Basically, I have an XFX 5870 that is a little dodgy. The default idle clock speeds are too low 157 core, 300 memory meaning that when I attempt to mine, my whole system crashes and I get green artifacts all over the screen. In Windows, I can set a profile in the AMD Vision Centre (Rebranded CCC) to set the idle clocks higher so that the artifacts disappear and I don't crash.
The thing is that I want to mine in Ubuntu but I can't figure out how to change the idle clock speeds. Does anyone know how to do this? The option isn't there in CCC like it is in Windows. I also can't find the "Profiles" folder to edit the profile.
