private pool = solo mining

just point more rig to one rig with the confing for solo mining, and you have your private pool

The sgminer does not mine directly to a wallet. Do you know any version of sgminer which can point to a wallet?

Nomp doesn't seem to mention merged mining though?

Solo merged mining is a big reason for wanting to run a pool.

For example even mmpool.org leaves out two of the SHA256 merged mined coins, and I am not aware of any other public pool that even merges just the coins that mmpool does.

I had been using p2pool but it does not seem to like Neptune ASIC miners, I would see only 1 terahash or so from a Neptune that on mmpool would yield 3.4 terahashes.

So I am interested both in pool software one can merged mine at home with with a bunch of Neptune miners and/or fallback pools that merge as many of the merged mined SHA256 coins as possible.

Also of course if I get into scrypt mining again then there too I would want to merged mine...

Heck for any algorithm I'd want to merge chains if possible.

Hey all,

Does anybody have any useful resources which show how to setup a private mining pool? I don't want/need a web interface. I want to mine an alt which uses SHA256 and give it a try using my own miners at home. I've got a Linux system with Ubuntu. I was thinking of running one of those web setups which are most commonly used(MPOS) but there seems to be a large amount of dicking around to get it working, not for mining but accounts, verifications etc.

What is the simplest way I can setup a private pool?
