Hello James (BarrySty1e),

I see u are still taking peoples money and not delivering what you agreed to. When should I expect the .5 BTC and the 30k PIVX to be returned to me?? It's ok though, pay these guys back first, I am not going anywhere....

i stand by my original comments; nothing to add.

you were provided with a working client and sourcecode, as well as plenty of testing.
the last binary sent was to ensure that you were indeed running the last compiled wallet; not the intermediary ones sent in the meantime.

the fact you've been quick to jump to accusations; then raise a 'scam accusation' thread, after being provided with source code and working binary, simply shows me and others that you aren't patient at all; the delay at the end would have caused little to no issues for either of us.

the work was paid for and completed; you have sourcecode and wallet, transaction complete - our last encounter i had sent the coins to you; and you were told that you will need to wait for the coins to stake for 12 hours, had you simply left the wallet open - they wouldve kept staking.

i'm leaving this where it sits, i havent had any negative dealings with this forum until the accusation you've raised now.

hello all,

quick recap of events.
was asked to help with the blockchain bloat of the existing hyper client, as cryptodatabase had pointed out it was a drain on system resources and ran slowly at times. i suggested moving to another client or restarting the chain with different parameters.

had ended up reusing the existing hyper codebase with different parameters (back/forth correspondence below):

You were asked to upgrade HYPER to the latest Proof of Stake source code, only after several failed wallets, a lot of time passed, and a warning that a refund would be requested if you didn't provide what you were paid for that you sent the last compiled version of the old HYPER source code.

cryptodatabase had forgot to enable staking in the client.
the chain had sat stagnant for some time (staking not enabled on node coind); and i did not keep my copy of the wallet open for long after sending coinbase to cryptodatabase.

confirmation the client had been working correctly, fired it up @ 12042017 and immediately started staking (my wallet):

The chain did not move at all when crazyjack and myself tested it out. The version you gave us last was provided the day after I told you that it had been too long and I would request a refund and find someone who could. You provided the last version and then disappeared for a week leaving us with nothing. It was at that point I sent you a message informing you of your termination from the job and that I wanted a refund.

As for enabling staking, the old HYPER wallet has staking enabled by default so that shouldn't have been a problem at all.

i was slightly irked that a scam accusation was in the works.
i found out that cryptodatabase had started work with another dev (his perogative, no offense taken) and had received his new codebase; to find he wasnt provided with a windows compile:

no compiled copy from new dev:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.18580043

to my knowledge neither the new hyper wallet has launched, nor has the coinswap taken place (as of today; 27th april 2017). i'd provided a node for it to stay on (since removed), clean source code and a compiled qt wallet (along with coinbase sent to him). additionally it was pointed out that a user had issues using the wallet on windows 7; which is odd, as my development VM runs windows 7.

This is very inaccurate. The developer I hired when you disappeared and left us hanging told me 4 days for the new wallet. 4 days later I had the source code and a compiled Windows wallet from that developer, both of which are available for download via https://cryptodatabase.net/hyper.

It even shows in my message that you quoted that I had the source code and windows qt. Your point with this was someone else asking me if I could recompile the windows wallet myself, to which I said no.

The coin swap has been ongoing for almost 2 weeks now. We have a node, new thread, block explorer, and the new wallet is functioning without bugs.

cryptodatabase had mentioned his financial motivations for the wallet refresh was due to owning a lot of HYPER; and it had recently been delisted by one exchange. as of now (27th of april, 2017); thecryptochat.net, where this offhand comment was made is currently down so i am unable to grab a screencapture to show this here. this is a big 'tell', so i won't place too much importance on it until i have the chat logs.

i've been a regular of this forum for some years; i'd welcome anyone who ive become friends with to comment here to provide me with some backing, as to being an honest character (being eccentric is not a personality flaw).

Your honesty with me ended when you told me you would repay 0.1 BTC within a week. It's now been over 2 weeks and you haven't paid anything back and you've ignored me the entire time.

Repayment address still has 0 BTC in it, https://blockchain.info/address/1BSWJp6tSUyJDmdryBfrS5YzCLmc8ELMJa

Limited in number. Limitless in potential.
All I can say don't trust fully on this internet even a reputable legendary member has the chance to scam anyone on this forum just what had happen before, so what I mean is always use an escrow if you want to make a trade/transaction to anyone. Hope this will not happen again to anyone who wants to make their own altcoin.

Hello community,

On March 8, 2017 I hired barrysty1e to do some work for me. This job was to upgrade an old coins source to something newer. After several failed attempts and constant disappearances over the course of a month I fired him and hired someone who could do it.

During the course of this job he would go long periods without contact, taking frequent multi-day 'breaks' on a project with a limited time period. After more than a month I told him that since he didn't complete the job he was hired for I want my money back. After about another week he finally got in contact with me after I contacted the other people he works for and let them know I would open a scam report on him if he didn't repay it.

After the discussion we agreed on a partial payback of 0.2 BTC of the 0.3 BTC I initially sent him to do the job. He agreed to pay back 0.1 BTC within a week and the rest after. It has now been 2 weeks since that agreement and he has ignored my messages even though he is active on these forums.

Do not use barrysty1e for any developer or project work. He has failed to deliver what he was paid to do, ignoring messages, and has made no attempt at all to pay back even a portion of what he owes me.
