My wife works at a non profit in the Boston area. I did a little research and it looks like there aren't many charities set up to take BTC donations so I think this would be a great untapped area to raise money. I think I could advise her how to set up their website to take BTC donations but does anyone have experience with the following?:

How should they report the BTC donations? As their fiat value at the time of donation?

Should they just try to use the BTC to buy stuff the charity needs, or can they convert the BTC to cash?

Is this something bitpay can help with or should I just tell the charity to set up a random address on their own?

Any other issues anyone can think of?
