I didn't accept the cloud mining contracts, that's my point. I really want to take them to court over this.. but they're in France, I'm in the United States, and as far as i can tell those laws didn't apply until recently. Idk maybe someone here can help me out because i have limited access to the internet..
Maybe you can gang up with a group of other victims and take them to court but I am certain it won't be easy to apprehend those scammers. First of all the main reason they use BTC for transactions is so that it's hard to track them down should they decide to scam people and the victims try to follow it up

Why did you accept the bloody cloud mining contracts in the first place?
You sent them 3.55 BTC, that's the exact amount they should have refunded you not in the form of mining contracts.

Since the value has grown, I doubt they will even refund you your BTC. If they failed to do back then, what makes you think they can raise BTC worth $162,000 right now?

This is a review I left on trust pilot..
They never returned the money to me via order 8484. support.sesterce.com answered the cancellation of production at Innosilicon in January 2020, and the money can be returned to me in September 2020. Although I submitted a request for a refund in October 2019.
What a big joke! How do they expect you to wait for you own money for almost a year and yet it was not your fault that they fucked up with their unprofessional service?
Are they going to pay you more fine in damages that they will have caused you over the course of time until they repay you?

Is Sesterce a scam!!!!!!?Huh
Ok, Sesterce said they will fix either my cloud mining account, or refund me in full... if i remove the scathing review that i had here before...
Hmmmmmmm..🤔
So I removed it, now let's see where this takes us.. Now remember in June 2019, I paid sesterce 3.55 BTC for 8 Grin miners, which I never recieved and Sesterce wouldn't refund me for a FULL YEAR, but when they did they only refunded me in cloud mining contracts at the value of my fiat purchase amount, not the 3.55 BTC that I sent to them. At that time in 2019, 3.55 BTC was worth about $28,000, now it's worth $198,800.. 😳.. The 688TH/s that I recieved in lieu of my 3.55 BTC has only earned 0.65 BTC since June 2020😪, which at purchase cost is about $5,000, but now is worth about $36,000, so technically i should get a remaining refund of 2.9 BTC, which is $23,000 in 2019, or $162,000 right now.. right?
It's complicated 🤯, but here's the point, Sesterce owes me 2.9 BTC..

I'm not a noob 🧐 to crypto, I've been investing and trading in crypto since 2014, I have had cloud mining contacts before, and lost A LOT of money with them. I am shell shocked 😱 at just the mention of cloud mining. So you could imagine my surprise when I found out Sesterce was only refunding me in cloud mining contracts... PTSD is real..!!!

As I said let's see what Sesterce is going to do.

THIS VERY POST RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW IS EITHER GOING TO MAKE OR BREAK SESTERCE AND DEPENDING ON HOW THEY TREAT ME WILL DETERMINE WHETHER THEY GET ANY MORE CLIENTS FROM THIS POINT FORWARD..

IT'S A MATTER OF RISK ASSESSMENT ON THEIR PART, IS IT WORTH IT THEM TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND PAY THE 2.9 BTC THAT THEY OWE ME 😇, WHICH WILL MAKE ME STOP LEAVING DAMAGING ☠ REVIEWS LIKE THIS AND THEY CAN KEEP ON GETTING NEW SUCKERS🍭🍭🍭 TO FALL FOR THEIR PONZI SCAM..?? OR ARE THEY GOING TO LEAVE ANOTHER LONG EXCUSE 💩🚽 FOR A REPLY TO THIS (LIKE THEY DID BEFORE) AND TAKE A CHANCE ON NOT REFUNDING ME CORRECTLY 🤬..Huh
LET'S SEE...🤔

IT AIN'T NO FUN WHEN THE RABBIT'S 🐰 GOT THE GUN 🔫, IS IT?? 💩💩💩.. Yeeaahhh beeaches..🏝🏝🏝..!!!

Everybody keep an eye on this review thread and I will keep you posted.

Bitech Group or Sesterce have been know to be a pain in the A** for many of their customers. Just look around in the scam accusations board, you will see so many complaints about delayed deliveries, lack of proper communication from support, delivery of equipment far from what was described etc

I wonder why one would still continue using their service. They are so shady and unreliable.

I purchased an Obelisk GRIN miner which ended up being cancelled.  I paid $1800 up front and was told I had to wait until October 26th once their fairy tale insurance paid them back for the miners and was assured I would get my refund at that point.  It's October 27th and I haven't heard anything from my recent attempts to contact your company.  Shady as fuck.  I emailed earlier this week to make sure their timing hadn't changed.  No response.  Emailed day of multiple times and this morning.  They are obviously thieves.  I wouldn't recommend anybody use Sesterce.

Check my post here (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.52218936) They said, obelisk has yet to reimbursed when in fact they already did (https://i.vgy.me/adij0d.png). If it was the fault of their insurance, I don't think they would be blaming obelisk.

You have the same prob as MAIK68 from the thread there which got resolved. I suggest to do the same thing that they did as much as possible. here's an archive of that thread (https://archive.md/WbuWE). Note that posts after the said date won't be covered.

