate that site LOL  Grin

without securing the funds ... i doubt you will have many that will blindly trust anyone to hold their cash!
and a good amount of structure would be better also

Until you gain trust in this forum, you should use some escrow to manage your funds then you may get some buyers otherwise no one will even try your method.

Everyone wants a guaranty of funds. You should find a way for this to succeed in your new venture.
