I have been using gift cards (i buy them with bitcoin from bitrefill, coinsbee, cryptorefill or dundle) to make purchases from ebay. Are you sure you can't use a gift card? I thought those USD balance can we converted to EURO. Not sure though.

According to Bitrefill, the cards will only work in the U.S: https://www.bitrefill.com/buy/ebay-usa/?hl=en

So I'm guessing the same thing applies for to other providers.

Coinsbee does have some sort of limit after which you will have to do KYC to make further purchase.

Correct. You will have to verify your identity after buying 10K EUR worth of gift cards.

I'm looking for a middle man service that would allow me to spend bitcoin on ebay items. All I could find are a past projects that got abandoned (forra.io, bitstore.tech, coin2shop, thebigcoin.io etc..).  Does such a thing even exist anymore?

I'm aware that a potential solution is setting up a virtual debit card, but I don't feel like going through paperwork and time to get one. I live in Europe so eBay gift cards aren't an option for me either.

Like OmegaStar suggest, you can try prepaid cards (never tried them, but if they are the ones like the plastic prepaid amex giftcard, then it is supposed to work). You don't have to go through any paper work (unless you order a card with a huge preloaded balance). You just fill in your address and set up a phone number. Cards usually gets activated through just a phone call.

If you're sure that VCCs work fine in Ebay and you ever find yourself in a rush to buy something, you use Coinsbee. You won't need to go through any paperwork (KYC). You just pay for the card, redeem the code on a third party website, and you will be given the card details. The downside for solution is that 50 EUR is the highest denomination.

I don't know about him but this website will serve great for my needs as I often need to make purchase from fiver and because fiverr don't accept bitcoins so I can use the VCC from them to purchase various services from fiverr. Thanks a lot really for giving the link. The best part is that their fees is almost negligible because they are charging like $0.5 extra on a card that contains $5 and $4 fees on a card that is loaded with $50 so that's great.
Coinsbee does seem to be the only site with small fee. They are cheaper than bitrefill, cryptorefills and dundle. But the latter three have cashback program.

You want want to try the DashBragin as mentioned by OmegaStarScream but you can alternatively also look for like-minded individuals and make a thread in services section, a lot of people are willing to provide such services for a little fees.

You can use DashBargain, it's similar to the services you mentioned. You just fill the form and they'll buy the things for you (for a fee). See their Bitcointalk topic.