You can start by opening a scam accusation.

For each person in this thread,

I introduce myself I am Youssef El Manssouri CEO of the Sesterce group and I would like to clarify a few points directly from myself:

- First of all, on the problems of delays and order cancellation, please be aware that we are sincerely sorry. But very clearly, you should know that in this market manufacturers make the law, as distributors we are the buffer between customer dissatisfaction and manufacturers' lack of rigour. We do everything to ensure the security of your investments and keep you informed, but be aware that even as a direct partner we have changes from manufacturers on the delivery date of batches or their stocks and that we have no power over them, the market is unbalanced and so it is. Our situation is very delicate and in view of the profitability of the miners we can hardly complain about the manufacturers because the demand is high. We really try to do our best to satisfy all customers but sometimes we can't go against the market.

About that my team create an article here : https://support.sesterce.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035875614-Disclamer-about-miners-production-delays

- Then on our accusations of SCAM, know that we are a team of more than 25 people on 3 sites around the world, that in defaults of the difficulties we have on the market of the distribution of miners due to the conditions of this market and the problems of the manufacturers, we are also specialized in cloud mining and consulting.

You will find research analyses on mining on our blog:
https://www.sesterce.com/blog

As well as videos of our team on our youtube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzlSsmtj2EJ--Dg_UrKbhnw

We are also present on several meet-ups, the latest of which is in association with our partner Binance in Marseille, France:
https://www.instagram.com/p/B3CeINuDBkY/

Please note that we are delighted to welcome you to our offices at 50 Avenue des Caillols 13012 Marseille, France:
http://bit.do/fbqqq

And finally you will find here the Sesterce team :
https://www.sesterce.com/about

- To continue on the accusations of false comments, know that this is not a practice that we support, and know that many competitors are willing to do many things to destroy our reputation and especially this kind of thing, we are not the only victims of this and even more so in the mining world other legit actors find themselves in the same situation.

- For problems with your orders, problems with the goods received or other problems, please contact our support team directly at [email protected] they will be happy to take your request.

- Stopping the distribution of B2C miners would be the easiest thing for us, the margins are very small and with the impact on the group's image and the support cases and market to deal with we are largely losing out. But in our approach to open up the mining world it seems impossible to do this at any price and we do not want to leave this community in the hands of scammers. That's why we continue to fight for your investments.

Finally, you should know that we are a growing startup and that we are aware of the issues and our problems, but we work very hard on a daily basis to respond to everyone's requests and problems and deliver the best service. In a market with so many SCAMs and people who neglect their customers, it is very hard to try to treat their customers properly and we make sure every day to improve on that, so please take all this into consideration and help us to improve your support cases.

Thank you again for the time you have allowed to read this message.

Sincerely,
Youssef El Manssouri.

The miner I am looking for is only held by them (its second hand and price is very nominal). I contacted there support regarding these threads, they saying it's only one of there customer who is doing this on different forums.
They will check with PayPal for chargeback before I place the order.

Didn't even know they had paypal, not listed here What are the payment methods?

and I recommend to check that paypal matter yourself. The company can lie and come up with excuses, so better don't trust their word that much.

thanks for the feedback.

Sesterce team saying they will very soon introduce PayPal and once they have on there site, I will place the order.

Its our hard earned money we have to take care of it ourselves.

I think as a consumer some responsibility lies on my shoulder also. Before placing an order one must ensure that he can get his money back in case of a dispute.
Its a vital part of the research which many consumers are missing.
In that case you should also read through the terms of the payment service that you use, because in some cases there are exceptions where a payment service can reject any claim of a chargeback. A lot of financial services aren't too fond of seeing their platform be used to conduct crypto related transactions, whether it's buying/selling cryptocurrencies, hardware, paying for goods and services, etc.

In a nutshell; make sure you don't break any terms. It significantly increases the chances of you getting your money back. Even better, just avoid dealing with unkown sites. Go straight to the source if you want to buy into mining hardware.

whats your policy sesterce regarding Chargeback and refund? Can sesterce representative comment on that?
Reading through PayPal's (or any other service) terms will help you out a great deal.

Did anybody applied for charge back? If you have paid through legitimate source like PayPal nobody can run away with your money.

Can somebody confirm they got there money back after initiating charge back or everyone here just supporting one man claim?

I actually wonder if anyone managed (or in the future will be able) to successfully request a crypto related refund from PayPal, because they haven't been too keen on businesses who don't specifically have an agreement with PayPal and for that reason are whitelisted. If they haven't been whitelisted, I doubt you'll be able to get anything back from PayPal.

What you CAN do in case you have a bank account linked to your PayPal account and PayPal isn't cooperating, is to request a refund from your bank.

I found same thread on Reddit also and likewise the initiator is no more to comment. His account is deleted but not his post. I wanna place an order to this company for a second miner, I am double-minded because of such threads.
If i were you i wouldn't bother at all. There are so many complaints about them coupled with fake "good" reviews from random newbie accounts. try looking for a better legit company that isn't shady and a pain in the butt.

Unfortunately, you won't find any such sane thing here. Just join the party and start blaming the business without knowing the motives of one who start the blame game.

What's the proof those bad reviews are not from there business competitors and from genuine customers? Just Asking !!!

Not gonna buy that in case I hear it from them simply because I don't think their presence is such a huge threat for competitors to resort to that. They're not that well-known and reputable, I don't see a reason why would their rivals bother.

In any case, the fake reviews which sheds light on what they're capable of doing cough cough LYING should be enough to stay away.
Hmm. consider this an update to my previous post since they deleted their 1st ann and made another one only to delete it again.

(ANN thread 1 | ANN thread 2)

Bunch of users in the 1st ANN (1st page) are all in the 2nd ANN (1st page) praising them.
Now take a look at their post history:

There is a guy herewho bought STU-G1135 miner from sesterce. You may contact him if you want to know more about them.

What's the proof that these photos are not fake? They have an old reputation of posting fake reviews here with their shill accounts.

I would not trust this site but if you don't love your money then you should go ahead.

Hello MAIK68,

The fact that Obelisk cancelled the GRN1s is not our responsibility, and it has put us in an embarrassing situation with our customers. For the amounts of purchases we make, we are required to use highly sophisticated escrow services and insurance policies to protect ourselves and you as a customer. That being said, you must understand that the processes generated by these insurance policies take time and that we cannot move any faster than that.

As we have offered you twice, we offer you an immediate refund, for this we must have confirmation as mentioned in our proposal that you agree not to use this insurance without which we cannot proceed. This is why we have had no positive feedback from you despite our recovery.

Then you have to take into account the delicate position of legit miners distributors in a very volatile and complicated market to manage with manufacturers who postpone their batches and sometimes cancel their production, and customers who fear for their investments. This leads us to use very sophisticated insurance policies that have saved clients' investments more than once.

On the fact that we would be a SCAM, what is also rather difficult to manage is that out of the thousands of happy customers only 1/2% of dissatisfied customers appear on the Internet, which damages our image strongly.

But to have more information on this I invite you to visit the band's website: sesterce . com

The amount of fake reviews is disturbing, stay away op. Better stick to manufacturers

Take a look at their ANN thread [ANN] - ONE OF THE BEST WORLDWIDE MINING OFFER - SESTERCE MINING. It's full of newbies with the same posting patterns and typical bot-like responses.

Here are the first 5 users who posted, notice that in the first page of their posting history, they all posted in the same threads.

clownisme - https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/enzo24-1028893
NEWICO INVESTOR - https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/newico-investor-2384011
asensio22 - https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/asensio22-1028897
prettiestgirl - https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/prettiestgirl-2123670
enzo24 - https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/enzo24-1028893

There are more users who did the same thing but I didn't list them as it's gonna be one hell of a list but you can always check them yourself.

The positive reviews about them on cryptocompare are also from newly-created accounts whose posts are mostly about them, check here https://www.cryptocompare.com/mining/sesterce-mining/

Scam for sure -

Hi, everyone.

Stay away from them, as i ordered Strongu STU U2 from them on 15.4.2019 and it was payed for in full on 17.4.2019. I recieved a miner today, however, the miner is STU U1 according to miner panel. It will also not mine using Blake2b algorithm, just Blake256r14. Wrote to them today, recieved an answer that the miner i recieved is correct miner i ordered. I am not dumb, i checked twice before writing to them. Here is the panel view, you can see in top right corner, that the miner only mines DCR (which is Blake256r14 coin!). You can change DCR to HC, which is another Blake256r14 coin. And that is it... Really disappointed, since i had to also pay for import taxes which were almost third of the miner price! As per their returns policy they do not accept returns. Think i will lawyer up and sue them for every penny i threw their way.

Here's the miner panel:

As of now they seem like another Crypto scammers.

Good luck, everyone!

mining.sesterce.com IS A SCAM

First off all sorry for my bad english.

I have pay this miner:

Innosilicon T3 – Bitcoin Miner 43 TH/S

Order Number 7603.

After a week, i ask about my status:

email from :Kenza Hemmara <[email protected]>
Hello sir,

I come back to you following your order 7603, we are really sorry but unfortunately we no longer have any stock on the T3, therefore we will not be able to ship your order.
I therefore propose two solutions:

- Convert your investment in our cloud platform with a 10% discount on your contract.

- Full refund of your order

I invite you to come back to me once you have made your choice.

My answer:

Full refund of my order.

Since then i wait for answer, but they do not answer. I did not get any money.

they usually dont have stock. they ship directly from china, so you have to pay customs and taxes. also they dont handle very fair, i heard of customer who bought Z11 preorder but they coudnt deliver...BTW: Z11 prices skyrocket. they are greedy and didnt want to sell for low pre-order price because they can sell for higher price...

dont order i would say...

Has anybody bought hardware from this company? Does anybody know if they manufacture any of their own hardware or are just a retail seller?
https://mining.sesterce.com/ (formerly Bitech Mining)
Thanks
New domain in April wouldn't touch them.
Even some links on the site don't work.
Stay away.
